omg, this is sooo sick. huge leap in quality compared to PXN 2019Pro. i feel like i got 200-250$ sticks for a really good price. im honestly suprised in the material quality and feel of the sticks. i love their not so big foot print saving space on my desk. i would do mounts but not a good desk for me to mount them to. at the end of the day all i can say is i love these sticks.
You keep it updated by flashing only if you program the joystick through the native software. If you'll use it with the default settings reflashing maybe once a year or two is perfectly fine. A new device certainly doesn't need flashing, just initialization and calibration.
My gladiator evo omni came with firmware v2.176, the latest firmware on the website is 2.165. I flashed my right stick with the old firmware. Are these shipping with unreleased newer firmware?
if I'm interpreting this video right then your Gladiator is already at V2.13.F (at 1:16), then why are you flashing version V2.12.2? And if I'm correct so far, then the Zbootloader program should at least caution the user than a firmware downgrade is about to be performed.

I won’t even say it since every mention delays it 2 months. But I am tired of having such a nice VKB stick and then having to use the keyboard for all my throttle control and mapping. Really brings down the immersion.
The throttle on my Gladiator EVO GT R XT2 v2.165 does not respond at all. Tried reflashing the firmware and calibrating. cannot enter access mode with the mini stick either.

Clearly someone at VKB doesn’t understand that when you hit pause on a TH-cam video, that the lower half of the screen cannot be viewed. Therefore if you’re going to use subtitles, may I ask that for the sake of us slow (and non-native-English) readers, that you put the subtitles at the top of the screen?
That's why the captions are at the top and the auto generated subtitles are above the navigation and controls bar. If half the window is covered when the video is on pause I suggest to close the recommendation popup or contact YT to remove that abomination.
I understand how/why the narrator would believe the names are pretty self explanatory, but the fact that I came here for help deciphering which one I needed proves that to be false. Please include a readme.txt with descriptions and/or add this information to the documentation (which I read first, as I prefer text based instructions where possible).

was you able to figure out which file you needed to boot? i got dual Gladiator NXT EVO space combat editions right hand premium and left basic. i used Gladiator EVO v2 as my flash since the folder is named NXT series and the sticks are the EVO line of that series.

It won't do anything by itself; after you press the Start Calibr button, as shown in the video, you'll have to move the joystick along all axes: pitch, roll, twist it, push the minithrottle, put the ministick in axes mode and move it around, then click the End Calibr button. The whole procedure is presented in the video above.
As I calibrate, my Primary X axis seems reversed, where as the Rot X axis works as anticipated (leftward press moves metric left; opposite on Primary Axis X. Does this make sense?

First of all, if the device is brand new there's absolutely no reason to reflash. Second, if you get that error it means you're trying to flash the wrong firmware.
I flashed my NXT EVO base with the KG12 grip using the _Gladiator_EVO_v2_14_A.vkb firmware. All the buttons on the base seem to work fine but none of the buttons on the grip work. The configurator software now recognizes the controller as a "EVO R" and displays a picture of a SCG instead of the KG12. It even displays the SCG specific hats axis for calibration. Has anyone come across this issue? Do I need to reset it somehow? It worked fine before so I regret updating the firmware now. It's a great controller if I can get it to work.

I have this exact same problem 😢 None of my stick buttons or POV work. Plus my twist is not registering. The throttle is reversed and registering as Z axis instead.

I have a problem, the calibrating work fine and the stick can notice how much you use it. But when i try it in microsoft flightsimulator 2020 it goes from 0-100, like on and off in an instance. Where could i seek further help with this?
I just purchased a Gladiator EVO and noticed that the firmware version preinstalled with the device supersedes the available version from the VKB website. A heads up for anyone looking to flash - take note of the version number and don't overwrite if unnecessary to do so!

You have to get through the procedure explained above - just skip the flashing part, which is not needed for new devices, then follow exactly all steps. After resetting to default and initialization the device will get properly recognized; continue with calibration.

How to know if my just arrived Gladiator EVO stick + THQ is version 2? or not? Note: also the mounting video does not correspond to my throttle: it says conect the "3-pin and 4-pin cable" and shows a throttle interior with 2 ports close to the THQ, where mine only has 1 4-pin port inside the throtlle. The stick came with a 3-4pin cable and a 4pin+4pin cable. I think I should only use the latter, which I did. Is this what makes "version 2"?
Please use the 3 wires cable to connect the module to the EVO. Plug the 3 pin connector into one of the 2 available 4 pin sockets like this: forum.vkb-sim.pro/download/file.php?id=12521&mode=view

@@FreeErik It doesn't matter if the board looks different; most probably you have a newer version. But the devices should still be linked with the longer, 3 wire cable. The 4 wires cable is for interconnecting modules only.

During my calibration, when pressing button A1 the red LED did not light up and it did not enter analog axis mode. Is there any configuration for the A1 button to understand this command?

Been trying to get the ministick to calibrate. The red LED never comes on after I press the mini stick like a button. the mini stick does not register on the Rot X or Rot Y axes. I can calibrate everything els though.
The ministick is present only on the Premium version of the grip. If you have the Standard version, then there's a hat switch instead of the ministick and that doesn't need calibration.
Thanks, now I have a problem with the game MSFS 2020 not recognizing the stick as a control option. I flashed and calibrating again to no avail. Any suggestions? Sorry for trying to turn this into a help desk I'm just a noob to this peripherals game. @@VKBSim

Did this to the letter but my buttons and pov on my KG12 stick do not work. Z axis does register when I twist the stick. Throttle is registering as Z axis.
I am getting a "device signature not correct - Flash fail" I am attempting to flash my Gladiator NXT that currently has 2.12.2 firmware on it. The device has been working fine but I just got another stick and was attempting to flash the old one to the new firmware. Any idea how to fix?

Most of the phones needs to be updated too when picked up from store, same as motherboards, video cards and many other electronic devices. No company in this world won't open their whole stock if a newer software version came up since the date of production. I guarantee that they both work and the only difference you'll notice is the numbers displayed in the proprietary software if you'll chose not to reflash.
@@VKBSim But you should really have a specific folder for specific Grip not just through them together and let 16 years old kids find out which one is which firmware for their sticks this is just stupid and irresponsible ...would take few minutes and space to create a Vkb nxt omni throttle folder and put the software inside that zip folder problem solved and do the same for other models

kmz version is the same as the main, but it's reversing x and y axes direction, if you need that.

kmz41 seems to be a sensor model, not sure what its significance is though.
I've just flashed the one without kmz41 in the name and it seems okay?

Hey, when I close the software, the past calibration just gets deleted. Do I have to have the software running at all times?
Definitely not. Get through the procedure again (without flashing) and make sure you're not skipping any steps.

I push a1 in but the led doesnt turn red and let my calibrate the stick a1?
The LED will turn on only if you have a Premium SCG grip; the Standard grip doesn't have a ministick, so it won't require calibration.

@@VKBSim My stick does not have the top, upside looking port of that photo. And I didn't imagine a 3pin cable fits into a 4 pin port. (So I did it wrong, although everything is working?) @@FreeErik It doesn't matter if the board looks different; most probably you have a newer version. But the devices should still be linked with the longer, 3 wire cable. The 4 wires cable is for interconnecting modules only.
this needs to be updated.. the new firmware packages include a designation option for kmz41 which makes no sense to me

During my calibration, when pressing button A1 the red LED did not light up and it did not enter analog axis mode. Is there any configuration for the A1 button to understand this command?
The ministick is present only on the Premium grips. If you have the Standard grip you could skip that part.

You need larger deadzones for the OTA, otherwise the firmware versions are identical.

Been trying to get the ministick to calibrate. The red LED never comes on after I press the mini stick like a button. the mini stick does not register on the Rot X or Rot Y axes. I can calibrate everything els though.
The ministick is present only on the Premium version of the grip. If you have the Standard version, then there's a hat switch instead of the ministick and that doesn't need calibration.
Thanks, now I have a problem with the game MSFS 2020 not recognizing the stick as a control option. I flashed and calibrating again to no avail. Any suggestions? Sorry for trying to turn this into a help desk I'm just a noob to this peripherals game. @@VKBSim

Did this to the letter but my buttons and pov on my KG12 stick do not work.
Z axis does register when I twist the stick.
Throttle is registering as Z axis.
I am getting a "device signature not correct - Flash fail" I am attempting to flash my Gladiator NXT that currently has 2.12.2 firmware on it. The device has been working fine but I just got another stick and was attempting to flash the old one to the new firmware. Any idea how to fix?
It means you're trying the wrong firmware. There are different firmware versions for NXT and NXT EVO; whatever works for one it won't work for the other: th-cam.com/video/NTZNUT8wmOA/w-d-xo.html

very disappointed with this. spend $400 to get mismatched and outdated software, and some obscure flasher.
Most of the phones needs to be updated too when picked up from store, same as motherboards, video cards and many other electronic devices. No company in this world won't open their whole stock if a newer software version came up since the date of production.
I guarantee that they both work and the only difference you'll notice is the numbers displayed in the proprietary software if you'll chose not to reflash.
@@VKBSim But you should really have a specific folder for specific Grip not just through them together and let 16 years old kids find out which one is which firmware for their sticks this is just stupid and irresponsible ...would take few minutes and space to create a Vkb nxt omni throttle folder and put the software inside that zip folder problem solved and do the same for other models
@@MILSIM530 Stupid and irresponsible? Did you find drugs inside, porn? It's just a zip file, chose the file as clearly indicated in the video, it's as simply as that. If you'll use the wrong file it just won't work, it won't brick or damage your device.
What about the left controller? You just showed how to do the right one.
