  • This is by far the quickest response ball I have seen this year. What does that mean? It means that because of the .024 intermediate differential matched with the Evolution Reactive HK22 Pearl cover, the Quantum EVO Response will see friction and change direction incredibly fast! Add DynamiCore2 to the mix and you have the sharpest and hardest hitting ball available today.
    With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
    Ball Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
    Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
    Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
    Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
    Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
    Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
    Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
    Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
    Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.
    The Quantum EVO Response is available starting 08.17.2023.

    Just threw this ball in scholarship league last night and this ball mashed, even with my lower 280 rev rate I managed to open up the lane the most I’ve ever been able to!
    For the ones interested in my scores:
    Game 1: 208
    Game 2: 268
    Game 3: 195
    Still getting used to the ball, but I’m excited to use it more!

    People have said for a long time that R2S from Storm was considered the best coverstock on the market. But I think the brilliant minds at Brunswick have found the answer to overtake that distinction. This ball gives me Nuclear Cell vibes honestly. The HK22 base is now the benchmark and at the top of the list as far as coverstocks go. Who would have thought that a lower end solid could go that sideways (Radioactive Vibe)? IMO HK22 has revolutionized ball motion and it doesnt matter if it is a solid, pearl, or hybrid.

    Love the motion. I have a BW Hybrid 2.0 and a Quantum Evo Hybrid. Do you think is ball is similar to the Widow Hybrid?

    • @brunsnick
      @brunsnick  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Somewhat similar yes. Both would serve similar purpose in the bag.

    Wow....🔥🔥! How do you think this would work for those full rollers that play down and in and speed dominant? Pretty excited for this one!

    • @brunsnick
      @brunsnick  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Should give you plenty of length playing down and in with plenty of recovery. 👍🏻

    Nick, I'm noticing that HK22 is being used in a lot of pieces of equipment, including lines other than Brunswick. Do you know why it's being used so much? Thanks.

    • @brunsnick
      @brunsnick  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Because it’s the best coverstock on the market right now. Shiny balls hook down lane better than ever.

    I love my QEP, I'll probably replace it with this.
    The only problem is my QEP is a ball I either throw a 270 or a 180 with. If it's on, it's on. It falls on its face once I have to open up, and it really starts to roll out and flat 10

    • @brunsnick
      @brunsnick  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Need to quickly assess which it’ll be based on what you’re seeing early on.

    • @vance836
      @vance836 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The thing about ayms is that in order for them to be effective playing deeper and opening the angles up you really have to be able to get around the side of the ball and create a bunch of axis rotation. This has always been my issue with asyms. I have virtually no tilt and only about 30 degrees of axis rotation. So the ball wants to rev up and the straighten out as it enters the pocket which results in those flat corner pins. When you watch these videos, Nick is more up the back when he is playing straighter and then really twirls it when he is at that 15 and 20 boards left of where he started to make the ball continue through the pins. If he threw the ball the same way playing 4th-5th arrow as he does playing up 2nd arrow he would see the same results you are seeing.

    • @iceman5117
      @iceman5117 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@vance836 I have the same thing, zero or negative tilt, but I lot of control over rotation and fairly high revs. If I twirl it up to throw it corner to corner, it's either coming in late or jumping over the head. My hellcat will cover more boards in a much more controllable manner
      I have a pink collision drilled full roller as well, and it's the worst of both worlds. It reads early and really bails around 40 with no continuation, almost like a really short pin

    • @vance836
      @vance836 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@iceman5117 I am a two hander and one thing I have learned is that even as I move deeper, I still try to play with my angles a little straighter. If I am playing 4th arrow; I try to use the 10 board or second range finder as the breakpoint. Rarely do I go coast to coast as it is common to see what you are seeing which is the ball wanting to go too long and enter the pocket from behind the headpin. You can back row yourself to death with solid 9s and 10s. To be honest; with you having a high rev rate; there really isnt a reason to use asyms as there are plenty of symmetrics that go sideways. The only time I can see using an asym is when you are on longer patterns and can square up in the track area. Use Belmo as an example. He rarely uses asyms. When was the last time on TV you saw him using a Physix line ball, a Gem, or any other strong asym? Almost every time; he is using Fate, Trends (until disc.), HyRoads, IQs, Phaze II, Pitch Black, and more recently a Duo. Even his signature line is symmetric. I know for a little bit he used a Reality Check and RST-X2 mostly during qualifying. But on the shows; he is pretty much always using symmetrics.

    • @iceman5117
      @iceman5117 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@vance836 I bowl league where assyms dominate. I keep a phaze 5 in the bag for later on, but its generally a bit too clean to start off with. I was considering the track stealth for a bit, or the radical outer limits, or the radioactive vibe, but I really don't need to spend the money rn. Especially when I really want the QER

      May be too angular and quick on the fresh. Could work once the lane has play and you need to move in finally.
