  • Here is a quick demo of the visually and sonically stunning Kyocera A-910 integrated amplifier. I finished a very comprehensive restoration of this piece a little less than a year ago, and I figured it was time to share a video of it in action before selling. This is one of Kyocera's / Cybernet's statement pieces from the mid to late 80's, and it exudes quality from top to bottom. The gunmetal finish is recherché - not something that was found too often on audio equipment, especially in the sea of silver and black faceplates. In person, it has a bronze hue which makes it even better looking. The controls are silky smooth, and have an affirmative heft and positive engagement to them that is incredibly satisfying. The sound signature of the A-910 is on the brighter side of neutral, but still incredibly true to source. Bass output is incredible, and this amplifier's headroom and dynamic swing capability rivals and even beats out many dedicated power amplifiers I have had through my hands. Speakers in this video are the Sequerra Metronome Futuresonic system which includes T9 dipole ribbon tweeters, Metronome 7 satellite speakers, and 8W modular subwoofers.
The restoration of this piece, and information about the Kyocera A-910 in general can be found here:

A beautiful amp that was deserving of the top quality work that was done to it. Awesome work as always, Connor! Hope the new owner enjoys it everyday.

A rare vintage amp. They still command a high sale price online. Exceptional build quality.

Thanks,I had no idea that Kyocera made stereo gear; I've only associated them with optical and ceramics products.

Dude, this is crazy, it’s like we’re working on the same gear around the same time. I have a client that has a lot of REALLY nice gear. He brought me his A-910 with one channel of all shorted outputs, one of the MT-200 devices had even exploded. Got the full treatment, he wanted the best of the best for it. Man it sounds nice. Not the most fun to work on. And yeah it runs hot! Also weird you need to bias within the first 70-120 seconds of being on. Odd duck.

Very nice-looking statement piece of HiFi equipment. Did you personally do the restoration? Where is it for sale, and what is the asking price?

I agree! Yes, I completed the restoration myself about a year ago. It is currently pending sale...
