Congratulations on the biology degree!! Funny story, a friend of mine in high school majored in that to become a doctor. He bought How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way to better do anatomy drawings, and that’s how he started making art. :)

Insightful and Deff achievable. Sacrifice is the secret sauce and makes sense, research is the second most important. Consistency is the main thing and is the hardest thanks for all the info! Would you ever critique artists page and give tips and insight? Of course I mean me but also to help out other artists that may be missing something simple.

I'm a traditional artist that started my own comics over 20 years ago, but never released anything. Now that I've transitioned into digital art, I'm working on a new manga series that I want published. I've researched many other artists and their styles so I can have a better understanding of their styles, inking techniques, etc., in hopes of bettering my own art. I fully believe everyone should study other artists for the same reason, to better their own art and projects they're passionate about. As for TH-cam artists, I watch you, Ross Draws, Whyt Manga, NadiaAxel, Chris Brunet, Monitor Comics, Mark Crilley, and Chris Burns. You are all amazing with what you do, and I thank you for what you give us.

I’ve been watching your videos as of late. I though I was too late to finally become a proper digital artist. (I follow sam draws for his coloring style) Your videos has been really helping me stay on that grind. I have been improving significantly at a slow pace but a short time. I cannot stress how glad I am to see these tips.

you dont have to necessarily give it up. its all about knowing what you want to achieve and making the nessary sacrifices to achieve it. for me, gaming was what i had to sacrifice. if you need to game, theres nothing wrong with it, by all means play games if they bring you joy! but still, i applaud your courage

i one hundred percent agree! i dunno about shonen jump but i know for a fact marvel, dc, and animation sudios find people who have an impressive social media account and can reach out to them

It's not just Ross either. Take Raid: Shadow Legends, excellent example of how good marketing without passion can bring success. Heck, remember the fidget spinners? =\ All in all, excellent video. You are QUICKLY turning into my favorite TH-cam artist.
