Hay Alex can you use the old Battery Contactors off the Stock Traxxis ESC with and solder them to the Hobbywing ESC so you can still use Traxxis Batteries ???
I just use my caliper measuring tool it is 10 gage it don't like like it because the insulation is thin but the wire is actually 10 gage check it. But my problems is the trx plug and not for 10 it's for 12 gage

That's true bro it's 12gage wire traxxas connectors can't 10 gage wire cause the limit on there plugs are 12gage max. Anything lower then 12 gage like a 10gage is a risk of burning out there wires and capacitors this is why most people ha e burnt esc cause of that. Lol great video by the way.

that ESC looks a lot like the ESC that comes factory in the dbxle. I swapped mine out for a max5 ESC a while back. big difference. Is the dynamite ESC in the buggy a rebranded max6? nice video man you're very informative.

There's nuthing wrong with using power tools just don't tighten them up you run the screw down and finish up by hand ! I have been running hobbywing for 13 years and I think they are the best you can get for the money!

I have traxxass 4 s batterys so a little hard to figure out how to make transition. love your vids.
Why didn't you take off the top Rail and get it out of your way makes it so much easier it's only six screws instead of fighting with it like you are much easier way doing that
Frederico Ventura no you CAN'T use traxxas connectors I would NEVER recommend that traxxas connectors are only rated at 60 amps max personally I love the castle creations 6.5mm connectors 200amp constant connector absolutely awesome connectors you could also use xt150 connectors
I have 2 4s 6700 traxas ID batteries w/ez live charger package w/xmaxx8s truck coming in a week, do I have to change the plugs on batteries to connect to Max 6 esc.

Jason Cortes I chose the hobbywing Max 6 for this truck pacifically because I wanted to only use the stock motor I still right now do not have any interest in upgrading the stock motor I just did not like the stock speed control it was pretty doggy to me I still have never even driven this truck after I installed this speak control it's never been driven after that it's basically turned into a shelf Queen at the moment but for you I would strongly recommend just putting a hobbywing Max 6 if you want to keep the stock motor long-term or if you ever in the future at all have any inquiry of upgrading the motor of the truck to more bigger more powerful motor then I would strongly recommend putting a max5 and cuz in the long run you're saving a lot of money
Tim Osness Hello thanks for watching the video and yes the hobbywing max 6 ESC can run 3s all the way to 8s lipo batteries I recommend running a minimum of 6s lipo with at least a minimum of 50c Continuous discharge it's 19lbs out of the box 4s would be working pretty hard to move the X maxx around

That terminal on the esc is for lights can be controlled by esc power up not a programmer port

Yes you do loos the telemetry but gain more power reliability and more tuning options

10awg wire is bigger then 12 awg. 1 awg is the biggest getting smaller as the number increases.

You can buy traxxas connector for it ! I think they sell the esc with the trx connector already installed not shore I use xd 90 on every thing!

3.2v/cell is LOW. I would avoid going that low if at all possible. I like to stop at 3.6.

Alex I noticed a fuse on the side of the ESC. Is that fuse replaceable?
