Thank Carsten, really enjoyed the video tutorial most informative. Could I ask in a future video, could you devote a minute or so to explain the uses of the various layer options, like fill, pixel, mask and layer adjustments.😀📸
I like to add a pixel layer, select the eyes with selection brush, then use contrast/brightness to adjust the eyes, then adjust transparency for final adjustment of the eye(s). A simple and flexible adjustment for the entire eye so the user can increase the catch light if desired.
I didn't understand so many steps that are simple to you, I'm sure. For instance, in future video please show exactly how you got white onto the paintbrush, etc. It's very hard to find tutorials on bird photography, so Thanks so much!
You could not have explained that any clearer Carsten but still trying to get my head around the basics could I ask how you gained your in-depth knowledge of this editing package? ( Am running my package on windows.)
Thanks a lot Glen. I used to work on photoshop so the basics were there. Then it was a lot of trial and error and also a lot of googleing to figure out the affinity equivalent of each photoshop function. Serif who makes Affinity had put quite a few tutorials in the app itself as well. I will do some videos on layers, masks and tools as well as this seems to be a much requested topic 😊
HI..I HAVE A SILLY QUESTION..HOW CAN I DISCARD ALL THE FILES I HAVE WORKED ON THE APP ON THE IPAD..I AM NEW TO THIS..I MADE A LOT OF ERRORS AND EVERY TIME I OPEN THE APP THEY ARE STILL THERE..THANKS
Hi there. If you click on the small menu on each project you can delete the files one by one. There is also an affinity folder in the iPad files where you can delete files

Thanks a lot Jim. I can definitely do that 😊
I’ve just added a subtle catch light to the Great Grey Shrike, well pleased thanks.
