The worst reality is gravity.. really pulls you down. The biggest danger is when you have ridden for a while and you slowly get desensitized to the idiots trying to kill you, you take it as "normal" and you drop your guard... that is when you end up in a mode of "taking a nap, forever" I pulled up against a Mclaren on my MT10 - "what is the retail on one of those", passenger giggled, they had me to the middle of the road, I was on the back wheel by the crossing on the other side of the intersection... was good fun :) PS. I was watching this going " I know that road, that one too" for the whole video...
Pretty much every time i ride into my town square, someone backs out of parking space, and i have to swerve to avoid them. "Stop" signs are another daily hazard. Rolling stops are the norm for cars. Good video and keep it safe!
Mate most days you can experience the joy of people in cars just not registering a bike on their radar as they change lanes or pull out on you. The key is to anticipate that YOU are the one who has to be ready all the time for such situations. Never speed where there are crossroads. Treat every car driver as an idiot who is not looking out for bikes, even though they may be motorcycle aware, you don't know that until after the fact. I do alot of miles and thankfully I am as yet undamaged after 36 years of riding. Stay up and stay focused on everyone around you. Cheers!
I roar without a mouth, I charge without a herd, I have a spine but no bones, on highways, I'm preferred. With two eyes that light the night, but I cannot see, What am I, can you tell? Vroom, vroom, guess me!
Shaft drive solves the chain maintenance problem. Every couple of years you undo a couple of bolts drain some oil, replace the bottom bolt, top it up then replace the top bolt. Every time you get a new rear tyre fitted you get the drive gear greased by the people that fit the tyre. Most shafts will also outlast the bike. I've got an 82 Honda VF 750c Magna and that's one of the best things about it. I'm 64 and have been riding since I was 17 and after having many chain driven bikes I will be thinking twice before I ever get another.
WATCH OUT FOR THE GRASS CLIBBINS MIGHT HAVE TO LAYERDERN P H A T classic mini, would love to own one one day! Side note for anyone looking to get a bike: if you're trying to convince family/loved ones to allow you to get a bike, this is not the video to share xD Running reds is always silly, speeding isn't a huge problem imo, but if it's red, others will expect right of way, extremely increases chances of crashes!
Within 2 minutes of your video you talk about people who don't see you when you're riding, while you're lane filtering increasing your chances of people not seeing you!
Lane filtering is actually safer when done correctly. It puts the bike out front where it is easily visible by all the cars behind and out of the traffic that is backed up and potentially hoping to change lanes before the next intersection
@@sergeantwombat I was just messing with you, I do the same thing when I can! I was just in front of someone today and had to move. Both the driver and the passenger were texting!
Cars are not the problem... its their drivers..
Well yeah ofc, but i guess cars makes you more aware, cant judge all drivers as easily as just saying avoid the cars lol

This is a great way to look at the fundamentals. Everyone is a dumbass and you are unseen hahaha
Ride in the daytime, it's sunshine. Ride right after the rain, it's rainbows. Sounds like sunshine and rainbows to me.

This is why we have loud exhausts lol. But yeah id rather be unseen lane filtering than rear ended due to blindness

@@sergeantwombat With cars having more sound proofing these days it's become a myth that a loud exhaust makes you more visible.
