Card advantage section would benefit from cards into the fire and valakut awakening. Fire prophecy and volcanic spite are removal that set up the bottom of your library and replace themselves. I love my grenzo deck. I went with a mediumish goblin theme just to have access to their kiki and persist combos while also giving the deck a way to win outside of infinites.
That sounds super fun! Do you have a decklist you could share, please? A friend of mine is interested in building this deck and I want to help him! Thanks in advance(:
Grenzo is a great example of when the traditional deck building template will fail you miserably. Following the template gave you a grenzo deck with only 22 creatures and 40 non-creature non-land spells. You’ve got a grenzo deck with only a 21% hit rate, and any grenzo deck that whiffs 80% of the time is a terrible grenzo deck. I’ve been playing grenzo for close to 10 years now and my current build plays 37 lands, 3 non-lands (Ashdod’s altar, heartstone, and Cloak and Dagger) and 59 creatures. The whole point of playing grenzo is going all gas no brakes into flipping cards off the bottom and if you’re not doing that you should be playing a different commander.
With Grenzo and the Cauldron in play, Workhorse can generate infinite colorless mana, which equates to infinite Grenzo triggers. Or paying into gigantic X spells if that's your thing.
why would you put in cards like artifact ramp? all you want in this deck is creatures, so that's why I put in every mana dork with power 3 or less. They make it exponentially easier to activate Grenzo multiple times a turn, thus fueling themselves. Then you just draw into your combo on Turn 5-7

can you share your decklist plz? im pretty interested in grenzo atm
Hello, do you have a decklist?
Only 15 non basics and 2 blood moon effects seems pretty bad for you too also opens a slot for Fire Prophecy and Valakut Awakening
What is the reasoning for including Work Horse?
With Grenzo and the Cauldron in play, Workhorse can generate infinite colorless mana, which equates to infinite Grenzo triggers. Or paying into gigantic X spells if that's your thing.
