To be fair, the author wrote this years before multiverses became prominent in cinema and TV. Not like it was an original concept by any means at the time, but I wouldn't really count this among the deluge of multiverse coming out recently.
And they still handle it better than most stories nowadays. It's used as it should be, a plot device that gives the characters opportunities to see themselves and their world from a different perspective, in a way that informs their future decisions. Not just for lame cameos, retcons, and nonsensical plots.... although the comics did use it for cameos.

To clarify, he was not trying to do a Kang thing. He wanted to share all information and technology across all dimensions to solve all issues everywhere, pretty much the exact opposite of what Kang is trying to do.

The most jaw dropping part of the intro sequence and Omni Man's evil is just how casual it is. Mark: Snaps Eve's neck and cripples her. Nolan: Ah so that's what you were practicing on those protestors last week.
Exactly that’s what I liked about this I hate in other shows when the evil version is a like 1000% over the top evil they have to look Evil laugh evil smile evil evil music but this evil mark is just mark with a different morality
It's probably just because we aren't used to seeing it, but Mark seems weirdly more evil than Omni-Man in the alternate dimension. Mark's version of "compassion" seems more coldblooded than Nolan's indifference.

I feel so unbelievably bad for Mark and Debbie, I’ve never wanted to give 2 characters a hug this badly. For Mark it’s not just his father but his hero, for Debbie it’s the love of her life and the father of her child. Also, learning that according to Angstrom Levy, in most universes Invincible actually joins Omni-Man and conquers earth is actually terrifying. Especially after seeing how in the first alternate universe we saw Mark becomes as much of a cold blooded sociopath as Nolan.
I absolutely love their humor with the invincible tease and not doing the title card. And how they start off the episode with absolute demon time just like s1. Man am I happy it's back

Loved your reactions! At 6:27, the reason Mark didn't stop them was because they were villains in season 1 who nearly killed him, which probably caused a lot of trauma. But he left because he didn't want his emotions to take control and kill them.

The Kates aren't body doubles. They're all Kates. She dies whenever they do, which makes her entire deal a lot more metal - and badass. She's died more than anyone in this show aside from MAYBE Immortal.
While the brain scramble makes sense, if you look further into why he immediately becomes enraged at Invincible. A majority of the Angstroms had fear/trauma due to bad experience with Invincible. So when Invincible arrived, several of the Angstrom's were probably triggered and filled with anger/hate. Upon the machine not completing its brain transference, prime Angstrom's brain was scrambled. And then he was probably overrun with the negative, angered memories above all else, that the prime Angstrom's persona was gone and he become a culmination of the Angstroms that hate Invincible.
In defense of the multiverse plot-line starting to cook, This is how the original comic plot plays out and the show is simply sticking to that as far as I can tell 👏 Depending on your perspective this is either really good timing or really bad timing in terms of superhero storytelling, but either way it’s kinda wild how well every thing lined up

Okay, this episode mainly just convinced me on an idea I had least season. As epic as Nolan is he never even attempted conquering Earth, tho could have. He was down with Cecil and learned the world's super powered people teams during the 20 years he was with Debbie and never tried anything before leaving Earth. Seeing the alternate Graysons and what that Mark did to Sinead O'Eve, and thinking back to when our Nolan told the Flaxans that Earth wasn't there's to conquer.....it's not his either. It's Mark's 👀 Elite Viltrumites hop planet to planet as a "make ready" for the empire by leaving behind empowered functionally immortal children after crippling said world's defense, then go on to the next planet and do it all again. Which brings me to this: if Nolan is thousands of years old, I wonder if we get to see Mark's older brothers and sisters from previously considered planets 🤔 And Eve cried because they were a couple in that universe too until that Mark flipped. Okay, this episode mainly just convinced me on an idea I had least season. As epic as Nolan is he never even attempted conquering Earth, tho could have. He was down with Cecil and learned the world's super powered people teams during the 20 years he was with Debbie and never tried anything before leaving Earth. Seeing the alternate Graysons and what that Mark did to Sinead O'Eve, and thinking back to when our Nolan told the Flaxans that Earth wasn't there's to conquer.....it's not his either.

1. Omniman was about to be killed by Hail Mary until Mark saved him
2. Mark was with Omniman when that mass casualty in their fight. Cecil could not have full coverage of their conversation and Mark recovered faster than Immortal. So was Omniman really trying to kill Invincible?
Did Omniman really give up or did Invincible and Omniman have a deal to show a fight so Mark can pretend to be good?
3. Mark was sent in this episode and it ended with everyone dead. No witnesses as to what happened.
Immortal is wary, he is suspicious but he did not act. He did not attack Mark. He didn’t even bad mouth Mark he just said he isn’t sure he can trust Mark and he will be watching.

Dont get me wrong. What Immortal did sucks. Mark is a kid trying to help and a hero says that to him. It hurts but it happens. I am hoping if given time and Invincible works with Immortal they can build trust.
