    Mica powder and glitter gets covered in cement... sometimes comes to the surface... but if you want to color it... add cement powder coloring like you do to color grout. Paint will also color your cement.

    Lovely video. Hydro dipping looks fun and a different option when it comes to coloring the vessel. I’m definitely going to try it. Direct Colors Pigments will do the job for you. You’ll only need a small amount to accomplish the color you are looking for.

    Use hydrostone. Its a gypsum based cement, and is white in color.

    I wonder if using nail polish would work in water too. Also instead of dipping it in sideways if you went straight down in with the vessel, I wonder how that would look. Nice video, I'm learning alot from these videos. Thx.

    I loved watching your video on hydro dipping. It’s fun to watch the color combinations and swirls. I just started playing with cementall & just received my earth finishes. If you seal the inside with earth safe and then dip with paint is it necessary to reseal the inside after adding paint inside before adding wax & burning? Thank you.

    • @MalenasCreations
      @MalenasCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I normally do seal again after, just to be safe. I don't want to take any chances of what the hydro paint may do or not do if it gets on the inside.

    I think you need to mix the mica into the dry cement first and then add the water.

    Thanks for great video! Have you tried dusting the silicone mold with Mica, before pouring the cement? I'd be interested to know if the Mica would adhere to the concrete? (I use this technique with resin)

    • @MalenasCreations
      @MalenasCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! That's a great idea! In this video I just sprinkled it down the sides and it formed a pile at the bottom, so maybe if I sprinkle it and swirl it around it may work out better. Thanks for the tip :)

    I tried the Hydrodip method, but I didn't quite have great results - I'm wondering if it is because I used enamel-based spray paint? (And I'm wondering if it will be safe for me to use to make them into candles now.... oof)

    Hi. I’m new to your channel but I’m so obsessed so far. My name is Jennifer and I’m 45. My husband and I have been married for 25 years now. We have two children, 21&19. I just recently this summer had to bury both parents and my only sibling. To say 2021 almost killed me would be an understatement. I’ve been praying and searching to find my purpose in this world again. My parents loved candles. And trust me I’ve went through every trend on TT and candles is where my heart is at. I want to name this new beginning JoLila’s after both my parents names. With a cardinal symbol. But I don’t understand everything that goes into this. Does the wax need to be a certain temp before adding in the oils? And tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.
