I believe most of us have experienced what it feels like to exercise faith in Christ and what it feels like when we don't. Choose ye this day whom ye shall serve... Great advice.
I love this man with all my heart! Dennis E Simmons was my mission president in The Washington DC North Mission in 1986-1988. He completely changed my life by directing my every thought, action and word, my faith, my hope to Jesus Christ. I love him eternally and I will never forget this talk!
It is possible to achieve this kind of faith but in the current world there are a lot of distractions that easily entice us but faith in Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel is beautiful ❤
"But if not", we will still trust in him. As said Peter, to whom shall we go, for thou hast the words of eternal life. There really is only one true God. Thank you Elder Simmons for the reminder and call to faith.
From April 2004 General Conference: Elder Simmon's message is as true today as then, & as when first spoken by Daniel's friends. That is truth eternal.
To me faith is believing in your iwn ability to channel your energy toward a greater purpose. To extend your love outward. Learn to love indiscriminately. To become one with your surroundings. To love all life with no selfish desire. To add to this paradise, not tax it. To reach a point where goodness is in your heart and where your soul is full with graditude. The sooner you set yourself on this course the sooner you will find out what contentment is .
Faith is not passive; it leads individuals to take action based on their belief in God. This action includes keeping commandments, repenting, and striving to align with God’s will. Faith also enables individuals to draw upon divine power to overcome challenges and receive blessings. Faith must be centered specifically on Jesus Christ. It is through Him that salvation and eternal life are made possible. Faith involves trusting in His atoning sacrifice, believing in His teachings, and relying on His power to save and transform lives. The following is a brief list of actions that someone living and acting in faith will be engaged in. - Prayer: Communicating with God and seeking guidance. - Scripture Study: Learning God's will through sacred texts. - Temple Worship: Making and keeping covenants in sacred spaces. - Serving Others: Emulating Christ's love through selfless service. - Enduring Trials: Trusting God's plan even during hardships. Faith is more than mere belief; it is an active trust in Jesus Christ that motivates righteous action, builds spiritual strength, and connects individuals with God’s power to overcome challenges and progress toward eternal life.

AMEN, In sufferings we are made perfect. We must trust in the midst of our storms. Without our storms we cannot learn true faith.
Faith precedes the miracles. God willing.
I LOVE THIS TALK!
Me too!! 🌟
