    Yup, so this very cool Striggore model from Wicked Foundations got crudded up to become my Deamon Prince of Nurgle in my Warhammer 40k army!
    They've got a whole bunch of very cool, and very weird, plastic miniatures you can get and use in whatever game you want! Check out the project here and jump in on a late pledge: www.gameontabletop.com/cf277/...

    I love how you inspire me to look at other models and think "How can I make this one fit into my ____" Some of the GW minis are just so complex that Im a bit turned off on the ones I want for my team. But I could look at other minis and think how to make them fit.

    In the world of scale modeling, we call this "customizing" or even "kit bashing"... it's when you take a model kit and modify it to fit your needs... if I was the manufacturer, this would make me happy! Turned out super sick!

      We are DELIGHTED!

    • @clonetf141
      @clonetf141 3 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      In warhammer we call this converting, kit bashing is using basic kits and combining them. Converting is adding cutting and slicing all kind of things and turning it into a mini.
      Ive seen scale modeling and id say this is definetly diffrent from one another

    • @DaedricFaZe
      @DaedricFaZe 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is actually called transforming. Technically he only used one kit and and just added to it. Kit bashing implies you use to kits and bash them.

    I think the texture has vastly improved the model (that was already really good from the get go). It really fits the overall stlye.
    The texture gives it the impression of dried out and crackling skin. Very fitting for a nurgle army. And giving a great contrast to the wet drips/intestines.

    It may not have been what they intended for the model but damn, I don't think anyone could be mad with how it's turned out!
    Customisation is one of the best things in this hobby in my mind, you've done a great job!

    super cool conversion, loved the process too. I think you didn't ruin it at all, it's your version of the skulpt and that's the great thing about modeling!

    While I'm not a big fan if the paint job (I loooove silly amounts of fiddly detail work), the model itself turned out super cool as a Nurgle unit! Well done man!

    For drips, get some fishing line or other thin wire and apply the blood (resin) to that. You'll end up with a thin stream and some larger droplets.

    it turned out really well, it gives me the idea of a nurgle demon haunting a swamp, or a contaminated forest.
    Also great for Age of Sigmar

    Looks great, love to see some pics of your other nurgle stuff, still very much usable as a d and d beast

    He rocks! You did him justice.
    You also have me seriously looking into supporting this project.

    he looked awesome loved end result he just needed a few nurglings either playing in his body cavity or around his feet or sat on his shoulder/horns watching the battle unfold below his masters stride ^^ father nurgle would be proud 👍

    Absolutely not ruined. He needs more highlighting and shading, but it looks great! I really liked how the added texture turned out.
