Look forward to more info, especially on valve gap and how to do (I do not have shim set, but will receive my cylinder head back next week and plan for cam install/valve lash shortly after (....I need new intake cam and followers)) Please advise and keep posting. gloves... wear gloves man somes of those lubs are nasty stuff to skin and your health.. did you buy new head studs ? since you have your hands in it :D I am not sure about the 2zz, but some torque specs are "1 time only" wich means the stud is no longer reusable after proper torque
It seems not serious at all when the job requires skill and focus. It is the nature of the beast. This beast being the engine. Extreme precision if u want it to work. Or pay someone $$$$... ( 1k and up ) to do it for u. Clearly you lads just here trying get attention, looking for self insterest gains i.e. views. You lads don't seem to care enough to help the community.

LSmiata new shims aren't really necessary. Unless your engine was in bad condition being abused and raced all the time.

Edmundo Cunha That’s why we got the head bolts with nuts on top, we can use it five times before we have to replace the studs
ARP head studs and ARP rod bolts. and you are right we should use gloves... we are too lazy sometimes lol. thanks for commenting!
