I've had real good luck with these Indian motors. Exceptional value and built better than when the motors came out of the factory. These fellows do a great job and pay attention to the details.

How many hours were spent rewinding the motor? Was it a rebuild and if so do you verify with the manufacturer specs the correct gauge of wire used to rewire?
Mildly concerned about the use of the metal bar to set the first layer of coil into the slots. Seems like the use of some form of hard plastic would reduce the chance of damaging the varnish on the wires of the coil.
Thank you for your statement Yes we are rewinding the motor and we have measured the wire well and wrote down the sizes in the video and we pressed the first step through the iron press so that there was no damage to the insulation. Insulation did nothing,
It took us four days to rewind a motor of such size.

All coils connection is sirij and Maine connection is delta.

Very interesting and informative. But I don't understand where the rotor wires go. Is this a synchronous motor with wound rotor? It would be good to show the assembly of the end bells and rotor, as well as final hipot insulation test, and actually running. :)

My first job after High School....1965....worked in an electric motor shop....not a whole lot different....we'd burn out the old wire, count/measure...make new coils on a machine....put them in the stator....braze up the connections....ROP....new bearings....that's about the size of it....

I like your work and also video but your taping on coil is wrong in both sides there are four mistake in winding
1: wrong taping in connection side
2: wrong taping in back side
3: large paper sheet in stator on coil
4: wrong use of soldering not silver always in copper

Ragazzi scusate se mi permetto ma se la prossima volta tagliate la corona co un flessibile riuscirete tranquillamente a capire che tipo di avvolgimento sia quale collegamento sia stato fatto e con un micrometro riuscirete addirittura a sapere la sezione del rame usata grande magia!!!! Per il resto del motore basta scaldarlo con una fiamma a 100g circa e riuscirete addirittura a pulire lo statore buon lavoro
