I have a Ragdoll named Molle. He is a nice cat in his own right. But what id like to tell all thinking of getting a Ragdoll.. . Accept their personality No matter if they match the stereotype or not. Dont be disappointed of theyre not found of kisses and hugs or become floppy when you carry them. Just love them no matter
I can’t adopt one sadly, I had a wild cat once, we didn’t know he was a wild cat, he didnt act like one either. He was quite social too, i miss him, barely one year old and he got run over, at least we gave him a very happy life. That’s what you are obligated to do when you adopt pets!
@ThePurringJournal Thank You for mentioning bladder stones.... Although these are not just an issue for Ragdoll cats.... Any cat can suffer with these, and urgent treatment from a vet is important... A cat can die if not treated within 48 hours... I had a domestic short-hair cat that regularly suffered and at age 7 the insurance company refused to insure him anymore, due to him having need 3 flushes of his bladder.... Thankfully he lived until age 12, despite needing more flushes of his bladder....xx
I have a part ragdoll cat (25% ish) and she matches many of these qualities 😅❤ my dad calls her Puppy Cat haha cuz she really does follow along loyally and play like a puppy!
We only get ragdolls now. ❤ They're truly amazing. Some of your information isn't correct, though. Specifically, they're very talkative, typically shy/nervous (to new newcomers at least) and should not weigh over 16-17lbs (as vets reccomend).

I have a bluepoint Ragdoll. She is sweet.
Interesting but rare in the shelters to find 😊
True, purebreds in general are hard to find in shelters. But it's not impossible! There are also rescues that specifically focus on certain breeds.
