    Thank you for this lesson. Im currently learning directions. As always, you give great examples of the vocabulary, how it’s used in a sentence and the differences between how it’s said in Taiwan and Mainland China. Love that you use traditional as well as simplified characters. I have a long ways to go learning Mandarin (A lifelong pursuit) but I’m not giving up.

    Thank you. You are an excellent teacher, very systematic, very clear, lively and with enough repetition for me to catch the tones. I hope to join your class.

    謝謝老師教我們臺灣式漢語 😀。 Most TH-cam videos only teach us the Mandarin from China, so thank you for the Taiwanese Mandarin lesson which is very precious !

    Hey that's pretty wkd 很 好 ! There really isn't that much stuff on YT that talks about traditional Chinese so this really great because for someone learning Mandarin in traditional form its a nightmare to always have only Simplified Chinese on TH-cam. I also think its good that additionally you've helped people understand that Taiwan is separate ftom China as sadly some people in the west still don't understand. 謝謝 你!

    hello teacher Katrine, I would like to ask you, does Taiwan has a different Chinese language test or they do the same HSK in mainland china?

    • @smartmandarinkatrinalee
      @smartmandarinkatrinalee  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. Yes, in Taiwan it’s called TOCFL. But not many people are taking it since it’s only used in Taiwan and China won’t recognize it.

    A very little Italian child reads (or repeats) the word GUAI (problems). He says this word in a strange way, he can't read very well, he says this word slowly. G U A I = Turn in Chinese :)

      邊(bian) is side, it is spelled as zuo bian- left side and you bian- right side , chinese alphabet is pronounced differently with English alphabet. For example b is pronounce bi in English but in chinese b is pronounce as Po, another one is Q(kiu) in English but Q ( chi) in chinese
