Lining in Russia, it's very important for me to see a foreigner fucking baffled by it. It helps me see, that I don't live in a normal situation. I swear, it used to different. The "I'll surely go to prison for this" mentality never went away out of my life, but there was a time I wasn't so scared. I want to cry every time I realise how scared I actually am every day. It's not normal. It can be different.
Yes, it could be different. A world without hate IS possible. Not everyone is there yet, obviously, but we are creating it. You are not alone. We're all in this together! Peace, love, & revolution 💜🫶✨️
You do not live in a normal situation! This is not the world. 10% of the population (and how about relatives and friends) oppressed in a way I thought only by countries like where women wear burkas and are never seen in public or go to school. Oppression in Russia for such a natural human experience as being gay is more criminal than vice versa. Hope that makes sense. I had no idea this still existed and I’ll show this to my gay and straight ally friends (which would be everyone I know).
Living in Russia, I have already lost hope, unfortunately most people think so, and most of them leave Russia, my relatives left it because of the start of the war,I plan to go to them after finishing my studies, if the government in the US doesn't change and everything is fine.
I am a teenage girl from St. Petersburg and sometimes I cry when I realize that soon I will leave Russia because I cannot love openly. It’s just awful to see and hear every day that more and more young people are leaving Russia because of fear for their future and their lives. And I don't think this situation can change anytime soon.
Oh my God it's HORRIBLE, I REALLY FEEL FOR THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY IN RUSSIA, I'M HETEROSEXUAL,but I BELIEVE IN PEOPLE'S RIGHTS, and IF I WAS GAY, I WOULDN'T LIVE IN A COUNTRY LIKE THAT! , THAT'S VERY INHUMAN, AND SAVAGE, I WOULDN'T EVEN VISIT A COUNTRY LIKE THAT! IT'S HORRIBLE! ,

There’s science studies that prove human sexuality is complex and it’s impossible to say what influenced the sexuality of each individual person. What if some people do choose their sexuality? Does it mean that homophobes and other LGBT-haters have the moral right to dictate other people what kind of sexuality they should have?
I don't believe it's a choice. But in my country gay rights and other minority rights have been used to stifle the majority and stifle free speech and thought Edit: I could get cancelled if I say that every child deserves to be raised by their biological mother and father. Not gay parents. Not through surrogacy or gay adoptions
Okay, I’m a bisexual woman from Russia living in a small town (small towns tend to be much more conservative and homophobic, so here you can’t tell anyone about your orientation, not even family or close friends, otherwise there’s a risk the whole town will find out). I can’t start a relationship with a woman because it’s simply DANGEROUS for me, and I could be beaten or even killed, there are many such cases in our country. No one in this country has rights, even if you’re a white cis-hetero man, you’ll just be sent to die in a war. But our LGBT fellows have it 100 times harder just because of their existence. I’ve always been amazed by conservative homophobic Americans who praise Putin for his ideology and the inhumane laws he promotes. Well, if you like it so much, you can always come to live in Russia, though for some reason none of them do. Remember that when the government infringes on the rights of an oppressed group of people that everyone hates, it will start taking away all the remaining rights you have, just like what’s happening now in Russia.

@@coreywhat Actually, no. There are laws in Russia that prohibit extremist activity. However, Russian court (which is not justiceful at all and is under the control of Putin) considers any opposition as extremism. For example, Fond Bor'by s Korruptsiyey (Anti-Corruption Foundation) and Shtaby Naval'nogo (Navalny's headquarters) (network of Alexei Navalny's (Russian opposition leader from early 2010s to his murder in 2024) team and supporters), Ya/My Furgal (I/We Furgal) (movement of support of illegally imprisoned governor of Khabarovsk krai Sergey Furgal due to him being fairly elected instead of pro-Putin candidate, fairly doing his job, and being more popular than Putin in Khabarovsk krai. Supportes of this movement demand for release of Furgal and resignation of Putin), And LGBTQ+ community as well. So there is a penalty for participating in extremist organisations, founding extremist organisations, showing exremist symbolic, and financing extremist organisations. If you are not straight or/and cisgender, you'll definitely break the law in some of this cases just by the fact of your existance. And there are people who already suffered from this. Here are some examples Anastasia Ershova was arrested for 5 days for wearing LGBT+ flag earrings Alexander Klimov, Diana Kamil'yanova, and Vyacheslav Hasanov were arrested as an art-director, administrator, and owner of queer club Pose in Orenburg. They can be sentenced up for 10 years in prison Unknown person (probably Ilya Zhuravlyov, but the source cannot be checked). His case details are unknown, but he is formally arrested due to participating in extremist organisation.
It seems to me that this community in different countries goes from one extreme to another. In some countries the community is completely accepting and tolerant, but at the same time commercialized and created for the sake of business, and in others, on the contrary, it is extremist and cruel. It seems that the only choice of this community is either to give money to business, or to be completely banned. This is sad - because we need balance and peace of mind that one does not discriminate against the other. And unfortunately, there are few countries that adhere to balance.

Fixating on people’s differences is a sign that the person has not developed mentally. Fortunately this is a minority in Russia. However this hatred has been monopolized by religious organizations and others that seeks to benefit from them. Whom people choose to love is none of anyone else’s business. 😂
they refer to religion as justification of discrimination and desire to kill gay people, but for some reason they forget that killing is strictly prohibited by that very religion and that god promotes the idea of loving and respecting everyone. Only god can judge people for their sins, no one else can. Such double standards make these people sound very stupid and confused.

I think sometimes the powers that be at a national level (i.e. leader of a nation) makes the simplest of things far more complicated and a burden than they need to be. Focusing on such attributes in a certain demographic within that society is at best, short sighted, at worst - unfair, undeserved, and unjust. For the record, I'm a card-carrying heterosexual, female, nearly 60 years of age, born n bred, living, and will eventually die, in Australia. As a mother ( 2 sons 29yo and daughter 26yo) I can deeply and sincerely say I could not care less what they choose in terms of their sexuality (for the record also, 1 son hetero, 1 daughter hetero, 1 son asexual). My judgement - as with anyone I meet regardless of circumstance - is are they a good person? Do they live by generally accepted, respectful values? Contrary to the doctrines of my own upbringing, I don't give a toss if they do or don't subscribe to any religious doctrine. The so called Ten Commandments are not necessarily a Christian governance - living by them just makes you a decent person whatever faith or not you believe in and/or live by. Born in 1965 in Seymour, Victoria (Australia). The things in your life that make you stand out different to others - whoa. I am an 'only child' - that once got me loads of sympathy "... oh wow, how can you live not having a brother or sister ... how will you cope - your parents are so SELFISH!" (Not their choice. Mum had a medical condition that destroyed her hopes of having a bigger family). I was an 'only child' - OMG but how that wound up biting me in the ass "you only got ONE set of parents hahahaha I'm on my THIRD!!!". Even WORSE - I was (and despite aging considerably) - AM, a REDHEAD - yes! I am a RANGA! ... Face it, if it wasn't either of those two points, kids will search far and wide and if they don't come up with anything tangible will just invent something to justify their perception of you being DIFFERENT. I got picked on about my surname. The street I lived in. The type of dog we had .. in the vernacular of my 2020 something kids, WHAT THE*EVA!!! Sadly, despite their millenium-ages long belief "they know best", "adults" are often no better. That is very, very sad. You'd think as mature, life-experienced adults who have had more than enough opportunity to see what really matters, and really ... we have much more significant things to moan about. Ok, having come through all of that so called life or character building rot, living in 2024 and seeing what apparently leads online community "news" (??!) at best lunatic armchair laptop self-promoted "experts" on the subject, when it comes to ABC ... DF... LBQT WHATEVER, I do not feel that criteria worthy of prominence in judging any person - any more than the colour of their hair, their place in the family lineage, their religeon, creed, whether they are purple with yellow spots. All I expect, as a member of a community, a society, is that we our lives demonstrating humankindness, tolerance for any perceived or actual difference in others, leaving such judgement to our human betters i.e., whatever God or deity one does or maybe does not believes in. There is not, nor will there be, a mere mortal human being equipped to do so. All we can do is use our humankind gifts as nest we can "for the greater good". I wish the world to coexist in harmony, working as best we can towards our common goals as human beings. Life on this very unique, very limited in resources planet, requires ingenuity and respect for a global community - there is no moral place for any belief of uniqueness or higher entitlement over others. The majority of us can work with that. We are pretty much entry level humans. We're average. Barely making minimum wage, just living day by day. Nothing special. Our vision for our future is simply that there be no problem in having our basic humankind needs met by those in power to make that happen. Sadly, we are reliably disappointed by the values and purpose of those in such a position, who typically use their privilege to make sure their own needs are met above and beyond the needs of those who elect them for whom they achieve a position in the world capable of meeting such need, My God, what a diabolical abuse of privelege that is. I absolutely HATE having to enunciate this, but seriously - keep our minds above navel level, there is more to judge a person by. Look at your felllow human as a partner in life's journey, whichever milestone or touchpoint you meet them. Give, and do, as you would like others to give and do for and to you. Nothing biblical about it - just humankindness and decency. The world is facing so many terrible, gut wrenching, soul searching realities. It is not about how many luxury yachts we own, how many different holiday venues we have. It's about recognising the challenges humankind face - as a global community, and how each of us can contribute towards that vision of global wellbeing. Who we share our sheets (or hearts) with, should never, ever be a criteria by which we judge people. Come on. We're supposed to be the most intellligent form of life on this planet - we're embarrasssing ourselves. We must be better than that. Or we can simply resign ourselves to accept that without a better attitude to humankind and the Earth we call home is set up to fail, and that is on us.
The film is from 2017. Hard to believe, but now homophobia in Russia has a systematic nature. In this film, only the law against 'gay propaganda among children ' is mentioned. Now, there is also the law about 'gay propaganda in general ', the law that prohibits any attempts for any type of transgender transition and the law that considers everyone who belongs to the community an extremist. There is no way you have an LGBT taxi or a queer fest in Russia now. If you are worried to see what is happening in the film, imagine now that the current situation is much worse. People commit suicide or have to leave Russia massively. If you publish a film in 2024 that was actually filmed in 2017, it's good to at least add an update in the beginning or the end of it to let people know what's going on now and not like almost 8 years ago.

We humans we have the autonomy over our own life and we should be free of being who the fuck we want to be we shouldn’t be asking for permission on any government or person or religion to be how we want to be or accepting how we are and want to live because everybody should be worrying about their business. Repressing things doesn’t stop them just hide the reality but those “kids” will grow and find the truth

You're misleading your audience at this point. You HAVE TO indicate that this is an old documentary, and the situation has changed A LOT. Not only there are no queer festivals in question, you can be easily arrested in the middle of the street for wearing, like, a rainbow scarf. Any medical and legal gender transition is banned, and now transgender people have to revert to illegal access to HRT. Being queer is quite literally banned. Moreover, if you're childfree, you're banned too. Banned from existing, that is. Can you imagine living in such a shait state like that? That's where I'm waking up every day.
Visibility encourages people, especially young people, to question and wonder beyond thinking there's something wrong with them and that they are the only.ones. One of the best things to come from the Internet is the ability to find other people who have qualities in common.
Very well done. Less opinion and just hanging out and talking to the actual people. Even in Canada we are seeing the "propaganda" angle being used against LGBT people.
Do we have many English speakers in Russia? I have never seen anyone dancing in the street in folk nostum, the exception being some holidays and events.Often children are forced to say what is wanted of them, for example in schools before a commission, etc.😢
In the US if you don't agree with LGBT ideology you can get in trouble with the government, the company you work for or other citizens. Here you are "canceled" if you say ANYTHING anti LGBT

To me a HOMOPHOBIC IS A PERSON , WHO'S INSECURED ABOUT HIS SEXUALITY, THERE'S NO REASON TO HATE AND MISSTREAD ANYBODY BECAUSE HE/ SHE SEXUALITY, I'M HETEROSEXUAL AND I DON'T HATE ANYONE FOR BEING GAY , I'M VERY SECURE ABOUT MY OWN SEXUALITY, THAT'S VERY INHUMAN, VERY HORRIBLE, AND I CAN'T UNDERSTAND , THAT STILL IN 21 CENTURY, STILL SO IMMATURE, HATEFUL AND INHUMAN PEOPLE , IT'S SICKENING

Lining in Russia, it's very important for me to see a foreigner fucking baffled by it. It helps me see, that I don't live in a normal situation. I swear, it used to different.
Absolutely agree, I'm gay, and I'm free the same. Love wins ❤

It’s 2024 and people still believe people choose this. As if they want to be rebuked, hunted, harassed, and assaulted.
There’s science studies that prove human sexuality is complex and it’s impossible to say what influenced the sexuality of each individual person. What if some people do choose their sexuality? Does it mean that homophobes and other LGBT-haters have the moral right to dictate other people what kind of sexuality they should have?
@@lesoleciaborisovaI don’t think sexuality is a choice. No person just chooses who they are attracted to.

There are laws in Russia that prohibit extremist activity. However, Russian court (which is not justiceful at all and is under the control of Putin) considers any opposition as extremism.
For example, Fond Bor'by s Korruptsiyey (Anti-Corruption Foundation) and Shtaby Naval'nogo (Navalny's headquarters) (network of Alexei Navalny's (Russian opposition leader from early 2010s to his murder in 2024) team and supporters),
Ya/My Furgal (I/We Furgal) (movement of support of illegally imprisoned governor of Khabarovsk krai Sergey Furgal due to him being fairly elected instead of pro-Putin candidate, fairly doing his job, and being more popular than Putin in Khabarovsk krai. Supportes of this movement demand for release of Furgal and resignation of Putin),
And LGBTQ+ community as well.
So there is a penalty for participating in extremist organisations, founding extremist organisations, showing exremist symbolic, and financing extremist organisations. If you are not straight or/and cisgender, you'll definitely break the law in some of this cases just by the fact of your existance. And there are people who already suffered from this. Here are some examples
Anastasia Ershova was arrested for 5 days for wearing LGBT+ flag earrings
Alexander Klimov, Diana Kamil'yanova, and Vyacheslav Hasanov were arrested as an art-director, administrator, and owner of queer club Pose in Orenburg. They can be sentenced up for 10 years in prison

If you publish a film in 2024 that was actually filmed in 2017, it's good to at least add an update in the beginning or the end of it to let people know what's going on now and not like almost 8 years ago.

im gay and i live in small town nearby krasnodar. its horrible
I have to say, Lenin wasn't responsible for soviet government opression on lgbt people back then. It was Stalin who started it. I think, Putin and his friends in government have a real sympathy with Stalin politic views
I would be much more afraid of being black in Russia than gay.
I think it's about vibes and energy. If you go to a different country where the main ethnicity is not your own, then if you are scared, then it will come across in your body language. Confident, well dressed, resilient and energetic people will probably enjoy their time more.
The big problem is that the majority have no plans to leave Russia.
In European countries, LGBT representatives make up about 10% of the population, let’s assume that in Russia the same number, respectively, almost all of the 14 million people remain in Russia and suffer discrimination
I highly doubt the LGBT populations are as high as 10 percent in western countries. If you ask young people that live in cities you'll get a higher figure than the national average
Great work again Mr. Reggie. It is great that you speak to both sides..and shared time so both sides can be heard.❤
i live in ruussia whole my life and i saw a lot of videos about homophobia here, i know so many people who hates LGBTIQA+. however, i am in shock after this video. it was just a mounth ago!! it is our reality and i don't believe my eyes everything is disgusting. i am just dreaming about moving in other country after graduating
This is an outdated doc, it was filmed in 2014
You're misleading your audience at this point.
Love LGBTQIA+ from BANGLADESH

Visibility encourages people, especially young people, to question and wonder beyond thinking there's something wrong with them and that they are the only.ones. One of the best things to come from the Internet is the ability to find other people who have qualities in common.
This is an old footage. It’s impossible in 2024 to hold a queer festival or put rainbow flags on cars and staircases.
Idk I just used to live in homophobic country and its impressive for me to live in NOT homophobic contry, mb one day I’ll move to America
Russia = Saudi arabia = Brunei darussalam = Nigeria
I'm sorry but "I'll cut your ears off and put them in your pockets" is hilarious 😂
Very well done. Less opinion and just hanging out and talking to the actual people. Even in Canada we are seeing the "propaganda" angle being used against LGBT people.
People are sick of the moral superiority of leaders like Trudeau and his drive for lgbt
This video so spoiled like a milk. Russia even worse now
Do we have many English speakers in Russia? I have never seen anyone dancing in the street in folk nostum, the exception being some holidays and events.Often children are forced to say what is wanted of them, for example in schools before a commission, etc.😢
In the US if you don't agree with LGBT ideology you can get in trouble with the government, the company you work for or other citizens. Here you are "canceled" if you say ANYTHING anti LGBT
So sad to realize that the hate is still there, even in 2024...
By the way, all kinds of hate need to be stopped on social media.
🤡
@@Yantarss it's not hate, it's saying the truth, two genders and a woman is made for a man.
I am transgender. I just live with the idea that one day I will leave this place...
