Every time I use alcohol ink on glass I seal it with varnish. Unfortunately, if you get the glass wet with water, some of the colors wash off even after I sprayed them with varnish! I contacted Ranger and was told that the ink isn’t made for glass and if you do use it on glass it has to be sealed with resin. Anyone have any comments?

Is this a technique that could be used on a clear wine bottle? I'm thinking of making a rain chain and would love to dye the glass, but not sure what is safe and what wouldn't fade in the sun. Thanks!

But you can use any alcohol inks. Yes, at first I mix inks with isopropyl and test on the pallet. But if you just pour ink on glass you will get great effect, more bright colors.
What a pointless video. What kind of ink is that? Do you just airdry? Or do they bake in the oven? Will it come off with water? Should they be sealed? With what? Do you actually drink out of them? Or are they just for display?
Can you tell me if you paint a clear coat on the glasses afterward? Does the ink wash off if not?

Anyone tried putting these in the dishwasher? Do they wash well?
They'll come out squeaky clean without any alcohol ink on them. The alcohol ink must be sealed with resin.

I didn’t put alcohol ink inside. I think it’s absolutely safe to drink. We are drinking coffee every day )
