When you're out for so long you need to start your video by saying "Bobbin's doing fine" right away! :) So good to have you back!!
I loved this episode! I just now found it. I have been in a fiber creative slump for such a long time. I am itching to crochet or knit but haven’t found quite the inspiration I need.
Loved to see that little electric spinning wheel. ❤
So great to see you again, love the new kitties, I have a tuxedo as well, they are wonderful kitties. I did not catch their names? Love the granny square pillow.
Hi Dani, so wonderful to see you. You were always i e of my favorite podcasters.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a steadily cuddley kitty. Usually they get bored and start playing. 😂 so sweet! 🥹
They are such sweethearts! We are very lucky ... although right now Love is very busy attempting to scale the curtains so they are not always in a cuddly mood 😆
Wonderful to see you back❤ I'm looking forward to your new patterns 🎉
Ah that's lovely to hear, thank you!
Lovely to see you again Dani and hear all about your creative endeavours. I too have had a Spring/Summer slump but hopefully now autumn is here and I’m not gardening or beekeeping so much I’ll have some energy for crafting again🍂
Your little cuddly buddies are amazing. So glad to see you back. Love all the creativity. Your ri gs and bracelets are fabulous. Your mom is amazing. The electric wheel looks amazing. Hope to see the fruition of all your projects.
Hi Dani, here watching, your new kittens are adorable. Tracy from the jewellery workshops 💕
Ah hi Tracy, thanks for watching! Might you come to another class? There's one in October 💕
@@littlebobbinsknits3052I’d love to attend another class but I don’t have any holiday left unfortunately x
What sweet helpers you have! Your mum is the best! I didn’t knit anything until May this year, but sometimes that’s just how it goes. I tend to switch between the things that interest me and then the urge to knit comes back.
Your new socks are looking so pretty! I love the inspiration. Very sweet. You seem to be right back in the spinning groove. Your kittens are the sweetest. Nice to see you back here. Take care.
Thank you so much ☺️
So lovely to see you again, Dani! Looking forward to more of your sock patterns! ❤ Glad you are getting back into crafting! Love your sweet kitty additions too!
Thank you so much.
What’s nice surprise to see a new video from you! Your new kittens are sweet! It was fun to hear about your new creative outlets! I’m excited for your new sock patterns!
Thank you so much!
About to watch now but I want to say how excited I am to watch! ❤
Thank you so much ☺️
Lovely to see you back on screen! I've been thoroughly enjoying those little scarves that are in fashion. They don't take make yarn so you can play with different colours, or be a bit luxurious with your choices and they are the perfect snack size lace and/or cable project!
Thank you so much! Oh yes, I love when you find a pattern that you want to make hundreds of and can play with colour and texture - wonderful!
So nice to see you again and your projects. Glad you found your creative space again. The jewelry is fun and pretty. Looking forward to your new patterns.
Thank you so much ☺️
So lovely to see you back, you have been missed 💕 Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your new projects. I've been in a creative slump, and I miss not having something to pick up and work on. You totally inspired me to start some crochet and I've ordered the latest Attic 24 blanket pattern and kit so I don't need to do any thinking, I can just go for it 😊 I love the idea of going to a class and your rings are gorgeous. It's so nice to have a little bit more time to yourself once your little boy is at school (or nursery? I've lost track of time!) I think we all let out a collective sigh of relief when you said Bobbin was downstairs! Such a sweet boy ❤
Oh yay so happy to have inspired you to do some crochet, I hope it works its magic like it did for me. Is that the brand new attic 24? I'm so tempted!
We are home educating the little one. Lots of fun!
Yes little Bobbin is doing well, a little angel as always and very patient with the kittens 😄
@@littlebobbinsknits3052 yes it's the new pattern, it's called the Flowerpress blanket I think. How lovely to be home educating. I loved teaching early years and ks1 but eventually all the joy was sucked out of it by testing and too much focus on maths and phonics etc. There is so much more to the world for our little ones to explore, experience and learn 😊
Lovely to see you back Dani. I’m just coming out of a knitty slump, going on holiday to Scotland helped! I bought a pattern book and have already started a thistle blanket.
I find sorting though, organising and tidying my stash helps me rekindle my interest. This goes for art as well as yarn stuff. Enjoy the spinning! ❤
Thank you Tracey! Yes sorting definitely helps! At the moment my studio is getting used as a bit of a dumping ground, I really need to make some time to sort that out!
Glad you've got your knitty mojo back, is the blanket colourwork?
I was so excited to see you had posted a video, and you have made me feel creative again just by watching your enthusiasm 😊 Your milky chai socks are my favourite sock pattern so I can't wait to see your new one.
What a lovely surprise to see you here. Your creative brain will never be switched off for ever. With your lovely mum and Auntie Jack it’s in your DNA. Big hugs x
Ah thank you Kelly x
What a great surprise to wake up after night shift and see a new video from you. I am so excited for you on your new wheel. I can't wait to see what all you will spin up.
Thank you so much!
It's so nice to see you back!! You've been missed! I love the cushion cover you're crocheting. I'm mainly a knitter but i love to crochet off and on too. I'm knitting the Ruth shawl, dark blue with Old Pink lace. I'm glad you're doing well! Hope to see you again soon!
Lovely to see you back! Loving the crochet cushion so far ❤🥰🧶
So lovely to see you again! I haven't knit or crocheted much over the summer, but those urges are coming back with the cooler weather. I'd really like to finish a shawl that's been in the naughty corner for years! I just haven't had the brain space to tackle the mistake I made. So annoying as I'd done so much with no mistakes! X
Gah that's so frustrating. Sometimes a break from a project really helps. I hope you figure it out and get back on track with it 😊
Dani, I was so utterly thrilled to watch this video and have a good catch up with you! I am so excited about the new sock pattern you showed and really look forward to knitting it! Your new kitties are such precious loves! I have resisted spinning for so long bout 2025 is going to be my year. Last week I ordered some fiber and a drop spindle for myself for Christmas and I recently found a place that rents wheels near me so that is coming up. I'm so happy that you have pulled yourself out of your rut. I have had several periods like that over the last several years. Currently my knitting mojo is higher than it's been in ages and I cannot knit fast enough. I find when I'm in a rut, having a good sort out of my crafting supplies and space helps tremendously. My current project I am OBSESSED with is knitting a winter solstice wrap and I went through all of my yarns and scraps for very soft colors of pale pinks, beiges, creams and whites and liberal amounts of floofy yarn and I've gathered it all in a basket and just seeing the yarn together makes my heart want to explode with joy. I plan to randomly hold yarns together to create cozy, marls and colors. I haven't actually even started yet but I am so excited about it I can hardly wait to wrap up the couple of things I'm trying to finish before I cast it on.
I love hearing how excited you are about your knitting right now, your wrap sounds incredible! Please share how it's coming along. I'm so excited for you to try spinning too!
Nice to see you again, Dani! I enjoyed seeing what you’ve been up to and meeting your new family members ❤
Thank you so much ☺️
So glad to see you post Dani!! I was just thinking of starting a rewatch of your podcasts and the next morning saw this video pop up! Your kittens are adorable and love seeing Bobbin is doing good.
Ah that's so lovely, thank you Carey 😊
What a delightful surprise your new video was. Had to at lest start watching when I returned from my knitting group. Am so excited for your new patterns. Halloween socks and Autumn are a perfect combination.🍂🍁🧡
Thank you so much. I hope I can get the Halloween ones out in time ☺️
Love the socks and enjoyed your video 😊
I'm so pleased, thank you ☺️
Good to see you Dani. Funnily enough I have been watching some of your older videos for inspiration lately!! Look forward to more updates.
Ah that's lovely to hear, thank you so much.
Hi Dani. Lovely to see you back here. After almost a year of no creativity, because of moving house, grandchildren being born, plus my work changing, I am just getting back on track. Like you, I started with crochet, still on going, and giving myself challenges. I now have several things on the go - crochet, weaving, and slow stitch, and I can feel the 'calm' it gives me. If I can manage to fit some creativity into my day, even if only 10 minutes, I go to bed happy!! Take care.
Yes, I definitely relate to the calm it brings. So pleased it's coming back for you too!
A lovely catch up, thank you! If I get into a knitting slump, I try to do something entirely different such as cross stitch or embroidery or start a quilt. I love the sock pattern you’re designing and look forward to making it. Enjoy your spinning on your new e-Spinner. It looks so soothing. Take care.
Yes! A switch of craft really helps doesn't it! So pleased you like the pattern, thank you so much!
Loved seeing your podcast today! Yes, you have a wonderful Mum!
Thank you so much ☺️ I really do!
Thank you for being back 🎉 søsterne Grene is just the sisters Grene .. just sister in danish 🇩🇰😁
Oh lovely, thank you 😊
A long time ago, when I was a single mom, I realized how important being creative was to my well-being. I found I could force myself to sit down and draw or knit while chores were undone. After a while it did not bother me at all. When I took a break, I would do the dishes etc for 15 minutes, then get back to art. It’s a bit of a mental prison- these rules we make for ourselves.
You are absolutely right!
I have made 6 pairs of Primrose Pudding Socks. Just finished a pair to give to a friend. Can’t wait for that Whimsical Sock pattern if it is like Primrose Pudding. So much fun to stack 3 layers, ribbing, lace and plain knitting patterns. So unique! Also love the sock pattern based on your sweater as a child. So glad Little Bobbins is ok! Love your new friendly cats. Glad Teddy is also ok.
Oh that's amazing! I really hope you like these new ones!
Lovely podcast Dannie you are such an inspiration xx
Thank you Aunty Jack (you may be a little biased 😉) xx
Hi Dani, good to see you back. The new cats are lovely and your jewellery is amazing. I just got the Electric Eel Nano and it is so cute. The big one is definitely on my wish list.
Thank you so much! Oh yes the nano is so very cute and looks like so much fun. Are you enjoying it so far?
So nice to watch your video. Have missed you. Glad Bobbin is going ok. New kittens are adorable.
Thank you so much.
So lovely to find you here again! Your rings are gorgeous . As to the “barren patch”, I’m having one with my music - I play folk music in pubs and folk clubs and I haven’t had the confidence to play out for almost 5 years. So I’ve begun to listen to music again and I’ve booked a lesson with a lovely young chap who has taught me before and we have a lot of fun - on Skype would you believe! It just take that one nudge doesn’t it. I bought a second hand Electric spinning wheel - a lovely wooden Ashford one . I hit a low s-it with that after only a few weeks but I’m desperate to get back to it so I’m going to book a lesson with a local spinning tutor and the thought is really exciting and I’m all fired up again! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next time you post. Have a love,y week - or however long it is. x
So pleased you are tackling it head on and can get back to your music, that's wonderful! As for the spinning a teacher sounds like a great idea, or if you've got a guild nearby that could be a good place to try. Enjoy ☺️
Great to see you again and your new kittens my new kitten maltilda keeps eating my wool xx
Oh no! They are so cheeky but so much fun aren't they!
Yes shes adorable butter wouldn't melt eyes lol but worth it xx
I love spinning Falkland, I swear it practically spins itself.
That's great to know, I'm sure the one I'm spinning is a Falkland blend. I'm really excited to try some different breeds.
Dani I wanted to welcome you back You have been missed. Have not watched all of the podcast yet as it’s morning here and I am doing housekeeping but I will enjoy it tonight when I sit with my knitting Glad you are all well.
Oh thank you!
As I am watching, I am spinning away on my EEL shell. So much fun! And the battery lasts for weeks!
Oh amazing. I'm definitely going to order a battery. Do you have a bag for yours? I'm wondering how best to safely take it out and about.
Your BACK!!!!!!
😄
I just took five dish towels off the loom they are my first
Oh wonderful! I would love a loom literally just to make dish towels, there is something so cosy and comforting about them and they just get softer and lovelier with use. Enjoy them!
Started a Knitted Pinwheel blanket. Some squares will be pinwheel and the others with be garter stitch blocks. Also I love working on my Battenburg blanket and my Speckled Squares Blanket - crocheted Linen Stitch motif block blanket - look up the pattern. It is addictive to work on and uses leftover bits and bobs.
Is it the linen stitch quilt blocks? That looks lovely!
@@littlebobbinsknits3052 No. it is like the Cozy Memories block only in the crocheted linen stitch.
Hi Dani, thank you for sharing. Best wishes
Thank you for watching!
Huge hugs hunni ❤ love you lots
It was such a treat to see you on Sunday ☺️
