      Thanks for watching lol. One think half of the filming was quite dark on you it was a bit weird. Great video I think the 30mm is the best lens overall. Can you do a review on the Sigma 135mm F1.8 Art? I have one and for me is the best outdoor lens out there. This is the best for indoor and street, product, low light. Cheers

    16mm seems like GoPro style
    30mm seems like Cinema style
    For the video, I prefer the 30mm (I know that is a problem in some situations but I pay the compromise to have a cinematographic style)
    Thank you for the very nice review!!!

    I had both of these but sold the 30mm because it had really bad hunting issues in video. The 16mm is brilliant for the money. Sigma do a 56mm too in this range.

    • @ItsTomRich
      @ItsTomRich  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh really? I’ve not really experienced that with mine! The whole range is pretty insane, I’ve not shot with the 56mm. I’d love them to come out with an 85mm that’s similar!

    Hi, i have a question that has yet to be answered in this comparison:
    How do these two lenses stack up, when using clear image zoom with the Sigma 16mm, at 30mm?
    I have this theory that one could possibly get away with just the 16mm & 56mm.

    • @ItsTomRich
      @ItsTomRich  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ike Norris Jr. There are big differences between the 16mm and the 30mm. Most noticeably the lens compression so the image just cropped in won’t look the same

    • @ItsTomRich

      That’s not quite how it works :) you need to choose a ‘look’ that you prefer, as both 30mm and 16mm will produce different style of images. It’s not the case that 16mm will give you the same look as 30mm when zoomed in. Hope that helps!

    • @ItsTomRich
      @ItsTomRich  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Is this for video or photo? If it’s photo, decrease your shutter speed to fix this problem. If it’s video you might want to look into something called a ‘Variable ND filter’! This lets you control the amount of light coming into your camera for video :) hope that helps

      @@ItsTomRich thanks so much for the reply. This is mainly happening with just photo inside while using a ring light on my subject. I know this lens is extremely sensitive to light with the f1.4 setting, but that's what makes this lens so desirable 😁. I will try what you have said about the shutter speed though. As far as video I was going to pick up an ND filter, but are they ok to use inside? I was just going to get it for shooting outdoors.

    Thanks, I have both lenses at this time for my A6600. I just got the 16mm and have had the 30mm for a long time (I don't use it!, instead I use the Sony 18-135 which has so many focal lengths and is so easy to use during the day while traveling). Now, regarding the 16mm, it is LONG and HEAVY (this is an issue for me since I travel internationally and can't be dragging too many lenses). I already have the 30mm which is much smaller, lighter, and also has the great 1.4 F low light capability for night time shooting. For myself I prefer 16mm but since I'm on a budget I'll probably return the 16mm, keep the 30mm, and buy the new sony 70-350 incredible zoom lens. I use zooms alot when traveling. So my bag will have, besides a few action cameras, the sony 70-350, Sony 18-135, and the Sigma 30mm. For shooting documentaries the 30mm seems to be the recommended lens anywy, but I'm welcome to get your opinions! Thanks!
