I just wanted to upload this scene because I celebrated the OST of Later Comes so much and my intention is not to make money with the video. I just wanted to upload the scene completely ^_^
This cinematography is just next level. I kinda feel like Serena's garb should have had some blue in it, like a reflection of the handmaid's in black but with red veils. Would have just made more sense. Or at least the wives dressed that way. The wives had no indicator of mourning, and Serena had no indicator of being a wife. Just a thought.
@TechBearSeattle totally agree! Like, when the handmaids are being shown to be mourning a loss of the man, they still are visually categorized as being fertile. Because that is their primary identity in Gilead; wombs. So the funeral black doesn't completely shroud them. But when wives are being shown to be grieving the loss of a man, they no longer have an identity. The absence of a husband also creates in them an absence of a role, hence the all black costume design.
No, the wall was for those wrongly murdered, him being killed by the Handmaids he created was poetic, it was just his body they used to put on this show
The girl who gave serene the flowers is June and Luke’s daughter Hannah. Serene knew the funeral would be broadcasted and they’d see it. She did it to hurt them knowing they are trying to get her back, and with June and Serena’s history this was a huggeeeee salt in the wound moment.

The feeling of the cycle starting all over again. That girl is going to become the new June.
Nah. Read the books.
Unless she becomes the new Serena…
That girl is June and her husband's daughter, looks like she is using her as bait to bring june back.
Wow checkmate this was so powerful

She went from being a Wife to being a Widow. Just speculation, but it would fit in with the harsh hierarchy of status they forced on women.

@@mbd567 I can see that for the widow, but what about the wives in the procession? I still think black with blue veils would have made more sense.
@DenaInWyo good point! After all, they would still be wives not widows!
He should been on the wall

Is that girl her daughter?
