The hunter's backpack still works in your inventory so it's good to have for more mutant parts while still having the better backpacks for carry weight.
Always keep a hunter backpack in your inventory. It's just 1kg and it provides it's bonus even if it's not equipped. (There's a setting to turn this off, but by default it's on)
Hunters bag is often slept on but the difference between "this body has nothing useful" and getting both hands, both feet and a mask from a snark is a steep loss. And ballistic plates are slept on too.
ballistic plates are pieces of shit now, they are making GAMMA worse, try to attach 2 or 3 ballistic plates to a suit with enough empty slots and see what happens...
Puncture DOES NOT work in current gamma build (I think Anomaly as a whole but not sure). Mutants attack will do full damage regardless of any armor you wear. So if you're wondering why your Nosorog stopped a Monolith 50cal but you die from 2 dog bites, that's why.
and i was so angry a stupid pseudodog killed me in an exo with 2 or 3 bites (stupid game decided all of a sudden to spawn at least 8 pseudodogs right in my face so the only one who was not shot down bit me while reloading and killed me really fast, didn't had time to finish reloading a M4 tactical, which loads relatively fast)
The video is a bit misleading on the different resistant-types. Br-Class for example is the most important stat that is unable to be raised by artifacts, and it basically tries to counter the AP-Value on your ammo. Meaning an AP round with AP(60) can only be stopped by an armor that has the BR-class rating 60 or above. Which drastically shifts which armor you want to take if bullets are often a thing you have to deal with. And since BR-class cannot be raised by artifacts, it makes the armor-plates you can craft quite strong, as the highest Plate gives you an additional +6 BR class on the entire body. Ballistic resistance just reduces the damage overall, but if you fight someone with big AP-Ammo while being on 100% Ballistic resistance, you'll still go down in 2-3 shots even if the weapon does not deal huge damage, because it actually penetrated your armor and caused massive damage. One thing I have yet to figure out and that I was hoping to figure out in this video is: What Ballistic resistance does specifically. Cause it's a bit up to speculation and currently I think, that it's just a straight up reduction in the damage you take and that it mostly works if the bullet did not penetrate your armor and got into your body. Aka "The bullet smacked you really hard, cause it did not go through but the kinetic energy gave you a harsh smack regardless.. or broke a rip or something.) And I have read on a forum that, 'Impact Resistance' actually counters the 'did not penetrate but the kinetic force smacked your real hard' damage. If that is the case, then that raises more questions about Ballistic Resistance, but it's possible that impact has nothing to do with that. Though it would make sense if Impact-resistance would actually reduce the amount of damage you take from getting shot, but not penetrated, which basically just results in a harsh-impact against your armor. Big wall of text, but it's hard to explain and it seems everything every knows is just speculation and different information's that make sense when reading them, but if tested turn out to be false.
you just singehandedly saved my hard lock of actually fighting higher tiered enemies. I've been focusing more on BR rather than BRclass and Ive had to cheese almost every monolith fight. That and I kept wearing a sh*t gas mask that would get me insta killed almost every fight as well.
@@pira707 I'm glad my comment was able to help out! Yeah, it can be a big difference between getting hit and going "I'M DYING.. I'MY DYING.." Or getting hit and saying "ow..". What BR-Class armor were you rocking with that fancy-gasmask of yours? haha. The same thing also (Kind of) applies to Enemies. Once you recognize armors, you can tell what kind of ammo should roughly be used to deal with it. Exoskeletons are an easy call, and big helmets will be the second-easy call. But usually, the more bulky the helmet/armor looks, the more Penetration power you need. If you can't match that? You want to pick your hardest hitting + fastest firing gun and "Smack" them so often with your bullets till it does something. Which is why I usually always try to skip out on MP's, cause they don't do the 'I cannot pen but I'll smack him to death' very good at all. But the reason why I said (Kind of), is that I still find that headshotting some monolith who are clearly wearing a plastic-gasmask on their head.. even they sometimes take 2 shots from a dragunov with normal ammo, even though it should instantly take them out.
The exos got 3 type, proto version is lighter and increase alot of carry weight, the exo have better protection but also heavier a bit.
