I am watching this video on Christmas Eve. How many of us remember waking up on Christmas morning, barely able to contain our excitement, to discover the most beautiful & lovely, absolutely perfect doll under the spectacular Christmas tree? I hope all of you reading, have experienced that feeling at least once in your life. And if not, there is plenty of time to find that perfect doll for yourself today. Merry Christmas to everyone.
Thank you again for the wonderful doll and toy show. The video is slow and professional to see all you narrate. Your knowledge sure helps to know what we are looking at!😊
These videos are very soothing to watch, I hope some day to go to doll shows like this- so many gorgeous older dolls to look at, and bears! The puppies 😍
Oh how I love going along with you to a doll show!! You do such a great job telling us who the dolls are. Just love that. I live where there are no doll shows and don't even know anyone else who collects dolls. I'm on my own here, so love going to the doll show with you! Thank You, Take Care
Thank you so much! When I first started making videos, I thought, my voice is so annoying, nobody's going to watch! But some seem to like my weird New England accent.
Great video! I have not been to a doll show in many years. I guess I am what you would call an eclectic collector. I hope one day I will be able to add one of those lovely German or French antique dolls to my collection. The oldest doll I have is a 1927 Effanbee baby doll. The newest are the first wave of Shibajuku Girls made by Madeleine Hunter of Australia. These dolls were inspired by Japanese street fashions and are very whimsical with their blue and pink hair and big glass eyes. They are similar to the high end Pullip and Blythe dolls out there but far more affordable! I also like the Ever After High Dolls and I am so glad I was able to collect most of the original first series of these dolls because Mattell no longer makes them. I love Barbie too. Two of my favorite in my collection are Lucy and Ethel working in the candy factory and Marlo Thomas as "That Girl". I also have the country singer Martina McBride Barbie doll and 80's pop icons Cindy Lauper and Debbie Harry from the group "Blondie" Barbie dolls which represent my generation! My latest Barbie acquisition was the Empress Sissy Kaiserin of Austria which I bought myself for my birthday this year. I could go on here but I think this post is already long enough! Thanks again for posting! Wishing you a blessed and beautiful Easter!
Ah, finally found the comment part! I'm so thrilled to have found your fun and informational TH-cam videos! The restringing celloid dolls might come in handy. Love the Doll shows that give us a virtual tour of so many kinds of dollies. And your doll lots are helpful as your a wealth of info! Sharing these with my recent Doll Club friends. Do you sell online, in a shop, or store? Do you repair others dolls or just yours that need it? How about making clothes? I also an enjoy your soothing accent, reminds me of my SIL!! Keep the videos coming! Thanks so much!
Hi Michele, I mostly sell through my Etsy shop, which is VtgDollCloset. There is a direct link on my website, vintagedollcollector.com. The website also has blog posts about various dolls. I used to repair other people's dolls but now just do my own. And I don't even have time for that! Thanks for the kind words!
Nice video! How much do those vintage Madame Alexander dolls typically go for (in good condition)? Like that Polly doll. I’m going to my first doll show in the spring, so I’d like to know what to expect. I’m also in New England, so I’ll need to find more doll shows to go to.
I paid $100 for my Polly but I bought it from a friend so I got a good deal. You can get them cheaper on eBay depending on condition. The next show at the Dedham Holiday Inn is April 5, 2020. There are also shows in Sturbridge MA if that is closer for you.
Wow, I really LOVED this Doll and Teddy Show:)!! Although as an Adult I like to collect plush toys, I was impressed with all the Dolls:). I do still really love Dolls and your video has reminded me of that. I have saved some of my Dolls from my Childhood, like my Snow White Madame Alexander Doll, 2 Effanbee Dolls ( Kathleen dressed in Victorian outfit and a Brides Maid Doll), Raggedy Andy Doll, Holly Hobby Doll, 4 Strawberry Shortcake Dolls, 4 Barbie Dolls, Sasoon Ginny Doll, and I might still have my Rosebud Doll:). I also have my Mom's old Bride Doll from the 1950s that she gave me as a Child. In your video of this Spring 2019 Doll and Bear Show, I really LOVED all those Steiff Teddy Bears, other Steiff Stuffed Animals, Duck with Bunny Ears, and the Blue Teddies by Danny Bears:)!! I also loved all those Vintage Barbie Dolls:)!! Thanks for sharing this really lovely Doll and Teddy Bear Show:)!!
