Concerned Caprivians demand referendum

Concerned Caprivians led by Caprivi Concerned Group (CCG) yesterday (30 August 2017) peacefully marched to the Governor's Office and submitted a petition demanding political dialogue between government of Namibia and the United Democratic Party (UDP), unconditional release of all Caprivi political prisoners, and a referendum for Caprivians to for or against their independence.
The petition is as old as five years, after failing to submit it twice in the past because CCG was not allowed to peacefully demonstrate and formally submit this petition. Hence, yesterday's successful demonstration and submission of petition to the Namibian authority is history and a step forward!
