once again, it's a very good video that continues to inspire me, and this kind of video helps me to better understand the process of creating a protagonist. Thank you
This was a very interesting breakdown. Character colour choices being partially based on the background seems very obvious in retrospect but it was something I hadn't considered.
Excellent video! You have a great narrator voice that kept me interested for the entire video! Your game looks great and extremely polished. Wishing the best for your team and the game!
The game looks amazing! You guys managed to give this project such an unique style. I watch a lot of devlogs and many of the games I see are struggling to find a style, they just blend with many others, there is nothing special about them ( visually speaking ). Even the 2D here is so good, so unique. Everything is very inspiring! Congrats and I can't wait to play this game!
Id love to hear more about the progress and though process of her design, and how it evolved to the final look. that image at 0:54 has an entire story to tell.
I've never really seen chronic pain represented in a video game before, so it was another pleasant surprising when playing the demo! I've struggled with it a lot, and it felt weirdly nice playing as someone going through the same thing. Love the progress videos!!
Rae from O. and Co. here 👋🏻 Thanks for your comment! I’m sorry you deal with pain too, it really sucks 😔 I hope that aspects of TetherGeist will help you feel seen and empowered 💪🏻
Thanks for sharing your though and decisions. Also for making a so beautiful game under Game Maker. I'll share this video to my Concept Artist to inspire her and give her confidence. We are working on a much smaller retro arcade game with Game Maker, and seeing games with this engine inspires a lot. Thanks!
@@OandCoGames Thanks! We are still prototyping and conceptualizing. The networks, media, and Steam Page are in progress, and we are striking for a 1 level vertical slice first. The main issue is that my time is limited because I work for Ragnarok Servers, and in a very small Indie developer studio, so there's little time and money left per month for my own game and team, so we are moving slowly, but as soon as I have everything ready, I will gladly share it with you.
Loved every second, it's always fascinating to hear about the design process of characters and the justification behind them!
Nice try Jordan, you almost convinced me that it's not just you working on the game ;]
I loved the part about "giving Mae a little piece of myself"
lol my Rae impression is pretty good huh

I definitely love the character and art decisions towards Mae’s design. The cute/spunkiness fits her well.
The bun being a cultural simbol is a master move

Thanks so much! (I’m Rae, the narrator in the video) I appreciate your kind words! 💕

I am in absolute awe of the production quality of not just Tethergeist, but your dev logs!
You always put so much care into every part of this game and it really shows
Amazing devlog. Cool to see the background behind the choices made. Everything is on purpose!
Game looking beautiful and full of character.
it's really awesome seeing the process of developing the characters, really poised to see more like this
5:49 Glad to see another fan of their music!

the design is beautiful
Excellent devlog video. I'm glad to have found another studio that encourages my creativity to keep making games
I love the art in hyper light drifter as well. Cool to see you are using it as an influence!

When you say higher aspect ratio 2:38, did you mean resolution?
Yeah, 640x360 pixels
