Hey DD, you literally have helped me rig my entire R5 & R5c's! Thank you for your help. I think that these companies should pay you to review their equipment. I've been following you for years now and have seen your skills building throughout. As a film maker (I don't really showcase much of my serious work on my channel), but I see the hard work and detail you put into each review. Thank you! I'm going to buy one of these v-Mounts right now.
Hey, thanks so much! You have no idea how awesome it is to hear kind words. I love running this channel as a way to talk with other filmmaker nerds (like myself) and hopefully pay it forward in some small way, to all the other TH-camrs who have helped and inspired me. I really like doing reviews, but I usually try to avoid being paid for them, because I want to be as objective as possible and share people my honest thoughts and opinions. Thanks for the comment and have a great day!
I have the same solution for my r5cm solution I learned from one of your YT with SmallRig case plus the small solution for V-mount Thank you has been great. In relation to battery and weight, I can highly recommend the slightly smaller 3579 V-Mount Battery Mini VB50. It is plenty for what I do, which are shorter formats.
Your channel is the only one I think will research the answer to this inquiry....Canon just came out with a special battery for the EOS R5 Mark ii......I want to know if this battery came be used with the EOS R5C and, if so, will it enable the use of some of the higher functions of the camera that remains locked out when on internal battery only..
You'd probably be alot happier with the R5ii though it does cost alot more! 😅 I had the R5 and went to the R5C, and I miss the auto focus system and IBIS of the R5. The R5C uses Canon's Cinema Autofocus in video mode, and it is very poor and has slow responsiveness when tapping on the screen to focus compared to the auto focus in photo mode. It also looks like the stabilization functions better on the r5ii than on the R5 and R5C (eliminates the wobbly background you get sometimes).

Soooo .. it's the old VB99 ... with the port cover flap from the VB99 Pro ?? :)
I have two of them and they're just the size to make it through the airports.

Neewer and Swit market similar batteries. Probably is the same with different branding.
I’m just wondering which plug-in you use for those nice glowing graphics? They look so cool.
Awesome video! How heavy is that thing?? So torn between getting an r5c or an r5ii. I already have an r5! I do a lot of pro video and photo with it.
