    Still heart broken Thorpe took he’s life like that. He was my hero growing up as a young batsman playing and loving cricket

    These two guys are just diamond presenters whether covering comedy gold or the serious edge of cricket. Not afraid to expose weaknesses and hard times. 👏👏👏

    Graham Thorpe was a wonderful player. If he was playing now his record would be even better.

    So sad. Graham was the nicest, most unassuming and talented guys I ever met. Will be very much missed.

    Don't like the Hundred, too many gimmicks with made up teams. To have it as the major event of the summer is a joke! There's nothing wrong with T20 Blast... Just back that instead.

      How many women's teams play in the blast ? How many of the spectators at the hundred watch blast games ? Finally how many IPL owners are in the process of buying blast counties ?

    • @martinharvey3990
      @martinharvey3990 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@DNW28 Counties do have women's teams too, but not maybe play on the same day. That could be changed. As for IPL owners, they'll need a longer format to fully maximise advertising rights for TV networks, therefore 20vs could be enforced. They may like the cities concept, but for me, it's too focused on London & the south.

    • @DNW28

      @@martinharvey3990 sorry but the blast will be a second rate tournament, if was iffy for the hundred but the decision to sell 49% of each franchise and the willingness of IPl owners to buy and expand their brand is a game changer . With the advent of the Indian WPL and seeing attendances at the women's ashes series and hundred games owners will see it's more a positive thing than a negative to include women's cricket . Leeds, Birmingham , Nottingham , Cardiff , Manchester are not London and the South

    I agree with 90% of what is said however, a point on paying for families to come out. In any other profession it is not paid for, If i m talking at a conference on the otherside of the world and I want my family to come out I have to pay for that.

    • @andyfolwell7482
      @andyfolwell7482 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      A conference doesn’t usually last 2-3 months though. Paying for families to travel is an investment decision for the cricket board. Will the cost of family travel enable improved player performance to the extent that the cost is a worthwhile investment?

    What the bloody hell is cricket doing in the Olympics?!? That's stupid! Cricket is a singular and magnificent sport and completely unique. The Olympics should stick to classic track and field and gymnastics related sports. Cricket is not a fit for it.

    So who are the other county cricket fans that don’t come from a major city supposed to support in the hundred ? It’s like football creating a new tournament mid premier season with one team called London and Chelsea Arsenal and west ham fans all coming together to support them.. it just wouldn’t happen .. county cricket ruined

    • @John-cj9er
      @John-cj9er 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      With only 8 teams I think they were always likely to focus on cities to boost support than counties. I do see your point though, I’m from Kent and apparently that makes me an Oval invincibles fan, it’s basically Surrey with a different name so I can’t get excited by it

      This kind of comment just proves how far we still have to come in understanding how extreme mental ill health issues actually work. Have some compassion.
