What about if a car battery part no. is 429NF? It's for a 1959 classic car so trying to understand. It's a DEKA 12V battery part no. 429NF so trying to find a battery from another brand that is like the DEKA 12V part no. 429NF. Any help would be appreciated!
If I give you the numbers etc, will, can you tell me how old it is? I'm not sure if I have all the right numbers because there are so much other mechanics covering half the battery -too much to remove.
I am not sure if a sticker would have the Date of Manufacture Code. What I've always seen was the letters and numbers that are like "Melted" in the plastic case of the battery.
The production number is not that there is another number probably the ingraved number that is the production number. The sticker paper with month and year is when the battery has been installed by the garagiste.
Mine is 14 years old. I have had to change the acid and clean out the sediments twice. I maintained it last in January. It should be set for the next five to seven years before the next maintenence. Do not believe when a battery says it is maintenence free. All lead acid batteries need maintenemce. You will only get five to seven years out of a lead acid battery if you do not maintain it by cleaning out the sediment and changing the acid. I have had lead acid batteries about fifteen years, before they are no longer able to be maintained. Do not listen to the no maintenence lie. Unless you only want your battery for five to seven years, do not maintain it when it stops taking charge.
@@seanofto I have no way to take a video. I own no video equipment, save for a vintage, full VHS, camcorder that used to be my father's. It is just a keepsake. I have a still picture, digital camera. That will not help me to make a video. I just never had a reason to own any sort of video recording device.
What kind of video is this...You show a corroded battery and then don't even show where the info is located. What was the point in showing that battery.
Do not you think you should had prepared yourself before producing this video, e.g. remove the corrosion and cover? Also, in future go to the point, do not make the video unnecessarily long.
May win an award for most irritating greeting when saying hello.
after 'what's up guys' or what's going on?'
Take the battery out and actually SHOW IT !!!
This video could have been ten seconds long 😳
If you buy a video camera, it is okay to use it. I have no video camera at all. Needless to say, I can never make a video.
Agree! I almost fell asleep with the rambling.😴😴😴😴😴😴😴

My battery has the stamped / embosed numbers, which read: KC3C26. What do you think, is that March 2013, going by the 3C?
the best explanation
Great video, thanks!
My battery is 4/15 and it's almost the year 2023. My husband and I are surprised that the battery lasted this long. Going to have to replace it now.
