Happy Sunday! We appreciate Bobby Wayne Scruggs and Robert Barnard taking the time to walk through all of these tips and information on the new V Series Suspension System with us. And thank you to Steve Jeanneret for sharing information on the Freightliner Chassis Owners Club as well. I had asked a question on another thread about def related problems and was suuprised to get a instant reply . And a link to this video. Thank you very much . The video was very informative . It may have swayed us away from diesel though . We wanted used and fear all the different maintenece may never have been done . Gas is much simpler and i can do it all myself . You might have saved us from going a direction that may not be right for us . Thanks so much . But we will be on the road none the less and hope to see you someday . 😊
Great video! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I am going back and forth with researching Spartan and Freightliner chassis. Both seem great and offer a lot of the same features. The ONE feature that I am sold with on a Spartan chassis - they have a side service center bay (fuel filter, air dryer filter and oil filter) that is super easy to access if you have a rear mounted radiator. This video shows where the air dryer filter is...looks absolutely horrible to change as a DIY'er. I wish Freightliner would follow suit and offer a side service center bay on their rear mounted radiator units. Thank you again for the video - safe travels.
We love Robert. We had a NewAire and had a great experience with Freightliner. We now have a MountainAire and we do not have a great experience with Spartan. Miss our Freightliner.
Fantastic information one question I have is: how much weight can you tow with your 450 HP New Aire? I’m considering getting one I would like to tow a Tahoe
Wondering if you have a list of the Frieghtliner Survival kit (parts you should have just in case ) maybe a link to the things to buy? 2022 Frieghtliner Custom Chassis
It was a good video, but I have a 2005 MH on Freightliner chassis with a Caterpillar engine that I just purchased - my first one. The 24/7 app seems to be made for those with fairly new chassis. I was not able to add my rig as it is too old.
I am intermittently getting a P2637 Fault Amber Gear with a ! mark in center. I believe it has to do with communication from the ECU and the TCU (or module) Where are these contol units located engine and transmission
When are your next rallies in Missouri ? I’m west of St Louis but can easily do Sedalia. Are there any scheduled for central or eastern Missouri? I’m RVing on a Freightliner XCS chassis
Thanks Tom, this was a very informative show- especially if you have a Freightliner chassis as we do . This opens up a whole world of technical support for us when we travel now! Thanks to you and Stacy!
Our Newmar is a 2003 Dutch Star on a Freightliner xc chassis. Are there any old videos like this still around that would be pertinent to our coach. Thanks😊
I'll never understand why Freightliner puts the air dyer cartridge is an almost inaccessible place. I just had mine replaced and the cost was $561 due to 2.5 hours of labor to get the old one out and new one in. It's no wonder they are overlooked as they are hidden and very hard to get to.
YOU GOT ROBBED. I change mine myself it takes about 30 minutes and most of that time is cleaning the base, prior to installing the new filter cartridge.
my question is why in God's name do they still make a rear radiator model. Since it's all about convenience and they still put the radiator in the way for maintenance

Perfect timing Tom. I'm picking up my Tiffin RED on a Freightliner this Friday.
Great information, thank you! Jayman...
You’re welcome ☺️
Great video. Was very helpful to me even though I have a Tiffin with a powerglide chassis. Well done.
You’re welcome ☺️
Fanstastic video, thanks.
Thanks!
I need to study this video and take some notes
💯
Great information and efforts in presenting this information 😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks ☺️
Very good video! Thanks!
Thanks ☺️
Best advertisement for a side rad coach...
Never thought of it that way! 🧐
Hose clamps are very important. Cost me $2000 plus for a clamp that failed on the radiator reservoir. Middle of Iowa no service centers anywhere.
Wow, sorry to hear that but thanks for sharing this so maybe it will help someone else!
Thanks! Would like to see more Freightliner Oasis dealers in the Northeast (e.g. tri-state PA, NJ, NY).
I got a 6.7L Cummins in my rv do u got a video on how to change fuel filter and water separator
Do you need to prime the fuel system manually after replacing the fuel filters? I have a ‘23 XCS 340 chassis (Fleetwood Pace Arrow 36U).
After the holidays we will ask Freightliner! Thanks
Yes it helps if you replace your filter full of fuel. Then pump the rubber plunger on the head above the filter several times.
Fantastic information one question I have is: how much weight can you tow with your 450 HP New Aire? I’m considering getting one I would like to tow a Tahoe
We don’t have the 450 we have the last 33’ New Aire with a 360 and it is different I believe.

Sorry to hear that, we will check with Freightliner as soon as we get a chance to ask them about that!
Enjoyed the video, is there a "V" ride upgrade for older chassis e.g. 2001 Tiffin?
I don’t think so, it’s only on new chassis!
I am intermittently getting a P2637 Fault Amber Gear with a ! mark in center. I believe it has to do with communication from the ECU and the TCU (or module)
Where are these contol units located engine and transmission

When are your next rallies in Missouri ?
I’m west of St Louis but can easily do Sedalia.
Are there any scheduled for central or eastern Missouri?
I’m RVing on a Freightliner XCS chassis
You might check their website!
Great great video, just a quick question how often do you change the DEF fluid filter?
Robert from Freightliner says the DEF filter is changed every 200,000 miles!
Store your fuel properly by adding a product like Biobor JF to prevent algae growth.
Thanks for the tip!
Is there a drain at teh bottom of the DEF tank to drain it out and fill with fresh DEF?

Not that we know of, sorry!
I want to buy a Coachman Entourage. Is there a difference in the a GM Freightliner class C chassis
I don’t think Freightliner makes a gas Class C chassis. 😔
What was the name of the 24/7 app. Is it available to everyone with FCC.
I'll never understand why Freightliner puts the air dyer cartridge is an almost inaccessible place. I just had mine replaced and the cost was $561 due to 2.5 hours of labor to get the old one out and new one in. It's no wonder they are overlooked as they are hidden and very hard to get to.
We will pass that comment along but that might be Cummins not Freightliner since it is part of the engine! 🤷♂️
YOU GOT ROBBED. I change mine myself it takes about 30 minutes and most of that time is cleaning the base, prior to installing the new filter cartridge.
Get web sight w/ ph . No. Please
1-800-FTL-HELP is the number for Freightliner
my question is why in God's name do they still make a rear radiator model. Since it's all about convenience and they still put the radiator in the way for maintenance
It is dictated by the manufacturers and the side radiator chassis cost more. It’s an economical decision by the manufacturers.
a side radiator is cheaper to maintain and a heck of a lot easier to work on. case in point is the fan belt replacement@@rvamericayall
