The stance is MOST important… and it's bang on 🙌🏼

- The body is connected at the A-pillar and along the wheel well. Now we need to connect it at the B-pillar. We initially thought we would channel the body down over the frame but that plan changed in the heat of things. We want a certain stance and it's bang on 🙌🏼

I like when problems develop and you guys figure out to solve them, that's where the magic and interest is for me on the channel.
I think you all are missing the point of the bell crank issue. Not only has to lift up,Also rotate, but scoot in and out some because the motors’ torque up from the left side when you’re going forward. That’s why the Chevrolet bell cranks have the half moon ball sockets on both ends that can rotate or slide in and out. In other words it covers all movements, not just rotate, move up and down,(which takes two points of flexion), but short and long, as well .I’m not making fun of what you’ve done, but I’m pointing out that it’s still going to be way too rigid if that motors got any balls to it at all. And yes, I’m speaking from experience. This is the stuff I thrive on, or at least I did when I was still working. I entertained every suggestion, and like you said Chad, I take what makes sense and throw out the rest. Please think about a total floating bell crank like the Chevrolet had back in the 50s and 60s.
Nate is the man with the plan and a huge addition to the team
Nate does only what Chad asks... Chad's the man with the plan !!!! . These are Chad's Vision's coming into REALITY !!
@@Rob1970s chad may build things but nate makes them run smoothly
Chad does not claim to be a mechanic. But he's a great builder. I don't care what anyone says. Let's just let 3 friends work together with out starting a bunch of Drama that some of you create in your own minds.
@@Aaronlewis8846chad does have an eye for it
@@Aaronlewis8846 so many snow flakes this site if someone dare praise
anyone but Chad all hell brakes loose
Nate solves many problems give him some credit.
It will never run and be driven anyway. It's no different than any other car he has. 😊
You people are like broken records with that silly comment.
Yup probably starting another project in the next couple days
Thank god aaron is not a snowflake ❄️, hater lose that for some reason watch and just continue to be fools
@@Welder-y5x Tight and right!
Like the look of the car more and more especially with the bigger windshield so it's easier to drive. Yes I really like this one! 👍👍👍👍
Nate knows his s-it!
Stance is slick. Looks like its just itching to be sent out
Chad car sits great please don't charge anything!
If Chad would have mastered across at the door post the floor would not have a 2" gap on both sides now he has to fill in that gap from the front post to the back post. What I would do with the firewall I'd cut a piece of steel to fit the whole area from the floor all the way up it would plug all the extra holes in the firewall then you can make one fit on the outside of the firewall. Before you put the steel in sand it then use salt and hydrogen peroxide to make it rusty then rinse it off with water to stop the chemical reaction from the salt and peroxide then you could put clear coat to help it from rusting more
I believe he knew he was gonna have that gap. I think they want to do this car as fast as they can is so they can race this car by September I think at pinetree this year.
Put some long exhaust pipes down the side of exposed frame old school style that will hide how high the cab is.
Great idea
Hide?, wrong channel buddy! Bad Chad hides nothing, he knows what he's doing!!👍👍
I like how you think! Another idea is simply to paint the chassis steel flat black. Under the car, especially out in the sunlight it will more or less disappear. Cheap and simple.
Nah man, swept back, angled zoomie trumpet headers 😉
Its an easy fix take it easy but your right chad dont hide anything only all those disaters in his wharehouse@jessasto947
it is good to watch the real work being decided and acted to suit the car well all 4 of you brilliant
Excellent camera work 😀
Dang it, Nathan is good at figuring it out.
@@gil6439 ~yeah~treats Doug like a rented mule...
I’m liking the build, looking forward to seeing the end result. I do wish that they had been successful in actually channeling the car. Thanks to Chad, Jolene, Nate and Doug for sharing the build with us. A special shout out to Doug for his willingness to help however he can and his sense of humor. I don’t think he gets the respect he deserves. A belated “Happy Birthday” to Nate and Doug. One more question/comment if you don’t mind. When are we going to see the Bugatti and the 50 Ford on the road? A car isn’t a car until it can go down the road.
Looks terrible SORRY. When the engine rocks there is huge stress on the clutch bracket as its attached to the square stock CRAZY
By far my favorite build so far! The ground up retrofit, the body style. Can't wait to see the next episode!
Happy Sunday to all loving the build.
If you would adjust the welders heat/ voltage, continuous welds would look much better and be stronger.
Never seen him adjust the welder ever
@@NickDanger1957 Shoulda gone to Specsavers.!!
Might start on the fork lift monday
How is the body "bang on" when you wanted it channeled and it's not?
Concentrate on the awesome cars you build in your shop. Chad will be fine.
a 1 inch difference from front to back can change the body line on the side drastically it doesn't and is not a symmetric science on rat rods
The only people who never make mistakes are the people who never do anything. The issue is not ever making mistakes. In fact they are expected. The issue is how you react when they inevitably occur.
Love this build. That things gonna be a ripper! Great job
If your happy I am Happy too thats all that matters
Beautiful job team Hiltz...love the rake and stance on the Plymouth ❤
The saying today, is tight and right! Good work Nate as always...
I'm drunk and don't know what to say...❤😂
It was the 'haters' who were the one's who said from the start that there was an inherent problem with the clutch linkage. Maybe not that much hate after all?
Nice to see you work through it looking good
Many commentary is not hate based at all but like Chad we all have a different of doing things and sometimes some of us have experience in some of these areas and not just arm chair critics.
@@gil6439 WHAT?
Looks really good guys and gal.
We watch and enjoy your videos every day. My husband has me hooked and our schnauzer who watches and waits for Fina, getting so excited when he sees her. Even off times if we mention Fina’s name our puppy starts looking for her excitedly.
Go for it Team Hiltz 👁 🐅 👌
July 14th, 2024 ,4:21 pm central time
It doesn't get any more custom than the way You're doing all the work on these builds ❤, I just love it!!!
So "accurately, it's NOT channeled 4 inches" ???
The height seems right, even the rear wheel arches.
The car looks really good, great work 😎👍
Team Hiltz, happy Sunday Funday! Nice work everyone the Plymouth is really coming along nicely!
At least there are less and less idiots commenting negative and the ones that do , i recognize most every name and they do multiple !! …. Wow
The stance does look really good !
Chad , the car is looking good ! Don’t worry about it
Its Monday morning 5:49am in the Philippines. Everything is looking good Chad.
Chad. I thought you had already set the stance, the motor placement, the hood height, closeness to firewall. Ive been watching every day.
Plans change my man!
That Car looks Great !! Nothing wrong with figuring things out as you go--nothing goes as planned so you make some adjustments on the Fly . Sweet Build and I like how you have shown everything it takes to build a car like this.
Working with great people
I hope you are paying Nathan well.
Good guy and a smart guy.
You don't want to lose him
The stance turned out perfect with the chop, looks great.
My favourite part is Nate comfortably, with plenty of room sitting in the car lol. I thought the transmission tunnel was too big??? everyone was saying it??? Oh wait, the people commenting negatively didn't have their support worker and were left to their own disabled thoughts that day.
Mr. Chad ,could you weld a platform for the seat to sit on and you would have something for the seat to attach to make it secure. Possibly 2" height to give you visual over the dash board. If the platform could be made where you have 4" clearance from the door to the platform and make the top to go 2' to right, you would not be jammed against the door, plus door would close better. A offset platform with the bottom being a tad smaller, width wise. Some of the 1940's - 1950's tractor seats were offset to the right to see better going down the rows.
Looking 👍 very nice work the top looks great 😊
Need to change the name of this show to "Barbie and the 3 Stooges'"
You owe Doug an apology. In yesterday's show more than once you were rude and snapped at Doug. It's understandable to be frustrated when your plans go awry. Be a man, suck it up & tell Doug you were wrong off screen. Then make a "on air" apology to him and your viewers.
100 percent!
Just fine look old school 😊
Good quick job!
Hi all at team hiltz looking good
HAPPY SUNDAY FUNDAY ALL!!
nice work
So, back in the day, there was a lot of fixin and fanagglin to get the old cars old cars on the street. I am guessing that is why we have the safety laws we have today. Anyway, getting the car on the road was first in our minds. "what cha got in there?" Well, it was a flat head six. You can bet when it came out of our mouths, it was something else. Car is looking good.
Looking better and better
Happy Sunday to all
If presently it's not "TIGHT AND RIGHT" does that mean it's " LOOSE AND WRONG?" 😢
Well done guys, it's looking good.
Good work team Hiltz👏😎
Great video thank you.
🎉 Looking good!
Looking good Chad. Keep on going.
The stand is nice so is the car, it has a classic, luxe, look!!
The stance does look good 👍
Gonna be great
The stance is perfect. It looks mean very good job.
Thanks for sharing with us.
Chad, you seem to be crapping on Doug, why?
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
❤❤❤ Outstanding!
Looks great, let's see if Chad's mood is better this time as the last two you could see he wanted scream but that was understandable, be happy it's Sunday fun day.
Awesome, Thanks
Paint the whole thing with rockguard Chad
That car really looks good.
Looking good, love the video's. We did a 3 window in 1970.
Video work SUPERB as usual, what a pro👌🏻💫💯😉
Shouldn't a guy prime or paint the metal before playing or boxing in a area to prevent corrosion.
Absolutely...
Factory cars had bare metal
Inside … this car wont see rain and mud and snow , but i assume you may be new to the car culture
The bottom line of the body dose not line up with the frame.
I love the dedication to this art! Lot’s of hrs, and hard work = fun, fun, fun. Keep up the team work. That includes you too Jolene. We love the commrodery. Lol even myself @ 81, still can’t spell perfect. Been watching this a few years now. I’m still an old car kinda guy. Been there, done that.
YEAH CHAD make your own steering wheel from junk laying around the yard
Coming together!
Looking good
Looks good 👍
I like the stance Chad. I don’t know what your plan is for rear tires but I would prefer bigger and definitely wider tires. Definitely no white walls.
Nice Job 👌
yo Bad Chad and Jolene HI again from the D MI 😎 hey thanks for sharing another great video update on your Rat Rod 👍🤩 hey my solution for the exposure of the frame ( side pipes) 🤘🔥 😜
If Jolene is going to drive it ,why are they not fitting her in the car ?
Maybe chad wants to drive it too or they might sell it down the line.
Keep up your efforts. It's looking good !
the clutch peddle should be on a solid mount and the arm on the trans is solid you get the swivel motion from the arm from the peddle to the bracket there should be a peice like a i use a chevy rocker and ball then put a spring there to keep the ball pushed in the rocker i mimic the peddle assembly on a chevy truck and put my on twist to it
Wonder how long be before he push this to the side
Stick around and find out. Lol
Hey resident negative guy 👋
I really like the floor pan you designed. Make the car much easier to balance.
Hello Chad Jolene and Fina I hope all is well
Hi all from Trois-Rivieres Quebec
Nice 👍
the floor pan doesn't even cover everything up on the inside , there is gaps down beside the doors
In my opinion this car is one of the most stylish cars Chad has created. It deserves to go to paint. Would love to see it driveing around completed.
I think it looked better lower in front , made engine look larger , and you have no problem seeing out that 12 inch windshield 👍👍😬😬😬😬
Anything new on the Bugatti ? Would love to see paint on the project , to me this is one of the most amazing looking .
It's rusted away
Perfect perfect. Thanks ❤❤❤❤
Will there still be body mounts, between the frame and the floor ?
