I had the same exact bag and it basically weight 2kg when empty and its also fairly big. It only works out if you’re a big guy and capable to carry that much on one shoulder. As much as I really love the look and the quality of this bag, I had to stick with a cheaper looking cordura / nylon ones...
mine being delivered today, bought medium bag for my son last year, outstanding quality, fit, and finish. Will enjoy and use for years and pass down

It’s a beautiful bag. Have the same one. One thing you’ll notice after years is the leather will start to crack/peel I don’t think this will compromise the leather but it’s something to be aware of
Have you used any care products on the Leather at all? Leather is a natural material that requires care, no matter how high quality it is. Using a good conditioner or balm regularly should help prevent issues with cracking, drying, or peeling
Would you consider a review of Filson's Dryden Briefcase? There's hardly any video reviews about that one :)

Great review mate! Did you know the brass clips up until recently, were actually not solid brass? My original briefcase is approx 4 years old. One of my brass clips snapped, and turns out it's antiquated metal that looks like brass. I'm still waiting 6 months later for Filson to replace my strap.

O Yes. To me, yes, it worth every penny. The design are old school, over the years, their materials - tin cloth, twill cotton, brass and bridle leather will aged really very nicely like a bottle of wine.

The Bellroy is definitely bigger than the Filson (12L)!

Yes, this is the 13L. This might not be the most suitable choice for carrying a pair of runners as its internal dividers are better suited for organizing documents, tablets, or smaller laptops - accommodating a pair of runners could be challenging due to its dimensions. Cheers!
