I logged onto MM2 Monday night and saw Ryu had played and hearted my level. I was so excited! Then I see he cheesed my boss fight that I completely overlooked. You were supposed to spin on the spike top and use the fireballs that come out while spinning to melt the ice block/coin. Otherwise it would hit the muncher into a p-switch and you would fall to your death. There are 3 spike tops with 4 ice blocks each. Oh well. If anyone is gonna find cheese in a level it’s Ryu.
And only one like for such a cool level... I swear the Boo/Like system is flawed. If the first two-three players are little Timmy's who don't understand how to play the level, and they boo it, chances are it won't get any more plays or likes. It sucks. Good job man, hopefully this will give your level some well needed traction
I didn't get what was supposed to be done in that section either watching him play it. The fire flower lightly suggests shooting the blocks, but if you wanted to force the intended strat you needed to throw up a P wall blocking the door when the P-switch is hit and then dump the ice blocks so there's no way across. I wouldn't really call what Ryu did cheese so much as just trying to see what he's supposed to do and then jumping across the ice blocks that are there. There's very little time from first seeing it until the first P-switch is hit and you're just left with ice blocks to jump across. Still a good level :)
@@Retro6502 yes. It was the classic oversight because I knew what to do in that part of the level. I already thought of ideas to fix it right after I watched the video. I’ll be uploading a revision in the next couple days when I get some time to work on it. Merry Xmas everyone
@Eric Lee You bring up a good point, but that was a Super Expert level, and you can look at those from any of the popular creators and they don't show you basic things either. But they're popular so they get a pass because they have followers who are into hard levels. Unfair IMO. As for the boss fight in this example, yeah that one could have been more intuitive regardless.
@Eric Lee that level wasn't 1 bit unintuitive lol(and the last part would of felt like rng from spinning if wasn't cheesable)......may go take a look at Sonic 3 "Barrel of doom" from Sega..the entire game have you jumping around and dash spinning..but during the fourth stage you get accross something the game never shoved into your throat b4(aka pressing up and down without jumping)

I came down to comment specifically on that level -- I can't believe how well done it was, the harmonies and transitions worked so well. The cat paw swipes on the beat were also a nice touch. Great work!

Dude that level was genius. I cracked up at the eyes on Mario and thought it was cool how you put the blowey joeys in the lungs like it was his breath or something. and the big galoombas being pooped out lol.
That Inside Mario Level actually had a somewhat decent representation of the digestive track. Mario goes in the mouth, passed the teeth (icicles) and down the esophagus. Mario must enter enter the windpipe to get the red coins around the heart which is surrounded by the lungs (blue semi solids and blowy joeys), then he goes back down the esophagus, into the stomach where he enters a key door into the small intestines which zigzag back and forth. Then he enters the large intestines which go up, over and down around the small intestine. He then enters the rectum and is pooped out.
The beginning of the first level is so pleasing to hear, Mario's movements and the door opening were perfectly in sync with the "Hurry Up" music jingle

I've heard the "yeah" sound effect a few times before but I always thought it was someone taking a deep breath or something. It's probably the one sound effect I've heard used in levels the least, maybe because it can blend into the rest of the sound effects and level music pretty easily and you won't notice it. All the little Timmies don't put it in their trash DGR twoll levels because it's not loud and obnoxious enough.

I like how the music level used the sound effects that are normally spammy and annoying and used them like part of the song instead.
