    Hi help me understand which sand block goes first 60grit followed by 120 grit? Or vice versa? I feel stupid asking this🙈 great video tho🥰🥰

    • @WizeOwlCandles
      @WizeOwlCandles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! No worries. I usually start with 60 then 120. 120 is finer so it isn't as harsh of a sanding bloxk

    Very informative video . Just one question .. can we use white concrete instead of the regular one ?

    • @WizeOwlCandles
      @WizeOwlCandles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can definitely test it out. I know some people use white Portland cement but I believe you need to mix sand with it. Hope that helps!:)

    Could I use white acrylic paint instead of the titanium dioxide in white?

    • @WizeOwlCandles
      @WizeOwlCandles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! It's just a bit harder in my opinion. The white paint soaks up into the concrete more

    Can you mix titanium dioxide with color and concrete to make a lighter color?

    what differences did you notice between regular tap and bottled water? very curious

    • @WizeOwlCandles
      @WizeOwlCandles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The bottled water in my opinion didn't leave any extra lines and the concrete mix seemed to dry smoother :)

    Can you tell me how much cementall to use. I try it with the same mold from the video and i did not have enough. Also I use two cups but while I was preparing one the other was already drying inside the cup. Any suggestions thanks

    • @WizeOwlCandles
      @WizeOwlCandles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This can be tricky doing three colors at once. I dont have an exact measurement as I usually eyeball it with the cups. I would say if you are using solo cups fill each one half way. Then have all your supplies ready to go so you can quickly add water and paint and stir. I hope this helps!

    I bought this oval mold but can’t for the life of me remove the liner from the plastic shell after I pour the Cement-All and it sets. I smashed the first one with a hammer in order to remove it and then sprinkled baby powder between the liner and plastic shell for my second attempt but still could not remove it after the Cement-All had set. I ended up having to break the second one as well in order to remove the two pieces. Is there a secret? I’m so frustrated. Never had a problem like this before. Any ideas?

    • @WizeOwlCandles
      @WizeOwlCandles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Thank you for watching, for this mold if you hold the plastic part and wiggle it off kind of upside down the silicone part will slowly pull out. I Hope that helps! :-)

    Nice video you have made.
    I am inspired by your video to do it my own crafting.
    But i have on question, Is there special type of concrete which we have to use or it will be ok with regular concrete?
    And what about curing time? Means of we have to reduce it curing time then is there any specific chemicals we have to add?
    I request you to please help me with this points.

      Hi! Thanks for watching :)
      I use cement all as it was the best concrete I have found. I would say you can test out other concrete just not cement itself. It needs the additives.
      Curing I allow my containers to sit for a day before sealing and then another day before pouring the wax. You can allow a few hours I would just make sure everything is dry before the next step :)

    Is there a more environmentally friendly container to be able to use for mixing the cement? Like a reusable one? Instead of solo cups. I’d love to start making these but I don’t want to be throwing out solo cups for each one made. Also what if you used white paint instead of titanium dioxide? Would that have the same results?

    • @WizeOwlCandles
      @WizeOwlCandles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually switched to silicone bowls and I love them now :) the white paint for me was way harder and I used way more than the titanium dioxide

    Today Amazon complete my materials, I’m super excited, but I would like to know how much cement and water in grams or ounces?, thank you .

    • @WizeOwlCandles
      @WizeOwlCandles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is exciting! Currently I don't have the weights of water or cement as I taught myself by eye balling it. If you are using the red solo cups that is what I use. I am working on getting more of the measurements out for everyone. Stay tuned

    Your candle vessels are amazing and I’ve started doing my own with your guidance. I’m just struggling with getting the colors I want with the acrylic paint. How do yours come out so bright and saturated using the acrylic paints? When I used terra cotta paint for example the end result was blush and the orange came out nude. The sage color came out grey.

    • @WizeOwlCandles
      @WizeOwlCandles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I found that when I dye the concrete white with the titanium dioxide it helps bring out the color more :)

    • @cookingtherapywithari8484
      @cookingtherapywithari8484 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wize Owl Candles oh okay so dye it white first then add the acrylic. Does it ever happen when you pour the wax that it leaves a gap as if it isn’t adhering to the concrete ?

      @ConcreteLand 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cookingtherapywithari8484 if you use cement powder and sand you can get white cement. Adding colour to this makes it look awesome.
