    I've had my fair share of tear offs lol I remember my dad had me up on the roof when I was kid tearing off. Tearing off will make you tougher than iron. 💪

    150,000? I was a roofer for 35 years and that doesn't look that expensive of a job.

      Not if it’s some kinda damage the weather has caused it to be damaged like hail. This kinda commercial roofing can be completely replaced by there property insurance.

    After a few roofing videos from youtube finally I see correct side seem welding. Also miss hot mopping, I've done my share dancing on big flat roofs with fifteen pound mop. Kept me in good shape, did not miss the gym after work.

    Curious why you are doing torch down for part of the roof and using a hot mop and felt for part of it.

    • @zeketurner1431

      It's a Torch down base with a hot roof on top... you're supposed to wait at least 2 weeks before application of aluminum coating, though

      @@zeketurner1431 2 weeks? Some manufacturers require 40 days.

    Nice!!
    Commercial Roofing is definitely a trade that needs more respect. This work is laborious, and it requires special care to keep it watertight and do it right. The stigma that roofers are dumb has to go away. This kind of work protects everything below!

    why the fuck would youpaint over your cap sheet with buckets of alluminizer instead of just using a grey colored cap sheet. that was a massive waste of money. if you torch it down right you dont need to do that at all. also if you are gonna do that hack work just go over the seams. and dont tell me its to increase the life becasue that stuff will drecade the cap eventually instead of preserving it. its meant for metal or cold Tar you mound over pitch boxes etc.

    i will do this for less than 100k, even with better product, u should cut the roof with tools, u can rented at some supplier here. its much more faster to remove the old roof. nice crew

      I didn't get to show you guys all the footage but there was literally 6 layers on the first two roofs with all the joist and reducing that needed to take place. We literally spent almost 5k just for dumpster fees and overload

      In our state they don't even last 10 years.
      We just finished repairing one that only lasted 3 years.

    That owner got hosed! That roof should've cost $80K and that's with using Silicone as the cover not liquid metal! Liquid metal lasts maybe 7 years where as silicone lasts 50 years.

      @MarkGrinevich 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I 100% agree with you, we are certified with GE using their silicone. It's the best! Especially in the state we live in, that liquid metal doesn't even last 5 years.
      I know different states and different atmospheres it works but under intense sun, you need something that's 100% uv resistant.
