I am sure you mean well, but we all need to be very careful whst we are eating. Reused oil, previously heated to boiling point, causes chemical changes and becomes carcinogenic (cancer causing).
All these stocks and seasoning salts are also very bad for our kidney's, liver &heart because of its high colestoral, high salt content and suspicious ingredients. Prolong use of these additives are harmful.
I am sure you can make beautiful jolof rice without these addatives. Our mother did, but we have become dependant on it and feel we cannot manage without it.

For those saying she didn't parboil before cooking... You can parboil small quantity of rice but you can't parboil half -to -a bag of rice, no need. Just wash with salt, use bell pepper and good tin tomato paste to enhance the red color.

Closest to the way I make my jollof... although I parboil my rice for a few minutes (roughly 7mins) before stirring into the tomato sauce so I don’t need to use water to cook at all! Plus I use a little nutmeg at the end... my secret spice! and I don’t mean to brag but my jollof is insane!. Well done, looks good!

Thanks for the sumptuous vid. Loved it, but just one thing though, your pot is Aluminium. You need to change that not because of looks but for health reasons. Aluminium leaches into the food and if you look at the bottom of your pot, you will see that it's pitted. Where do you think the substance end up? The answer is, the brain not only the stomach, but lodges in the brain. Studies show that consumption of aluminium causes Alzheimer's disease. it may not show up now but might eventually in the old age. an impaired kidney will not be able to remove aluminium effectively from the body. Avoidance of aluminium is paramount. Please change to a good make Stainless steel pot or better still Salad Master which in my opinion is the best in the market. Love you and Love your cooking. Many thanks.

Senegal and Gambia jollof is the best hand down. The origin of jollof rice is from the Senegambia region. It is named after the wolof or jollof tribe of the same region. Other parts of West Africa borrowed it but it is not the same. You have to taste Senegambia jollof rice to see and know the difference. All good though one love for Africa...it is now the national dish of west Africa!!!
