- Sorry no reaction today as of yet, this is just a quick video to explain a little bit about me and why I am enjoying doing these videos. I cover some basic information about my life currently, my mental health and why his music resonates with me, as well as a few other tidbits that I thought I should share. And a quick shout out to people watching over seas.

Thank you for being open. Please don't worry too much about labels like fan-girling or idolizing. Hua Hua is one of the beautiful lights shining brightly in the world today and I believe this is why we're attracted to him. The world needs this right now. Sometimes I don't like the word "fan" because it feels like what you said, one person idolizing another. With Hua Hua, it's a mutual love and appreciation so perhaps "Martian" would be a better fit. 😂😂 There are many of us. Most of us love watching the Chinese shows, too. Maybe you could just livestream sometime and we could all watch together. Martians are a wonderful group of people and we are fine with watching these shows over and over. LOL Have a great day!
I am just like you, never a fan of anyone. Hua is the first one that I follow, his music is main thing, but his way of interpreting world is also interesting.. so just relax, do whatever you feel like to do 😇😊

Same I’ve never been a fan, I listened to a lot songs of Queen as a kid but I never called myself a fan because there was also songs I didn’t like and I didn’t know as much about Queen. But ever since I found Hua Hua (I was 16), I’ve kind of been a fan of his, the only celebrity I’ve ever “followed” and I deliberately search for him and his shows, reactions or clips. I honestly don’t know why I’ve become a fan of him and of no one else before, it so mind blowing honestly. Even my sister thought I was being weird, because I’ve never acted like a fan or anything. But I’m not idolizing either so idk...

He's amazing. It's good to see that you can acknowledge that you're happy --- many people will not admit that. It's normal that we all have bad days and good days, it's good to see you're very opened.
Hua Chenyu by far is my favorite artist out there. I think idolizing and their idol is their pride, I'm sure they are happy to know that they have people looking up to them as they are public figures. Hua's personality is very interesting, sometimes even me who has been watching him from Super Boys can see him grow.
Ace vs. Ace is a game show/variety show, his performances on the show are usually not his songs but rather cover. Chinese artists do a lot of covers in respect of other artists/popular artists. It's interesting to see many versions. I can't remember correctly but Ace vs Ace has a lot of reunions of actors and actresses that are highly respected in the industry go on and have an emotional reunion. They love to joke around and it's interesting to have some laughs.
I have the same feeling with you. I am also resistant to idolatry in the pass but I can only say that I admire him very much including his amazing talents and personality. It's rare for a superstar to have the courage to open his heart to the public so sincerely. He didn't even conceal his weak side. Although he has come out of depression, he cares about those who are still in pain. He composed the song about depression in the hope that people can pay attention to those around them who needs help. In addition these, he has many songs to remind mankind to protect everything about the earth. He also encourages people to love and be true to themselves. Really an artist who always inspires people with positive energy. Of course it must be mentioned that he is a very hard-working musical genius is the obvious fact. All of the above are the reasons why I appreciate him so much. I don't define me as the relationship between fans and idols. Actually he is my only one favorite artist.
HCY is not just an artist; he is the art.

I am a big fan of this guy and you're talking about a 40 year old dude from LA. He is one who sings about life and its struggles. Very inspirational.
I never following up any artist so much, only enjoy the product of songs or drama/series. Hua Chenyu is the only one that I am keep on following.
I get introduced to him through news, reporting his arrangement of "my skateboard shoes" in the show in 2016. Watched the show and get interested with him and his music. Start watching back his Super Boy competition in 2013 and man, that interpretation of "親愛的小孩(Dear Child)" caught me, that is when I truly fell for it, for my whole life, that's the only performances that ever make me tears.
The more I get know to him and see the view or opinion he has during interview, I realized me and him is quite similar in a way. The different is he become more and more success but me, not so much. I enjoy watching him and happy for him.

Hua Chenyu English Subs AKA HCYES is a fan group of Hua Chenyu, and they translate Hua Chenyu's video into other languages and translate reactions to Hua CHenyu for Martians in China without making any money. They just want to let more people understand more of Hua Chenyu, not only his music but his personality.

"The Next" is a Chinese music variety show where contestants get to challenge judges who are famous musicians in a sing-off. The winner of the sing-off is determined by votes from the 400-member live audience. The challenged judge has to perform a song picked by the contestant and only has 24 hours to learn and rearrange the given song, while the contestant can sing a song of their own choice. Hua was a judge and mentor on the show and had a very high winning rate.

All contestants are girls, they will attain their "Strongest Brand Names" through constant progress. Hua Chenyu is one of the guest mentors. Through tasks, practices, exams, the contestants will grow under the guidance of the mentors and eventually produce the "Strongest Brands."

Thank you for so openly and articulately explain your fascination. I have read somewhere that for a shy person standing in the limelights is scary, but for people who are reserved it is not. That may explain why he is so comfortable on stage. You are doing a great job to spread the word. He is such a great artist and person.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and addressing concerns that some may have about you. You have been doing just great. You also help to open up about depression which few will discuss. Hua is a very interesting artist to get to know. You are very perspective in knowing what message he is trying to transcend in his songs. If nothing else you can react or watch on your own some of the interviews. It really will help you understand how his childhood influenced his music. Besides that you will also see a bit more of his personality. Just go with what you feel like and share your reactions what you wish to share.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, true that the times we’re living now are so weird, we’re getting to a New World, one of my favorite HuaHua songs and so fitted with what we’re going through.
I’m also not the fan girl type, never been. I just find HuaHua so interesting, his way of thinking is captivating, his music is unique and innovative, and the lyrics are always so interesting, he makes us sing out of the box. There’s only maybe 2 or 3 of his songs from his huge catalog I don’t like. I think what is different with Hua is we get to see his personality from all the different shows he participated in and he’s such a cute lovable person. With other singers, we only see them perform their songs, and they generally sing about love blabla 😄
If you’re going to react to shows or concerts, just break them in 15 or 20 minutes cuts.
You can react to 1 game or just the song in Ace for instance.
In Ace, Hua sings covers according to the theme of the episodes.
In The Next, Hua is challenged to rearrange songs from other artists in 24 hours.
In Singer 2018, as per the rules, Hua could only sing two of his own songs, the rest are rearrangements of other artists songs.
In Singer 2020, Hua sang only his own music, except one cover, song called Us, and the duet in final episode.
Before Hua Chenyu i only listened to music, never paid much attention to the artists themselves. I considered fandom / idolizing wierd. Still do, no offense to anybody. We are all unique. But i got so fascintated by this young chinese that i started doing research. First time ever. Now i find myself in a situation i find slightly uncomfortable yes. I feel i might know ( or think i know) too much. Theres a line there somewhere. So no more research into everything, i try to only watch music related stuff and some interviews. Love his music, listen continously to his songs and in that way im definately a Martian.
You are right about where to draw the line about how much is too much know about someone. As the saying goes careful what you ask as you may not like the answer. In Hua's case, I was the same about finding more about him which I rarely do about an musical artist. Watching his interviews really enlightened me to understand where and how he is influenced in composing his music and very inspirational. So was not disappointed in knowing him on a personal level.

And the more you understand him, the more attracted to him. He has many different personalities, and I like each one very much.

I know that Singer2018 might block these reactions, but would you give it a try and watch them again? Maybe pause and talk several times? And upload it with unlisted mode first. If it's safe, then change to public mode. Or the easiest way is that you don't need to put the singer's video on your screen, we can watch it with only audio and your reaction.

Thanks for choosing to share, but you don't owe any of us an explanation, or anything else for that matter. As to what else is out there, there are a lot of excellent singing groups and individuals out there, and all you have to do is ask and I(as well as many others, I'm sure) will be happy to send you links to lots of great stuff.
Also, there is a series HuaHua participated in that only has him singing two songs(Aliens at the very beginning of the first episode, and a duet of "I don't Care" he does with one of the contestants near the end of the series. Once you've reacted to Aliens and I Don't Care, you can watch that program, in which he(and five other mentors) help and judge young girls trying to break into the professional singing ranks, without worrying about messing up any reactions. If you watch this, you'll get an even better sense of just how serious HuaHua is about music.

I also don’t really idolize, especially around others but I might be more of a fan than you in a certain way. But I also never see an artist as “worth more” because I know my sister sees some kpop stars like some Gods who can do anything. I don’t do that, I also don’t “fangirl”, I’m not that kind of person. But I would certainly call myself a Martian, I love his music and became to like him as a person as well. Which was easier since I understand quite some Chinese. And tbh the first time I saw him I thought he looked weird, but that changed quite fast, maybe a bias after listening to his music

what can I say? gratss?？hhhhhhlol I am no fan of him as well, but just resonate and get inspired by his workpiece a lot, he can ignite my emotions and make me feel/reflect on things, just love this, so appreciate his talent and dedication.
