- We have 3 areas that need some attention before we can move onto the other side... first, we need to fabricate and apply a patch panel on top of the door then there's two holes that need to be dealt with. Sometimes the small repairs take the most time. That's why we like to show these nitty gritty details because no one else does 😏

Hey Chad, just a hi from Texas, as you are setting on the toilet, reading these comments. 😂 I just wanted you to know I appreciate you building the cars on TH-cam, and after watching other TH-camrs, I wanted to say Jolene does an excellent job on the camera work. I would have never thought that I would like a Volvo, but it's looking good. Keep up the good work. You are inspiring.
showing all the small jobs that go into building a hotrod is very important because it shows people all the hard work that has to go in to achieve the final product thanks CHADMAN.
Chad I've been watching from day one and I've enjoyed every last one of your videos and I don't comment much. You must realize that comments are like assholes some stink more than others. The negative comments are probably from guy that have never worked on a car so never take it personally. You and your team ROCK keep up the great work, you are a great teacher sir !!!!!!!

Jolene made a nice video this morning on picking up supplies to do some supporting work on that storage shed, thanks Jolene !
This video format is the best - I could watch you guys for hours and hours! Thanks for this!!
Thats why you should have a full face screen when using them thin cutting wheels Bad enough you dont have a guard on any of your grinders. as a Safety officer I have seen pictures of workers with half a cutting wheel stuck in there face
Thanks for the tips and tricks Chad. You make it look simple with the minimal amount of tools and time. Thanks for the video Jolene.
great job on the doors. thanks for Jolene for the camera work …. Cheers!
Think it's good you show everything 👍 Go for it Chad 👁🐅👌
I am so close to be
Getting my garage done . And this old 63 year old is going to do the youtube thing every day it will probably make you laugh. But you snd Jolene have inspir e d a lot of people. Thank you so much.
You really nailed it again! Keep it up.
Thanks Bad Chad for thinking of your fans and protecting your hands with gloves!! It would really stink if any down time or video interruptions due to hand injuries. ❤❤🦁
A couple of years ago I was modifying a DAS bolt-in roll bar I'd purchased for my 82' 911SC. My 82' is a Coupe and the roll bar was built for a Cabriolet but I got it for $400 including shipping so I wasn't going to complain. Anyway, it was about 4" too tall so I modified it to fit my car (in retrospect, it would have been easier for me to scratch-build one that fit). I was using a brand new 4-1/2" cutoff wheel in my angle grinder and could find one of my full face shields (have half a dozen of them) so I used some new goggles. Hit the trigger and it exploded burying a chunk just below my goggles and right to the bone. Went to the E/R to have it cleaned out and stitched up. Not the first time I've had it happy and peeps using goggles or safety glasses should be cautious to not place themselves directly in the plane of rotation.
save your war stories for your grand kids
Since there is no roof on the car why not get rid of the outside door handles...Ron
very good point ron.
Looking good Chad! Alot of little finesse pieces taking place and shaped to perfection. Cars coming along quite nicely and should look awesome when completed. Nathan's doing great with the Brakes! tfs , Good job Jolene. TC
Your doing good Chad the car is looking great just do what you can each day bro it’s all part of the journey together here as fan and your all the stars of the show .!!! keep up the good work
Such a lot of work on the door. It all takes time to do. Good stuff Chad and Jolene..
Take what you like. and throw away the rest. 👍🏼
I've had blades catch like that and grab the grinder out of my hands startles the crap out of you and thank goodness it only hurt the cut off wheel. Car is looking great
If you actually ever did much grinding than you know this kind of thing happens sometimes. Its funny how some people just sit back and wait for something to pick at. Love the channel keep on building and I'll keep watching.
AMEN BROTHER !!! The keyboard warriors, they are called. 😂
Out of the Furnace, was another good steel mill movie the 2013 film directed by Scott Cooper, was primarily filmed in Braddock, Pennsylvania. This small but iconic Rust Belt town is the backdrop for most movie scenes. Braddock's gritty and industrial atmosphere perfectly complements the raw and emotional storyline of the film.
Your. Grinding is. The. Best. On TH-cam. Really. Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤
Exactly, small details that require a little attention but are essential.
The door definitely looks better now. 😎👍
Jolene changed the title to ' the grinder blew up while using it'. Only that it didn't. It flew out of his hand, cos he somehow got the disc pinched whilst cutting a single tack weld in a nice, easy position. And that's enough to possibly send you to the ER post-haste. No cutting something blind in an awkward spot, just a simple little weldment in plain sight. And the ' teacher' as some others refer to him , never went into examining fully how that could possibly happen , and how to avoid it in future.
That is a perk of being the content creator you can do what you want!
Totally awesome Chad! Keep doing what you do your way! I like the results!
I am here in South Africa, were the the time frame differs about 8 hours from your region, but i love to follow your show. Chad and Jolene, keep it up.
I still watch every morning at 5 love Chad's work
A cut off blade can become very deadly when it breaks.. a friend of mine thought would be alright to go into a tight corner with a air powered cut off. 2 and a half inch blade. I warned him about it. I went for auto body supplies. Had a call from the hospital that my friend was there in critical condition. Took out his right eye and part of his face. That was only a die grinder.. he was wearing safety gear. Put a blade in a bind and watch what happens!!
lucky when the grinder took off-I wasn't, nothing that 35 stiches took care of. Now the guard and handle are back on.
I know a guy got twenty four stitches in his stomach from a grinding disc that exploded ! It’s only a matter of time someone will get hurt that’s a promise
Jolene might think twice before standing next to him just to get them super close up views of his zip cutting in future. Same goes for Doug waiting just there ready to hand him the body hammer or whatever.
Just a tip when fitting brake shoe retainers take a pliers cut a small slot across the jaw 1to 2mm from the edge of jaw with a hacksaw on both jaws to hold the retainer washer much easier than using a vice grip.
A good little tip, though I'd personally use the zip cut to do the slot, cos I hate using hacksaws.
Just waiting for the Chief Chaddites and wannabes to come along and berate you for suggesting a helpful tip to an old school mechanic Nate who's been there , done that and doesn't need no stinking tips from faceless commentators who probably never changed a wheel in their entire lives. 🤣🤣
Glad you didn’t get hurt Chad we all care about you.
From Australia 🇦🇺
I watch several automotive themed shows, Puddin’s, DD Speed shop, Mortske, are a few. Honestly Chad you outshine all of them. You are an artist and you are consistent everyday. Jolene does better camera work than any of them by far. Keep up the good work. That Volvo is becoming awesome!!
Its like Metal sculpture time. :D this turned out so much cooler than i ever could have pictured the car.
Keep rocking creative hard work looking good, rock and roll Hiltz team
Wow I thank God you didn't lose any fingers Chad.Same thing happened to me but I didn't have gloves or eye protection back then.I was very lucky too.Deep graze & burnt finger all good thankyou Jesus 🙏❤👍🐨🪃🦘🐪🍻
Looking good...hands down😊
I like the way Chad explains everything, it's like a classroom except the teacher is cool 👍👍👍
A lot of work but I know you’ll get her done Chad, can’t wait to see it done..😎🇨🇦❤️✅
Please start wearing a face shield when using a cutoff disc on a grinder with no guard. It's for your own good and Jolene.
Please shut your face about telling bad Chad, how to work !!!
@@BruceWitcpalek-ws1rh Chief Chaddite Brucie getting nasty in the comments. And Chaddy threatening to name and shame any commentators who suggest he do things different; cos only Chaddy knows best. 🤣🤣

Chad how many pieces of metal has your optometrist has removed from your eyes hit the cornea yet ?
This roadster is going to be a looker
New tips on the welder are looking good and working fine 👍👍
Rocket Ship GRINDER !!! I was wondering when " a grinder issue" would show up. Lots of other car guys on U tube have had issues too. A great tool, but a very dangerous one !
Looking GREAT BADCHAD Nate SWEET JOLENE FINA BADCHAD WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO NOMINATE SWEET JOLENE FOR A OSCAR FOR HER EXPERTISE ON THE PRODUCTION OF BADCHAD SWEET JOLENE FINA NATE DOUG HOUR SHE HAS MY VOTE
One more thing Done, from the checklist. good job, Chad.
And that boys and girls is why you wear protective gloves
Hey Chad, Jolene and Nate, The Devil is in the small details that complete a unique project . Like the Volvo 544 Roadster or finding workable brake parts for the Hudson Terra Plane .
I agree, but what about Doug? Doug is a very big part of these projects also. Doug is the one who spent so much time that wasn’t shown stripping this car down. Thanks for the comment. 😊
Looking great, I can’t wait to see it finished..
Great job ,looks nice
2008 I was cutting something, it went through, caught my right pantleg, and climbed toward my... let's just say Giblets... I grabbed the BLADE with gloved right hand and stopped the blade, otherwise I'd be forever known as LEFTY
I wouldn't care if this video took a year to make.. thank you for taking the time to show us at home how you do it..
He's an accident waiting to happen
Another amazing video and you all are doing great and the fk with the haters
Nice work all the way around.
The Deer Hunter | 1978 the MOVIE WAS FILMED IN PITTSBURGH GUYS WORKED IN THE STEEL MILLS
The town, however, is an amalgamation of eight separate locales. Three are in Pennsylvania: the real Clairton; McKeesport, over the Monongahela River; and Pittsburgh. Two more are towns to the west, Weirton and Follansbee, in the sliver of West Virginia between the Ohio River and Pennsylvania
Good job fitting the doors
GREAT WORK GOOD JOB NATE
The piece you added on the pipe you could have left a tab on it to bend into that void and fill the rest with weld. Just Sayin' but still looks very good and the outcome is the same. I haven't done any fab work since the late 70 's and have to say you amaze me with your technique and hardly never pick up a tape measure. I was totally opposite, always had a tape in my hand.
No guards needed, only nerds use guards ... chads a proper man 👌👍👍👍
Love your work. Keep on smiling, life is short 😂😂
Great job as always working as one
ROYAL RESOECT STILL MY FAV
The only thing I dislike about watching is those ugly fender skirts
Cars looking good
Good work Chad and Video Jolene Nice job Nate on the brakes
Quick Question . . . . What about door seals ? You made the rocker/entry FLAT and the Bottom one of the door FLAT. What kind of rubber trim you gonna use ?
Like most things. You do. This. Very. Unique. Love. The. Look it. Creates. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awsome video Jolene/Chad, keep them coming cheers
Back of car looks great
KEEP BUSY!
I'm wondering about the high pitched feedback sounds that happen whenever there's no sounds or anyone talking. It's like there's a limiter or level modulation that turns up the microphones when it does not sense any sounds. It's irritating to listen to in headphones. Something needs to be dialed down in the audio to stop the "auto-level" from having too much control.
Chad you are making the car look good for Jolene 👍👍
BRO BAD CHAD GREAT JOB ON THE DOOR VERY INTERESTING WHAT I LEARN FROM YOU THANKS SIS JOLE DID GREAT JOB W VIDEO SEE YOU TOMORROW FROM DEAF GUY
Awesome, Thanks
I wonder if Doug and Nate have insurance there ?
Thanks Chad 😀
Chad those people are not worth any part of your time were are there builds so I can check there cars like you turn a car into a truck were is there so I can check it out love you guys.
The Universe just changed tonight. It happened at 11 minutes and 59 seconds into this video.
What a mess, less haste, more speed. 🥴
Strong cutting wheel it happens just part of the deal no worries
that's right Chad there's always someone out they're smarter they know everything..😅
You might get a reply from one of your leaders, chief chaddite wannabe @alpeach to help you smarten up your grammar/spelling. And he really does know everything language related, cos he reads dictionaries from cover to cover. 🤣🤣
It's Thursday. GO BAD CHAD NATION
Why not cut a piece of pipe the same shape
You are really working the drama headlines. Works for a while, like the little boy who cried "wolf".
Raised the price after we got there ? Really?? I missed that part on the Dodge...
Doing a good job Chad. 👏
Checkout the kindig door handles, would flush the handles!
love the Kindig handles. But thinking why have exterior handles if it is roofless....
Three hundred pounds of welding wire later .

Crazy good 👀🦘👍
Can’t blame it on nuthin’ after all he’s Bad Chad! It’s why I watch! I’m yelling at him most of the video and sad when it Jolene runs out of battery😂
Sometimes projects never get done. They get sold. Then autos are bought that need nothing.
Short of filling it with bubble gum, I just wouldn't know how to tackle this. But you'll fine a way...and a very fine way
Hey "BAD CHAD" NATION,..🐓in the🏠... MAKE THAT COMMENT & HIT THAT 👍LIKE BUTTON."
Lets not forget custom cars is Chad's favorite ones
Because he can't do anything else but paint , his own admission 😂
That's why everything gets washed with ," it's art, people , not a daily or even fully operable😂.
Half done art . That's the show.
@@thomaswoitekaitis8977 Not even Art, but half done Art. LMAO. 🤣🤣
Careful - Jolene is going to be asking for danger money working around exploding discs! Looks good. I was always told to clamp earth directly to the door to protect the hinge. Doesn't seem like you have that problem though?
Most door hinges in his cars are knackered anyways. An arc within the hinge to create a little dimple might well reduce the play a bit, no?. 🤣🤣
@@haynesdavis-m3p still trying huh? how is it working out for you?
Nice 👍
The back end of the car kind of reminds me of a bathtub Porsche the 356.lowered with some deep dish wider wheels & chrome dog dish hubcaps would look clean tuck the wide tires into the rear end without flaring it out.get rid of the steering wheel its an eye sore something like a 3 or 5 spoke chrome wheel would look better.
Show. Brasil.
Go for it Chad
