That combination lock level is actually quite easy to “lockpick” - you just have to count the goombas in each stack, then restart, and kill just enough so that the tops are all level. Tried it just now, beat it easily. The clear rate is around 25% so I’m clearly not the first one to figure it out… also not sure how it ended up in super expert.
Probably because everyone who doesn't play lockpicking minigames in other games skips. :D

18:36 and a note to myself for later. I'm an avid lock picker and the Bank Robery level fascinated me. I beat this level after watching Ryu skip it and as any skilled lock pick I just used my senses. Like this if you want to see Ryu figure this level out on Ryu Shorts!
It’s not hard. It takes two tries. The first you need to destroy all goombas and count the amount of goombas on each column.

I thought so too, and I was curious enough to go play the level. Turns out it wasn't the pillars at all. The title of the level was Bank Robbery, and you were supposed to listen closely in order to figure out how to beat it. When you hit the correct number of times, the enemy walking above would end up on the one-ways, which produce a clicking sound continuously. Then you move to the next column and hit it one at a time, listening for the clicking to stop and start again, which told you that it was the correct number. I think the title was a clue that you were supposed to be playing it like a bank robber cracking a safe.
If you're interested, the correct password was 3-1-2-3, and once you get past you can go straight to the flag.

it isn't.. but someone posted the answer in the level's comments, which was easy to deduce from the map.. and the level description was "l'm sorry" :/

For the bank robbery: You likely could have used a life to figure out how many were on each stack, then "leveled" them in your next pass and reduced them one at a time after that. That's assuming something had to walk straight across the top and there weren't hills above... Still, it's a dumb level, but you *might* have been able to outsmart it.
i don't know exactly how it works but I'm pretty sure that the setup is not that easy

FR, it's every time. Ryu says "rip this run, for real this time guys" then he beats it two lives later. The only exceptions are when the level is like 12 midairs or terrible life choices. But I've seen him beat SO many supposedly run-ending levels, be they TAS or team shell or whatever else
"Funny HAHA" is a reference to Sling Blade. A movie I highly suggest you watch. It's fantastic!!!
I feel like I watch DGR and Ryu for completely different reasons. I watch Ryu to root for him and wanting him to beat levels. I watch DGR hoping he fails miserably and just gets relentlessly trolled.
But that's just because Ryu is most entertaining to me when he is cheesing levels or brute forcing his way thru puzzles. DGR is most entertaining when he is getting frustrated from dying over and over, getting trolled, or popping off after beating a level or accidentally starting over or something.
Both great channels and both entertaining, just for different reasons to me.

I actually got the second level there in an endless run, too, but it was only in Expert at the time. Guessing the algorithm moves it to Super Expert if enough people lose tons of lives or skip it. Very neat coincidence though!
