@@RpgLoremaster This evening we play returning from the sewers with the 3 legged goblin pelvis and I watched your video a second time because there lies a pretty difficult game ahead. I did this adventure once two decades ago and I felt a bit overwhelmed by managing the whole city. This time I surely will do better thanks to your summary! So thanks again for the great work!!!
@@RpgLoremaster Oh yeah, we had a good game last night. I felt on top of the book with your valuable summary. In fact I was even able to improvise due to good knowledge of the city. This time the adventure flows very smoothly. I let the which hunter Alprecht Kassel (the guy that wants to know about Dr. Malthusius' freak show) help the players a bit after they told him about the pink horror in the sewers. But he was soon found dead - murdered by Gideon. But my players are on the right track and directly got a hang of Steinhägers office being the house connected to the underground temple.
Superb! When i finish the videos that I am working on now i will return to the rest of the series down the line! hopefully before you catch up with me!
I have a player who was a dock worker who had a history with josef and the brebeli. he also wrote in his backstory what he would help facilitate trade of exotic animals for the fish dock gang so i had the transport the 3 legged goblin to the fest. never seen a man run so willingly into the sewers XD
I played this campaign with a group but modified it for 5e dnd. My players found the temple but never went in so the demon never appeared. They then kidnapped a member of ordo septenarius and brought him to the temple to convince him that the ordo was dabbling in dark magic. A giant spider then ambushed the party and instead of fighting the spider they decided to run into the temple and lure the spider on top of the circle. The demon spawned and fought the spider with the party finishing off the demon. After that the person they kidnapped spilled the beans and became their agent and fulfilled the role of Magirius. I never planned it to happen that way but I was so glad that it did.
Very nice walkthrough. My party are currently in Bogenhafen, and have actually had an encounter with Gideon, though not in the context of Shadows of Bogenhafen, even though they have been warned that a dark shadow does indeed hang over the town.
People may not know this but years ago The Enemy Within was rewritten and made available online for free. TEW is great until power behind the throne but then the last episodes fail miserably. The updated version solved all the problems and made the campaign work from start to finish
