Your videos make me smile. Once I get the alert that you've posted, I quite literally drop everything to watch it. You're inspiring me with my own TH-cam channel going through a transition right now. Thank you for your time to put together videos ❤
it’s beautiful comments like yours that keep me going 🤍 thank YOU for the amazing support 🥰 i’m happy to have inspired you in some way! it is my absolute pleasure to be sharing these cozy moments with likeminded people who appreciate them 🥹🤍🤍
Everyday I go to your socials checking if you have a new video out cause they always fix my mood even if I had a horrible day and the way you annotate and journal really inspire me for the future and helped me realise what I like! Thank you for making great videos!!🏵️
Another wonderful video! The art in "Wonderling" was so eye-catching, I absolutely had to put it on my TBR. And the fairyloot books! Beautiful editions (I really need to finally read that series, might be perfect for Nov, hmm). Finally got the Spellshop today and seeing you annotating and gushing has me so pumped for it; can't wait to squeeze it in amidst homework and additional reading for my graduate classes, should be the perfect change of pace from that. Again, thanks for uploading. Always great to relax and watch your content! (Also, seeing the cake threw me since I was ALSO eating a small slice of chocolate cake with that exact coloring and frosting lol perfect timing I guess)
i can’t wait to read The Wonderling too!! i love the art so much 🥰🥰 ahhh yes!! i am excited for you to read The Spellshop 🍞🍯 it’s the perfect break time read to unwind from homework hehe. so glad you could enjoy the video! and oh that’s sooo cute 😂🤍🤍 it’s like we’re eating chocolate cake together while unwinding! love it 😆✨
I have so much hesitation when it comes to annotating my books. I have always felt that writing in or dog earing books is blasphemy as an avid reader. Books are precious and should be kept pristine! I get anxiety when there are finger prints or even food flecks on the pages. (Probably stems from being a low-income household where library books were my main source of reading.) The most I would possibly do is circle a page number when there's something I liked. Very LIGHTLY circle. Also, I feel that if I ever re-read the book (maybe I should say WHEN I re-read, haha. I always do), I want a fresh perspective on it. I don't want past impressions to get in the way of new ones. HOWEVER. Our dear Cath has slowly been changing my mind on this matter. I have seen the merit of having digital copies of books as well as physical copies (and the VERY beautiful special additions too, of course) in recent years after several times moving and physical books being in storage boxes. The digital copies are always kept free of any notes. But the way Cath's spreads are so colorful and the little doodles and notes in the margins make it look more like a reading journal and to be able to remember how I felt during those passages is a little like a diary. So THANK YOU CATH, for sharing your love of annotating and books and doodling. You've made me a BELIEVER
Loved the reading journal spread decoration montage Cath. So many of these reads are in my tbr so I'm so happy to see that you've loved them all. Your spreads are just so beautiful and really capture the themes and feeling of the books. Another cute and cozy vlog, thank you Cath for all the work you put into these vlogs. I love that they're so long! 🥰💖💖
This was the coziest video I've watched in a while 🤗🤍 thank you! 🧡 I'm new here and I absolutely LOVE it!! 🥰 All the pretty books, and some new recommendations!!😁 Love the journalling also 😍 Can't wait to watch some more of your content! ❤
I'm so glad you loved Jady City😃I read the entire Green Bone Saga last year and it absolutely blew me away. I will now read anything Fonda Lee writes! Thank you for continuing to create such amazing and relaxing content ☺
i am SOOO excited to read the rest of the series! i hear it gets better and i am not prepared for how good it’s going to be 😂🤍 so happy to hear that you love it! 🥰 it’s my pleasure, i’m glad you enjoy my content 🥹
I’ve always wanted to know from people who read a lot of physical books on how they store their books? What happens when your collection is bigger than the space you have especially if you annotate in them and they can’t be sold later on? I would love a video talking about that or perhaps a book tour? 😊
Okay, I have to say that I read Katherine Arden's The bear and the nightingale trilogy in 2022 and they were among my favorite books of the year. It's so magical, the characters are amazing and you can't help but root for them! It's so full with Russian folklore, the vibes are absolutely like a darker fairy tale. I was VERY emotionally invested while reading it, stil am to be honest. Stunning books!
thank you sooo much! 🥰 yes! here is a small list: - The Hatmakers by Tamzin Merchant - Anne of Green Gables - How Do You Live? - Archibald Find and The Lost Witches
What a cozy video! I followed the mention of The Spellshop here. I just received it today, and didn't remember preordering it, but it sounds like something I'm going to enjoy, according to your description of it. Thanks for providing links to so much of what you use too
Such a delight, Cath! Put two of these books on hold at the library to try. 🥰♥️ Do you have recommendations for where to get Studio Ghibli stationary/stickers/washi?
ahh i’m so happy to hear that, amy! 🥰 it’s hard to find shops that do these consistently as studio ghibli is pretty hard with copyright striking! i reckon etsy is your best bet, though i hear small businesses getting flagged for their ghibli products all the time 😢
I'm watching YOU and Katherine Karas while eating, too! :D Still, your videos I watch repeatedly -- I like warmth, gloom is not my aesthetics really, but she is so beautiful to listen and watch too. You girls are so good with video-making!
I am really not a fan of books around WWI or WWII but the warm hands of ghosts...well it's one of my top 3 books of the 2024 so far. It was incredible!!! ( I also loved the entire Winternight trilogy and so jealous of this edition haha)
Enjoy your videos very much. Espicially your journal spreads. Where do you find most of your stationary and stickers from? Will definitely read the books you recommended. Thanks for a cozy video on this rainy evening for us. 🤎📖☕️
i’m so happy to hear that!! 🥰🤍 most of my stationery and stickers are from journalsay!! :) i did two huge unboxings in my channel so a bulk of my collection cane from there hehe. yayy!! so glad you enjoyed the video 😍🌧️✨
Where do you guys buy your stickers ? I can't seem to find an serious online shop that isn't working with children or where I have to worry if the package arrives. I'd love to hear some recomendations ! Also, I love your videos, they have such an calming vibe and your Journal looks so pretty !
Hi Cath, here in Brazil we are also in winter. 😢But there's no snow. a feather. 😢because my dream is to see snow. a kiss from Brazil.❤ I love your videos. I've seen them all😂❤
I wish "The Spellshop" had been released already, we could have shared it with the girst in the discord, don't you think? such a cosy and fun book, even with its dark themes... I wish we could have read it together and not just you and me. It was great but it could have been even better
I am a really big annotator, too. I'm wondering, do you annotate one edition, but then leave the special editions "clean"? I'm asking because I'm trying to figure out a system that satisfies my requirement for annotating😅, while, in my case, building a Family Library that will hopefully last for generations, and I'm starting to deal with this by purchasing two copies (used) of every great book that I read😂😭🤔
Well, fudge...I stopped work to watch your video during a coffee break, and now I just want to work on my journal and read instead of going back to the tasks I need to complete. 😅 📓🖌📖 Some nice gifts from publishers! If you ever want to cross over from the fantasy genre into magical realism, you would probably like Alice Hoffman's books. I think you would particularly enjoy The Probable Future. It's about a family where at 13, all the women develop the ability to see the future.
Your videos make me smile. Once I get the alert that you've posted, I quite literally drop everything to watch it. You're inspiring me with my own TH-cam channel going through a transition right now. Thank you for your time to put together videos ❤
