Thank you!!! I've been needing this! Always ended up doing other work arounds like CamBam or CAD which is more cumbersome for design work! Cheers!

Why is it sometimes when I try and union things some of it disappears? This is in normal SVG. Thanks

So for those of us into cnc machines we could use some way to edit DXF files but keep them as DXF for use with CAM software. Finding dimensions of objects like circles so they can be edited would be great. How about a short video on that? Or is there a reason to maintain DXF? Can SVG be used just as easily with CAM software?

You can import dxf files into Inkscape but they do normally require some fixing of broken paths once imported. Then you can save them as svg for future editing, and save a dxf file for cutting. If you use Sheetcam you can actually import the svg files directly to Sheetcam, but most other CAM software doesn't support svg files. Dxf files are the most widely supported file type, but often have issues because there is no standard format. I always save design work as svg and dxf. svg for future editing and dxf for cutting. There is a function in Inkscape to find the area of an object, I think I made a video on it but I could probably go more in depth with a new one.

Super video Big Dog. In illustrator there is a way to convert tiny lines to a curve using add anchor points -> simplify. Is there a function like this in Inkscape? I have found the simplify but I can’t find the add anchor points. Or is this what this video does? Thank you!
