      @Mamie Deblasio Oh shut up you and Alverto are both here together you're not fooling anyone with your stupidly timed comment. He posts 6 hours ago to promote a scam you reply instantly confirming so far its great so what you took time out in the middle of the process to comment why didn't you finish it up and then confirm it's working or you know what better still here's my Instagram handle "psyche_boggling" reply commenting my password and prove yourselves. You both disgust me.

    Superb review, thanks, and it looks fantastic in 6k. I've long been pondering which FF lens route to go for a Z Cam E2 F6, and am torn between these and the Vespids. I prefer the Vespid's bokeh and lower weight for gimbal work, plus the wider range of lenses currently available, but am still very tempted by the Irixs. It would be great it they would publish their future plans for these lenses so we know whether we're buying into a potential set... or not.

    I use a tiffen 1/2 pearlescent and it really gives that nice soft halation and skin softening. I researched a lot and learned that pro mists and glimmer glass have really ugly patterns in large bokeh balls when you’re shooting wide open, almost like you have a dirty sensor. The pearlescent doesn’t. Something to consider 😊. It’s not a big deal at all if there isn’t significant bokeh but when there is I feel it looks ugly

      Oh yeah! Made 2 other videos of the 15mm cine and 150mm macro cine. I am in love with the lenses and am convinced for the price there’s nothing that compares on the current market if you’re wanting to shoot films. Theres not too much character to the lenses in terms of a “unique” look. I tell people it has a sharp cinematic look. Which means it’s not the ugly digital cheap look with bad highlight roll off but just a very pleasing ultra sharp with low focus breathing look *chefs kiss*. For a film the only thing to know is all 3 have very different wide open apertures. The 15mm and 45mm get sharp edge to edge around T4-5.6. Hope that helps

    Nice video. I got 15 MFT and getting 45 mm EF. Two heads up IRIX USA has certain discounts. For example, as a verified teacher I got 15% discount recently on the 45 mm. Then two: they will have two new focal lengths coming out they said [March 2021]. "We are currently working on two more focal lengths which will be released in the next months". Then more later, they also mentioned trying to offer a set. I personnel have no interest in the 11mm or 150mm. Just sharing. Cool video, again. thanks

      I’d definitely rather have a sharper lens to start with because you can always soften it. Sometimes I’ll use a pro-mist or DreamFX filter, or sometimes I’ll use tricks in resolve to soften faces, chromatic effects or film emulators if I’m really trying to create a unique look. • @staLkerhu
      @staLkerhu 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, definietly funny, because 24mm is one really widely used focal length in Hollywood. It appears in the budget Samyang (Rokinon) DS and XEEN lineup, and Canon produces 24mm cinema lenses too. One possible answer is they don't have a 24mm photography lens they can copy, and maybe they didn't want to develop a completely new lens (yet). Most if not all Samyang (Rokinon) DS lens has a photography lens equivalent using f stops and a smooth surface on the focus and aperture ring (probably no more difference).

      Yeah! Haven’t seen really any so far! Watched a review of the 11mm Cine and they mentioned there’s quite a bit of CA on that lens but could have been a bad review unit. The 15, 45 and 150 Cine I haven’t seen any issues with it! Thanks for bringing it up!

    Sir I want to ask you , is sigma 18-35 best lens for bmpcc6k or Rokinon Cine Ds or any other lens you can suggest. I am beginner so my budget is also $1200 for lenses . My concept is same like you how to use full potential a of the camera. Please help me out I am beginner with a lot of confusion.

      Just depends what you want! Obviously this lens I recommend over the Rokinon if you have the budget. The only reason I’d go for the sigma is if you want auto focus and zoom capabilities. If you want a true Cine lens I’d get the Irix

      @@initialfocus budget is also limiting me i have a total of $7000 to buy and fully rig the camera, but I have seen all the reviews available on TH-cam at least about rokinon And sigma , and sigma is turning out to be better in sharpness , chromatic abbreviation, lens breathing, colour , overall image quality , yeah if would have the budget I would have definitely go for the irix. Thank you so much for w reply means a lot , and please make videos about lenses as there is not that much information available.

    How does Irix compare to Xeen

    • @staLkerhu
      @staLkerhu 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The funny thing is XEEN isn't much sharper than the budget Samyang DS cine line (I watched a comparsion with two 24mm, or two 85mm lenses), so I bet the Irix can be sharper than both of them ( I assume).

    any reason the lens support is at the top?

    • @initialfocus
      @initialfocus  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have mounting holes on the bottom or top so you can place it on either side if you want! For me it gets in the way on the bottom with other accessories so I like it on top to mount stuff if need be

    Wil this lens work with blackmagic pocket camera 4k?

    • @initialfocus
      @initialfocus  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you buy the MFT version or like me I just use a speed booster on the pocket 4K to adapt from EF to MFT.

    Looks great but I thought highlight roll off is a function of the camera sensor and gamma curve

    • @initialfocus
      @initialfocus  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a combo of everything. Absolutely sensor matters when it comes to highlight control and quality but if you throw a terrible lens on an expensive camera it can make the image look way worse than an amazing lens on a decent camera.
