Fun fact: the fans were so upset about the lack of a song in the Journey to Un'Goro trailer that they started a petition to make game director Ben Brode sing something instead. He did.
I like Heartstone story because it`s a loving parody of Warcraft franchise. It`s a bit sad how this game sometimes understands this universe better than some people working for WoW, but trailers and flavor of the expansions are great most of the time.
I forgot how amazing Knights of the Frozen Throne trailer was. Kobolds and Catacombs is a hilarious one (and bonus points for being narrated by Mattew Mercer). I also love a chaos of Rastakhan Rumble and the story in Rise of the Shadows.
Karazhan is a raid from the Burning Crusade expansion, when the level cap was 70. Hence the disco theme, because it's from the 70s. As for the candles, it's a meme that has become kind of canon. Kobolds are the little rat guys, they live underground. An early quest in the human area has you killing them to collect their candles, while they scream "you no take candle!". It became a meme, and now Kobolds prize their candles because they fear a darkness that once haunted them.

While I haven't played hearthstone in a long time I still watch the trailers because I love that it's a very silly spin on the warcraft universe a lot of the time, that and also they tend to have great musical numbers in these trailers xD Edit: Also forgot to mention that the woman with the blonde/white hair you both asked who she is, that is Jaina Proudmoore Grand Admiral of Kul Tiras, former ruler of theramore and ex girlfriend of Arthas Menethil aka the Lich King, hence why the knights of the frozen throne trailer focuses on her because of the fact that she had such a close bond to arthas even to the extent that in WoW when doing a dungeon where the Lich King chases you the heroes (player characters) stumble upon Jaina battling Arthas and when asked why she didn't run away or even try to hurt him (she was just defending herself) she tells us that she wanted to be certain that Arthas Menethil is gone and the Lich King is all that's left. A suggestion based on that there is a very long quest chain in wow that ends after you kill the Lich King and if you have a certain weapon you can loot a chest with Arthas personal belonings, you then take them to each of the corresponding owners and they have a little something to say about each item. All of the quest responses are on youtube and they are quite interesting. There is a very good one focusing on just Jaina's quest item the video is called "Jaina's Farewell [WoW machinima]" and it's by Legacy Portal
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames It happens, I'll look at videos of games I've watched my fair share of but never played and just completely blank on characters. Its absolutely more difficult to remember characters when its from a game you don't actively play ^_^
Hearthstone is an actual card game in the warcraft world that is played at taverns. A very popular theory is that all the expansions are just stories being told while the game is played which is why it's so light hearted and silly.
I absolutely love these trailers, even though I don't play the game anymore. Saviours of Uldum and Rastakhan's Rumble just have amazing songs, I occasionally come back to the videos just to listen to those. Great to see you enjoy them too!
My personal favourite is the knights of the frozen throne. when it first came out, it had a ton of fun things you could do. basically like they showed in the trailer, you could make your main character change form. not only did it give you a new hero ability (basically a card you can normally cast once a turn in the things required for it to activate is possible), but it also added new ways your cards could work together with your new hero ability. the card also had special effects when you transform. like the hunter would shoot an arrow that deals 2 damage on every enemy when used to change form.
14:30 "You no Take Candle!" It's quite a meme among the WoW playerbase, since these Kobolds are encountered as a fresh Human playing the game. They are infesting the mines just outside the Human Capital of Stormwind and they all go around with their candle on their head saying "You no Take Candle!". Much later in the game, I think during the Legion expansion, we learn a bit more about it. Supposedly back in the days, when the world was young, there was a significant influence of various Void and Shadow entities. Bad stuff. So as a form of talisman to ward off the evils the Kobolds started to carry Candles to make sure there was no shadow for the evil to manifest in.
Third comment: Thank you again for doing this. I'd answer your questions, but you didn't actually ask any concrete ones... My favorite trailers from the ones you've seen so far are The Witchwood because of the twist where Hansel and Gretel (or whoever they are) transform into werewolves and fight of the monsters, and Rastakhan's Rumble, because of all the rich and colorful details and the music that just bobs. And because I've been a Troll lore fan since WarCraft 3. The "Evil League's" five main members are Madam Lazul, King Togwaggle, Hagatha the Witch, Dr. Boom and Rafaam the Supreme Archeologist. Four of them are Hearthstone original characters from previous expansions, but Dr. Boom was actually a completely minor and unimportant character from World of Warcraft that exploded into meme levels of fame due to unexpectedly being one of the strongest cards in Goblins vs Gnomes, Hearthstone's first full expansion. Anyway. Ask away about anything you want to learn more about.
With some of the final trailers, specifically the rise of shadows one, all of those characters had been seen before! Some warcraft lore regarding the kobolds and catacombs trailer. Kobolds fear "The Darkness" which is why they protect their candles above all. You may just think this is just the dark but no. It is a thing that we still don't even truly know what it is.
usually hearthstone releases a new expansion every 4 months or so coming up to 3 a year. Usually these expansions have their own contained stories but from Rise of Shadows up to Descent of Dragons and Galakrond's Awakening they tried to tell a cohesive story throughout the whole year of expansion releases. That is why Rise of Shadows had so many trailers telling a cohesive story as it was setting up a plotline for the whole year. You can see that Saviors of Uldum was connected as the City they stole in Rise of Shadows appeared in the main trailer for it. In the second trailer they also mention Rafaam by name who is the mummy looking main guy from the villain team. Another Fun Fact is that all of the Villains banding together in Rise of Shadows are from earlier expansions. We have Madam Lazul, the troll with her cards from Whispers of the Old Gods, the Kobold is King Togwaggle who had all of his treasure stolen from players in Kobolds and Catacombs, Dr Boom who was in Boomsday Project, Hagatha the Witch who was the main villain in Witchwood and lastly the aforementioned Rafaam who was the original villain to the League of Explorers in the expansion of the same name. And in the danger of making this an obnoxiously long comment you had a question about the Kobolds obsession with candles. Kobolds in Warcraft often live in deep dark caves underground. Because of that Kobolds where one of the first races to witness that the void can manifest in the world in places of total darkness. Because of that Kobolds have developed this culture of wearing candles on their heads and value them over everything else as it beats back the darkness and keeps them safe from the terrors of the void.

Oh hey, You two should totally look at the Sly Cooper Series. It is one of my favorite game franchises and not gonna lie,it’s just hours and hours of just GOD tier storytelling.
I'd like to make a suggestion, beginning with the trailer reactions and then if possible the cinematics as is a fantastic story imho. American McGee's Alice series would be an awesome game for you to know and explore, specially now that the third serie has been announced and it just to be approved by EA Games. It is amazing and I am sure you´ll love it :😄
My wife brought up something interesting while we were watching that I never thought of before. These Hearthstone trailers are actually a pretty solid guide to the various areas and themes throughout the World of Warcraft. Clever woman. That's why I married her. ^_^
Reminder:13 apparently just after I told you that it's been quite a while since we heard anything about a tekken sequel we immediately got a teaser for a potential tekken 8 it not close on the horizon though I would guess it'll be like 1 and a half years to 2 and a half years before we actually get our hands on it but I hope you guys react to the story mode for 7 before then so when you eventually get to trailers for you guys will understand some of it and have a little context
So while a LOT of these are non-canon, I really would love if they'd add some of them into WoW. The Mean Streets of Gadgetzan suggests that it is a big city... it's not even a very big *town*.
To answer your questions. "Who is she? She's cool." That is Jaina, before her hair change. "What's with the candles?" The Kobolds in Warcraft live underground in tunnels and mines, not only do they use the candles as a source of light but more importantly we came to learn that deep in the dark tunnels of Azeroth is a powerful and dangerous entity known as The Darkness, for which light keeps at bay. To the Kobolds candles are incredibly valuable because they keep the Darkness at bay. "What are those spirit animals they're summoning?" Those are the Loa. In Troll culture they worship Wild Gods they refer to as Loa which commonly, but not all, take the shape of various animals. The more worship, tribute, and followers they have the more powerful they become and thus more power they pass onto their patrons as well. "Whose the Orc with the shredder claws?" Hagatha the swamp witch. She was a villain introduced in the Witchwood expansion of Hearthstone. Hearhtstone trailers are fantastic; the Hearthstone team always does a great job.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames oh ok and I may have for got to mention that Capcom may have added more new monsters in sunbreak 4 of them anyway so you can take a look at the species

Knights of the Frozen Throne is for sure my favorite by far...a close second is Whispers of the Old Gods...all others are meh... not much into musicals and whatnot.
I'm very happy you did this video, but I have one minor criticism and, in case you haven't already recorder part 2 by now, I hope you'll change that thing. You don't give yourself enough time to absorb and react to the individual trailers. Even if it's just 5-15 seconds I really think you should take a small pause from one trailer to the next and actually say something about what you just saw before the next cool thing gets directly pushed into your awareness. That said, again, I am very very *very* happy you decided to react to the Hearthstone trailers. They are pretty and cute and definitely reaction-worthy IMO.
We have already recorded our reaction to the next part. But appreciate the constructive feedback and will keep that in mind for future compilations. Though even 10-15 seconds adds up with how many trailers there are in this 😅

Always good sign when spin-off characters make it into the main series…or it could also be bad sign depending on how you look at it 🤔
Oh hey, You two should totally look at the Sly Cooper Series. It is one of my favorite game franchises and not gonna lie,it’s just hours and hours of just GOD tier storytelling.
Yaay! I love these. Will comment more after actually watching the video. Still, instant 👍 Like.
🥰😊🤗
his last name is mrrgglton, sir finley mrrgglton, the most adorable adventurer out there
I'd like to make a suggestion, beginning with the trailer reactions and then if possible the cinematics as is a fantastic story imho. American McGee's Alice series would be an awesome game for you to know and explore, specially now that the third serie has been announced and it just to be approved by EA Games. It is amazing and I am sure you´ll love it :😄
We have had that in our list for awhile. Nice to know a third game is coming 🙂
Lets go my favourite couple reacting to hearthstone one of the best games ive played!! Thank you so much for these videos
My wife brought up something interesting while we were watching that I never thought of before. These Hearthstone trailers are actually a pretty solid guide to the various areas and themes throughout the World of Warcraft. Clever woman. That's why I married her. ^_^
you guys should react to the champions of chaos trailers for warhammer 3!
The troll song is a banger
I love heartstone
I play this competitively. I love hearthstone.
Nice! 😁🥳 So there are tournaments for this? 🤔
You should react to the Gotham knights game character trailers
You should check out all the dragon age inquisition tavern songs they tell some nice stories about the games
Fun recommendation 🙂
these trailers are stunning! especially the soundtrack, it gives me Disney vibes xD
Yup. Definitely fun Disney vibes 🙂
Not sure when we will get to it but it’ll be before 8 comes out or any trailers come out for it we imagine 😅
14:11 YOU NO TAKE CANDLE!!!
So while a LOT of these are non-canon, I really would love if they'd add some of them into WoW. The Mean Streets of Gadgetzan suggests that it is a big city... it's not even a very big *town*.
Keep up the good work Definitely not definitive I like your content and your awesome people I will always support you. 😎💪🙂 😊💪👏
Thanks so much! 🥰😊🤗
yesssss this is second beloved game. first - smite
😎🤟🍻
A lot can be said about Blizzard these days, mostly bad, but they still make the best trailers and cinematics in the entire gaming industry.
Who do you think would win in a battle Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare On Elm Street or Godzilla from Godzilla(2014) I vote Godzilla
Freddy
My favourite is Saviors of Uldum
Well, monster hunter rise sun break is out so I hope you get to watch the ecology intros for the new monsters.there as well as the elder dragons to
We have intros reaction coming out for that today 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames oh ok and I may have for got to mention that Capcom may have added more new monsters in sunbreak 4 of them anyway so you can take a look at the species
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames or shall I say some new and old ones that have subspecies now
The fortune teller from the Whispers of The Old God is voiced by the same lady who did Shenzi, the chief of the hyenas in the Lion King!
It would be great that some day you do a reaction on some of Max0r videos, they are incorrect reviews of videogames and are very crazy and fun to watch.
We do plan on checking some of those out eventually 🙂
Who do you think would win in a battle Michael Myers from Halloween or Pinhead from Hellraiser I vote Pinhead
Michael Myers
Now that u watched this trailers u need to watch Kronchi expansion reveals and animations. he is so good that blizzard have him do a animation in every expantion launch
also when kobolds and catacombs came out they do a fake comercial for a tv show with puppets.. pretty funny
Knights of the Frozen Throne is for sure my favorite by far...a close second is Whispers of the Old Gods...all others are meh... not much into musicals and whatnot.
I thought you guys were gonna watch the cinematic one with the little girl
Though even 10-15 seconds adds up with how many trailers there are in this 😅
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames You can always split it into more episodes than two.
Hearthstone, this is going to be great 👍
🥳🥳
New apex content has came out I really hope y'all do a reaction on it soon!
Love the video as always
Oh we will 😁
You should try the game, it's very easy to get into and a lot of content in it now.
7:07 LEEEROOOOYYYY JEEENKIIIINS!!!
Magic the gathering trailers next please
Street fighter x tekken all Endings
Woo Leroy
When you are done whit all trailers i can sugest Carbotanimations Heartstones shorts
Might be something for us to check out on our other channel where we cover some parodies 🙂
Did these trailers make you try out Hearthstone? If yes, how was it?
You can remove the reaction to the voice acting of the cards of each expansion. I like the old gods better. Very high quality and atmospheric sound.
I myself am not that familiar with Hearthstone. Not exactly crazy for it, either.
The Rastakhan's Rumble song is my favorite.
I appreciate that It's less complex than yugioh
But my wallet only allows me to have just 1
card game hobby
Haha, fair enough 🤑
Hi guys, I'm a big fan of yours ! Can you react to the second part of Mortal Kombat Failtalities ? Thank you, have a nice day. :)
We will at some point just not right away 🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames okay then, have a nice day ! :)
Naxx is out !
Are you going to do jojos bizarre adventure eyes of heaven yet or not?
It’ll happen 😇
One day one day i might see a reaction to injustice 2 clash dialogue 😢
We did some funny clashes for injustice 2 about a week ago th-cam.com/video/j0txi38X15U/w-d-xo.html 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames
Yeah ❤️❤️
Hi
Hey 🙂
Hello can you react team fortress 2
We will get back to some tf2 eventually😅
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames thx
Yooooo
I spent too much money on this game just to leave it. But it got so stale, mostly to do with pay to win and the grind.
