The 60s wrap top has no closure. It's one piece with 3 armholes, put your arms into two of them and wrap the rest around you and put the third on. You end up with an overlap from about "princess line" on front to the same point on the back. Mom had one and I was fascinated by it as a kid, it was just so odd. It felt more secure when the top overlap landed on the front, just because you don't swing your arm and shoulder to reach behind you as often as you stretch out to grab something across your body.
Wow what an enormous collection ! Thankyou so much for your thorough review and critique - I especially like following your thought issues and reflection on fit . Even though I’ve been sewing for 40 years I sometimes look at garments and think ‘ umm’ but without being to articulate why …you are educating me ❤️
Another great review. Thank you for pointing out possible issues with low armholes and “duck bills.” Thanks for suggesting stretch percentages for the online pattern info!
Love ❤️ love love the tweed dress! I can't get on board with the tie front shirt. Love the puff sleeves but the ties? As you said, it reminds me of hospital gown ties. Maybe if the ties/shirt were in a more drapey fabric.
Looks like the wrap dress is double- layered where the wrap panel ends, it goes around and then half-way around again so no need for buttons or other closures, a jumper is a sleeveless dress you can wear on top of a sweater or a shirt. (At least in America in the 60's, but it's a sweater in the UK. ) I wore a lot of jumpers in the 60's! Some of the patterns are cute but nothing I would wear.
View C of 8556 to me looks more like something I might wear as a dressy loungewear item-something I could envisioned Lucille Ball wearing!! I do love the second image, and I do love the waistline detail!! Love 8552!! I agree about the upper pockets! I do wish 8551 came in more sizes! 8553 is cute, as is 8566! WOW-8563-I agree, I would wear those out! So cute!! Thank you! Joann's is closing??
It is nice that they are matching plaids and checks. It drives me nuts when pattern companies don’t match them! And Nordstrom leggings and pj pants really should match on side seams.
Happy new year! I gotta say im so confused why they made the same view every time they made multiple samples of one pattern. Also according to their size chart "Womens patterns are made for a C cup with 1" (2.5cm) difference between bust and high bust measurement" 😒
The tie front blouse looks like a hospital gown. 😢 The wrap dress pattern that did not show how to fasten it. I would use snaps and some hooks any eyes.
All I want to find is basic tops that someone who isn't tall & skinny can be comfortable in and look good in. I also want pants of the same. I am not going to work or out on the town, I am just living my life at 67 soon to be 68. So, why the heck is it so hard to find? I do not like frumpy, layers of ruffles, just straight lines with a give for a slightly pudge of a stomach and not slim thighs! Lord Please someone show me a path!
I can understand where you're coming from but just like with everything in life, some patterns aren't everyone's cup of tea; and her criticism comes from a place of experience on how things *should* fit a body, if you don't like how she talks about some of them don't watch her content? I love how she talks about them because it tells me if I should make something I like or not and what, if any issues I may have while making it so I can be prepared to adjust where necessary
That’s the whole point of this video: review and comment on the newly released patterns. She covers the good and bad points. That’s why people watch these videos.
Very interesting spring collection. Great job as always.

@@tephralynn my mom had one made of double knit with polyester binding.
Great to have a new vlog from you.
On 8570, from the 1970s, a jumper refers to a sleeveless dress that can be worn over a top, blouse, or turtleneck.
Hello, thank you for the YT. Have a blessed week ❤
Suppressed fit = slim fit (if I’m remembering correctly) butcher rayon is rayon spun and woven to look like linen.

Thank you for a great review. Most of these I wouldn't buy, I'm 71. They are still for the most part cute.
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS COLLECTION ... DARLING ❤!❤!❤!
So fun🎉
Thank you! ❤
A jumper is worn with a shirt or top under it. It used to be popular to wear a turtle neck under a jumper.
I think 8552 would be fantastic in a corduroy with some stretch maybe.
I like the first dress, especially in red. ❤ However the peach one is cute too but i would never wear it anywhere. So much fabric!
I'm 66yrs and I Would Buy This Collection ... for me And Daughter-in-law And Granddaughter 🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉

1:24:21 Pintucked full length gown is very Lawrence Welk Show to me.

Sweetie, are you sure its the 2024 Spring collection and not the 2025 Spring collection? just asking

I do not like the pattern, the nell dress by Tillie and buttons is a lot nicer
Has the modesty panel.
Miss negativity again, maybe you should design a pattern and get criticism
