Which is best midrange camera for real estate photography?
Thanks for sharing! I’m buying my first camera and lens. Did you mention in a previous video that the Sony ZVE10 does not have stabilization? What do you do about that when shooting video?
Mark, your combo of your particular humour and a photo walk is gold! Please do more of these!
thanks!! with that type of encouragement- I will
Natural humour, yes, but he's a comedian too !
Agreed
Hey Mark. Love your content. I just purchased this camera. And I a beginner and don't know a Damm thing about cameras. But now I have your lovely mug to look at so I can learn. I'm also going to take a fee classes at my local camera shop. But watching you is alot more entertaining. Thanks for all you do to help out us beginners
thanks for saying that!!
Love these types of videos - thanks Mark! We got this camera over the holidays so I'm glad it's still got a lot of life in it! Still learning how to use it, although I need this Sigma lens now.
This combo has been my daily carry for going on 6 months now. It's more than good enough at my skill level. Never let perfection be the enemy of good enough.
Exactly!
Yes!!
Is this combo good for Landscape photography and TH-cam..
@@travelgo..4503 I would get at least a 24mm if not a 20mm for landscape, 30 might be a little too tight, you can always crop in a little, you can't crop out. But it definitely wouldn't be a BAD combo for it. I personally would go to something like a 24mm
@@travelgo..4503 And especially for youtube you're gonna want at least a 24mm, I would go with that or a 20mm if you're gonna use it for landscape and TH-cam. 30mm is too close for TH-cam, certainly in my opinion. I would say a decent 24mm is a good shot 👍🏼
The Sigma 30mm 1.4 is really impressive with the Sony ZVE10. I was at a older mall in Coburg last week with mine and got some great shots with this lens. Great video!
Hello, from a fellow Torontonian! Thanks to you, I recently took the plunge on the ZV-E10 with the kit lens (found a used version found in Burlington), mostly to film my live performances. It has been great so far; no overheating issues in 70+ minute 4K shoots on stage. I also purchased a cage to attach my Zoom recorder for better audio. I look forward to picking up a prime lens at some point as well. If you like jazz, please come to one of my shows sometime and I will happily buy you a beer. Cheers!
I will look out for a show - and get that free beer!!
I've one with the Sony 18-135mm and it's stellar.
Great combo!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I'm eyeing the 70-350 to have ALL THE REACH. Have you tried that one?
Thanks for the thorough explanation on the Zebra usage in Aperture and Manual modes. Whenever I’m doing my street photography, I’m definitely gonna be using Aperture mode…….run and gun suits me just fine.
BTW, my ZV-E10 and Sigma 18-50 is one hell of a combination.
🍻
that’s the best overall combo I can think of
An a6000 with that Sigma 30mm is still my backup photo cam. I've had some bangers with that thing.
It would be helpful if you could create a video tutorial showcasing all the options on the ZV-E10 for creating cinematic or high-quality videos. Awesome videos btw thanks!
love the zve10, it's still the best bang for your buck these days
Thank you very much Mark for such kind examples with settings and final photo. Looking forward to more such videos with zve10 and your humour and trolling 😅
With my ZVE10 I use mainly my manual Helios 44-2 lense and I have a picture profile I created that compensates for day and night taking or recording video. All I got to do is adjust shutter speed and appeture for proper exposure with auto ISO. Not much time wasted checking anything really so I can get more time to skillfully manual focus on subjects 😂😂😂. I greatly enjoy the satisfaction of a perfectly manual focused image using a good manual lense 😁
Another brilliant video. Thanks for remembering those you convinced to buy into the ZV-E10 / Sigma combo years ago. 🤗
Dougie 4 life!!
Have you heard rumors of the zv-e10 ii??? I can't wait!
haven’t heard anything yet, I guess I’ll go on the rumour sites to check out out
Great video mark. I love these kind of chill videos. Please make one with sigma 16mm 1.4. That would be great.
I love my zv-e10. Just bought it late 2023, even just with the kit lens I manage to take good photos on the street and do some product photography. I just bought a 50mm 2.8 macro because after some years with my old nikon dslr, I now know that I often use 50mm instead of 35mm or wider, and sony's macro lens also did great for close up products photography; portrait and street photography, so I think this is my perfect set up. Being said that, I'm thinking about buying this 30mm or the sony 35mm 1.8 with the OSS. What do you think about those two lenses? Which one's for which case of photography, which af is faster, etc.
Thank you for the pov video Mark.
I like the sigma because it goes to 1.4 and it’s tack sharp. but the 35 is great
hey Mark! I’m an actor about to purchase the Sony ZV-E10, wondering your advice… for lenses, I’ve been looking at the Sigma 30mm f1.4, the Sigma 16mm f1.4, and the Viltrox AF 56mm f1.4. I’ll mostly be using this for self tape auditions, but would also love to take headshots for friends and start experimenting with short films. Would any of these lenses be ideal for all of these purposes, or do I need to just focus on one thing at a time and add different lenses when I can afford? Thank you for your time and love the info in your vids!
Hey Mark! Can you do a review about the new hollyland Lark m2 wireless microphone?
on the way!!
When out and about using A6400 mostly with either Sony 35 f1.8 or Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 and sometimes Sigma 56 f1.4 or Sigma 16 f1.4. Just got Sony 11 f1.8 (can blame you for that 😂) so maybe it will have a place when out and about…not sure tbh.
Love your content....❤
Hi Mark, dumb question: Why were the pictures less bright than the footages? Which has the more natural light (what I mean by natural is the closeness of vision with the human eye) ? The video footages or the pictures taken with Dougie?
By the way: best picture a 9:45 !
The action cams are super bright and punchy - they do that to make the footage look “vibrant”. But it’s really pretty terrible video and even worse for photos. Real life doesn’t really look like action cam footage.
Love a good photo walk. Don’t get to do it very often unfortunately. Would love to see your editing process
editing photos video is on the way!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis oh!!! Can’t wait for that one!
You HAVE to get your hands on a Nikon Zf!!! Watching you struggle with all the silly buttons and wheels with gloves on is painful to watch. The experience of using dedicated BRASS dials is so much better than what you're currently doing. Plus you can easily adapt all of your Sony lenses with a $250 adapter. I recently posted a video on my channel about it - as a Sony fanboy as well, you will LOVE it!!
Well you convinced me and I just order the sigma 30mm
it’s a steal of a lens
How to export photos in a high quality from zv e10
I have that combo. Perfect.
really great video I love it ♥
Do you shoot in raw? Nobody mentions the error message on the display when you use a fixed focal length and shoot in Raw and you get to the zoom switch.
Well clear view zoom doesn't work when shooting RAW and there isn't a power zoom for the knob to control either so that's why you get the error.
yes I shoot in raw. I’m used to the camera now, so I rarely hit the zoom rocker by accident
@@jammaschan Yes I know that. It's just very annoying because I often have to use the zoom switch because it is very loose and the error message is constantly triggered.
@@pixelkiez that's true but oh well it's pretty easy to get rid of the notification and that's probably the only gripe I have with the camera apart from the stupid amount of rolling shutter when shooting in 4k (given its price)
Greatest video!
I think all sony apsc camera have some negligible differences in terms of image quality, do you agree?
for photos - yes, I would say you would be hard pressed to tell the difference in any Sony apsc camera over the last 5 years in raw photos
Hi Mark how you set your zebra and how to use? Thank you
I set my zebras at 100+
Hey can you review the Sony Zve 10 with the first g master 70-200 mm plz🙏🏾
zve10+ sony 15nn = lightweight + superb photo quality
absolutely
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks for your video since last year manage to get this combo
thanks for sharing😍😍
You put me in camera crisis
🤣
This is not photography related, but now I have a girlfriend thanks to going out and taking pictures with this camera. I wasn't thinking of using the lil' doggie to take photos, but your old "Sony ZV E10 Street photography POV" video made me want to do the same.
Love this kind of videos!! Keep making them pls
@@PalaHzHappy for you!
Wait… More videos for you leads to more Girlfriends… watch out buddy 😅😂
haha - that’s great!!
Cool vid as always youre a funny gremlin
Those photo are editless?
No, I shoot raw and edit the photos
What Zebra level did you use to save the highlights? I heared something around 109+ is good for RAW photography to preserve all the highlights.
I just keep it simple and use 100+

Creators are not protected in the EU. You are basically not even allowed to take a picture of a group of random people. You'd really have to get every single person's permission to release the image. This is nuts.
While on the other hand, they force you to put your legal address in the imprint on TH-cam if you release videos regularly. No post box or stuff, your legal address. And your landlord has to agree to you doing TH-cam videos at home if you put that address up on the internet.
But America is still worse

Fun fact: Mark is responsible for ~73% of ZV-E10 sales
Brilliant photo walk, very informative and enjoyable. Explaining the camera settings was icing on the cake. Needs more of such videos 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I really enjoyed this street walk / street photography course. Giving advices live with a specific camera is super cool
I got my ZV E10 3 days ago. It´s really nice to see that it´s still relevant
it’s a great camera. will be relevant for years and years,
i am a beginner. want to learn portrait photography and basic film making want to buy ZVE10. is it ok?
@@powernapppI bought my last March/April and I love it.
They didn't had the Camera with the kits lenses so I Bought with Sony 50mm 1.8f
After I bought Viltrox 20mm 2.8f and after Sony 55mm-210.
recently bought Viltrox extension tubes for macro.
All new and at good prices
Best decision I made. Great portraits pictures, landscape, animals, macro, beach, forest, I even took pictures of the moon. 😁

I love being able to see you actually do the adjustments, plus the humor and the settings. I could watch these all day. All I do is shoot on my ZV10 and always feel like im not maximizing its potential. This really helped. Your the reason I want to start my own photography channel and TH-cam. I cannot thank you enough.
glad to hear it!!
How do you set the shutter speed automatically
Now the Sigma Qudao f/1.4 16mm, 23mm, 30mm and my favorite 56mm. Cheers!
I have this camera and it is absolutely a little beast! I've done concerts and portrait photography and I really like the results
Just ordered this lens
I love the ZV-E10 for photos, but it bewilders me as to why Sony refuses to give it auto iso w/ minimum shutter speed...Then it'd be perfect!
I know!!
I bought it for video, but ironically it does photo better than video, except for lack of viewfinder. The reason I don't like it for video is because the stabilization is not good without a gimbal. Tried active steady shot and catalyst and its just not up to my standard. Maybe GoPro has spoiled me. I am going to go to ZV-E1 with IBIS and full frame, albeit with much higher price point. Will probably still use mostly apsc lenses with the crop factor with active stab.
yes, the stabilization on video is not great
Mark your videos on Doug made me purchase my ZVE10 sometime last year. ( I call mine Zed lol). I originally bought the A2 and I'm glad I returned it and saved money in the process. I am going to look into getting this lens probably in the near future. Thanks for all your content on Doug! Please continue to make awesome great and witty content!
@markbenett bro should i buy sonyZv-e10 or sony 6400 or any other series as i'm in a tight budget . Cause it doesnt have an Evf but have gimble like stabalization too. I'm thinking to buy this because its under 62k INR 🇮🇳 with kit lens . Only body cost me 52k . But what do you suggest should i wait or arrange some 10 k more and buy canon R50 but it has not option for third party cheap lenses. So im stuck which to buy in sony a6100,a6400,a6600,ZvE-10 or R50 by canon. I need a camera which can be used as both high quality photo and video, Cinematic ,portraits etc. Please recommend me best which will not outdate early.
haha first
Hi, I just got my camera, is this lenses good for vlogging. I’m new to videography and photography. Whilst I’m on a budget, I still want to get good quality. Love your videos ❤
Ahahah... So strange, exactly the combination I'm using right now.
I was interested in photography. And moved on to Sony ZV-E10. But didn't take any picture, because it became meaningless in my life. Now I have a 1 month old daughter. My first child, when I'm 45. I took all of her photos with this combination Sigma 30mm f1.4 dc dn. Now my photos have real meaning in it for me :)) (I didn't like the photos of her with Sony 50mm f1.8 oss.)
congrats on the daughter. the best possible use for a camera!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you :)
We all come for reviews and stay for the personality ❤
Please Compare Sigma 10-18mm F2. 8 vs Viltrox 13mm f1. 4 with Sony ZV E-10... 🙏🙏
if the zve10 II lets me do h265 30fps I'm gonna buy it. sony, wtf
Thanks for the zebra settings and explanation! I think I take more photos with my ZV E10 than video. Thanks for your knowledge (and entertainment!)
9:52 I love how the FedEx truck just spawned there
One of the most useful videos I've seen about photo taking! Thank you so much for this great experience. I have ZV-E10 and Sigma 1.6 and never knew my camera could take this kind of photos lol. Hope to see more of these, thank you! Greetings from Turkey!
Please compare R50 and this camera photos. At least you started making videos on photography.
Zve10 + sigma 18-50 f2.8 is very good combo for photography, it’s still a mirror less but he’s doing a good job!
It is the most capable teeny tiny combo that you can get.
Those photos actually look awesome!
Too sad, Sony E Mount APSC doesent offer small primes like mFT does. Like optically good 1.8 lenses in the range of somewhat between 16mm and 23mm. Most of the lenses are even bigger than their full frame counter parts. Tze bodies are great, the lenses not so much. Sony focuses clearly on full frame.
They did introduce the 11 1.8, 15 1.4 and 10-20 f4 which are tiny are great. They are definitely ramping up APSC.
I think the best Combo is the ZV-E10 and the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8
Everything is possible and its compact and ultra light weight. I use this combo also for traveling.
Kind regards from Austria!
that might be the best setup overall - so great
Can anyone tell me if it's worth picking up the Sigma 30mm f1.4 if I already have a Tamron 17-70 f2.8?
It would only be helpful if you are needing that really good lowlight at the 30 of wanted some big separation at that length. But for general photography the Tamron 17-70 covers you for so much. You can always look at some to big wider or more telephoto and spend you’re money there
Yessss I love this style - waking around taking shots and showing it off. Thank you!
I deeply regret buying that camera the photos aren't any different from iPhone photos, it's just a fancy body for the camera and nothing more.
you just need a better lens
iphone 15 pro or Zv-e10? taking into consideration all pros and cons...
iPhone is quick and easy. But if you want professional looking photos and video, you’ll be a lot better off with a mirrorless camera like the zv-e10
Hi Mark! When you are using prime lense, do you use clear image zoom? or no zoom at all?
you can't use clear image zoom with raw photos. So I use no zoom at all with a prime
I'm looking to buy a sigma 30 f1.4 with a sony zve10 to record short podcast clips like you're reviewing in a studio. I have 2 softbox full of light. Will there be hunting when focusing?
no - it won't hunt for focus if you have one person in the shot. If you have two or more people in the shot though, you would be better off setting manual focus
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thank you so much
Sir can I use this combo for Landscape photography also?
for sure. landscapes can be any focal length. Some people shoot them with a 30
Great Video Mark as Always... 👍 I think I will be getting sigma 30mm for my Sony ZV-E10 Rob from the UK
The reason I really liked this video is that you went on the street to take some photos. Quite funny when dealing with people. What I see in videos about photography is that there is far too much attention to product, i.e., bodies, lenses, accessories and too little on the art of photography. Certain brand of cameras will not make a person take the world's greatest photos, neither lenses or accessories. It's getting out there in the wild and taking photos. What can a person really do, can they take a photo that tells a story, it is quirky, really different or just the same a what everyone else does. I shot Pentax with limited number of lenses, same with Canon and my two Nikons (F2A and FE2) that I still have. They are 40 plus years old now. Sure, you love Sony, I do to. Absolutely love how the work and feel in my hand. But it comes down to accomplishing the task of getting that picture. It can be in sports or news (which I was involved in years ago).
So I hope you get out more, not just your backyard or park, but on those assignments and demonstrate how to use a camera. You seem to really know the tricks of the camera to get great photos. Try that more often than sitting in a studio. The world IS our studio.
Pls give your review about DJI Osmo action 4
on the way
I do not know what to choose if this sigma 30mm f1.4 or 16mm f1.4
for photos - the 30mm is more appropriate for regular photography, the 16 is better for wide shots like landscapes and night skies and talking head video
Aren’t you losing some quality by not setting your ratio to 4:3?
3:2 is the full apsc sensor - that will give you the most megapixels
In 2 months after this channel watching: I purchased zve10 then sony11mm then sigma23mm then sigma56mm. I think I don't need sigma30 and sony85mmf18 as beginner.
that's a great setup - stick with it
Our handsomeness, the fun in your channel made me stick to you, I love learning while keep smiling, your blend is perfect, I came to channel for free fun! While learning high quality contents. I respect you sir! Thank you for everything.
No one will talk about that women , who turned around seeing the camera 😂
haha
Would love to see side by side comparison of this lens with FF Sony 35mm f1.4 with focus breathing compensation on FF camera.
Guess technically it should be +- the same focal length with price difference 5 times.
I like sony zve10 + sigma mc 11 + sigma 18 35 f 1.8
But I have been using the sony zve10 + commlite + nikon 50 f1.4 as my GOTO for street portairt.
Hey Mark, what Zebra settings are you using ? Please share
I just poured my second cup of coffee into a tamron lens. I'll probably do it again tomorrow
makes it work better
Yeah my snapshot goto setup. Tho I´m using the Sony 35mm F1.8. You should try it at some point, buildin IS which works amazing on the E10.
Mark, do more of this, taking your little Duggie out for a walk. This is far better than talking into a camera in a studio. Love to see how people use a camera and their choice of lens/lenses. Being that I live in the desert, Riverside in California, I have to ask you what the white stuff was on the ground. Just kidding. That has to be salt so you don't slip on your arse, right? I like to use either my ZV-E10 or a6700 since both are very small. I will use either a 16mm 1.6 or 10-20 f4 Sony PZ zoom. Other times I will take a longer zoom just to change up.
Nice work. Wish that lady didn't turn around. It was so obvious it was funny. I remember one time, many decades ago, I was at a flea market taking pictures only to turn my head left to see a lady with her camera pointed right at me. Weird, weird.
Again yes oh yesh 😊😂
which adapter should be bought for this lens
