    Thank you. Just bought a total gym and did my first workout using this video. Enjoyed it. I really like that I can "cheat" with my feet on the ground if I really need to, easier than adjusting the height to finish a rep.

    if this is really your first day, you should probably limit the workout to one basic set for each muscle, or your muscles will be on fire tomorrow. Mounting the machine for different moves is a small learning curve, thanks for the demos. Great workout

    Our total gym just arrived today, thanks to you for helping decide on it, along with content like this with form discussions and showing possibilities. Initial impression is that I really like the feeling of movement while exercising, I never got that feeling with weights, somethingI enjoy while running. I have resistance bands on the way to supplement legs, and for use while traveling.

    I use the total gym as my second exercise. I start off by warming up the chest with a light, medium, and high setting of 4-6 reps each. I then hit the incline dumbbell press until failure. I immediately return to the Total Gym and finish my chest with a rest-pause set for 6 intense reps! It's modeled after Mike Mentzer's heavy-duty training.

    Great video! I got a total gym years ago and use it on and off but wanted to start using it everyday to strengthen my upper body to help with posture correction. Thank you for this video and also your views on the TG.

    I appreciate this video. I just got my total gym and do better with specific exercises to do. I am an old guy and was going to exercise 3 times a week. I have not searched your channel but do you have the same thing for the lower body? Now I am thinking one day upper and the next day lower with the weekends off. Thanks again .

    Hey Mike how often do you do cardio during the week I purchased The total gym 3 weeks ago I workout Mon Wed and Friday Tues and Thursday I do abs and cardio 20 minutes I am 54 years of age thank you for the videos I love my Total Gym

      You're catching me a good time because prior to about a week ago I really took a hiatus from cardio since the start of summer. But after getting a new indoor bike and running/walking outside again, I'm doing personally anywhere from 10-30minutes a day on average about 3-5x a week. Really if I have time, I'll throw it it at the end. I think what you're doing sound good. Just feel be mindful on your recovery and how you're feeling. Also don't be afraid to progress the cardio as well (within reason of your resistance training) goals if you want to.

    New viewer here. I love your channel. I actually just purchased a TG fit based on what I saw in your videos. Unfortunately it had a tear in the head pillow area and I'm not sure how to fix it but that's another story.
    What would you recommend for somebody that has very iffy shoulders? Generally speaking anytime I do any kind of pressing motion with my hands above my shoulders, or even an incline bench press, I am at risk for impingement in the shoulder. It's happened several times. I'm doing hanging therapy to see if that's going to help but in the meantime what can I do on a total gym to work my shoulders?

      Thank you for that and thank you for subscribing. I'd first see if you can find a good physical therapist who's got a TG in their clinic (most do). That way you can run by some exercises with some medical supervision. But here is a video I did on shoulder health with a Total Gym th-cam.com/video/U4GDOjHxBIA/w-d-xo.html

    How often do you recommend doing this set of exercises for someone just starting out. Every other day? Or perhaps a couple of times a week?

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could try it out every other day or one day on two days off in between would be great as well. Really depends on how hard you're pushing this workout, other activities, and your own personal recovery.

    12:47 What are those weird looking handles next to the fat grips? They look cool.

    • @hybridresistance

      Those are the Clench Fitness Band handles. I still need to review these, but mentioned them in my clench fitness footplate review. Shameless plug "SBT15" saves you 15% off those bad boys.

    So the weight is your body weight?

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that is correct but you can add external weight.
