thank you sir I got the same code and was able to figure it out. I thought cylinder 4 was on the right side away from the belt but bc of your test light demonstration I was able to find out that it was the first glow plug located by the belt of the car. I had already replaced the harness and what I thought was cylinder 4 but bc of your demonstration I was able to use the test light to find the problem. thanks auto resource!
Starting Tech If your glow plugs are faulty would it cause the coil light to flash on n off, and make the relays click when i turn the ignition on? I have a seat leon 1.9 diesel 2007, n i have changed relays and i stil have a problem starting my car, when it does finaly start, it'l run for a minute n the coil light will come on n relays wil click n the engine shuts off. Can anyone help?
Starting Tech was out at it there again, turn the key and the coil light comes on and it clicks and it sometimes clicks off n straight back on again, but wont start, turn the key off n back on n then it starts, runs for a second or 2 then switches itself off, then i was turning the key to start it n there was no coil light n no clicking. Done this a good few times n no joy. Then it came on for a split second then off again. I put my foot on the brake n then the coil light clicked on n off rapid. But stil never started. Would a brake switch have anything to do with this happening? Just cause i seen a video of a guy with a bora saying his coil light came on when he was driving and it was due to a faulty brake switch behind the pedal. Im fed up throwing money on parts and getting no where fast. Ive checked online n no one seems to have the same issue with there cars doing this. Have you any ideas what it could be? I wil get glow plugs tomorrow and see if that helps as ive had it a year and never put a set in it. But if the problem stil happens then im stuck.
khanohare could be a lot of things. Battery, starter , glow plugs. If your fed up stop buying parts and save up for a Mechanic who works on your type of cars that has a lot of great reviews
The cylinder number depends on where your timing side is (the side of the water pump) so if your engine is mounted with the timing on the right side of the car, your cylinder numbers would go 4 3 2 1, and visa versa

Thanks much for the clear video. Appreciated. I checked my 2002 TDI 1.9 and the glow plugs all tested fine but, I still had a PO674 code. I cleared code and (so far) has not returned. I also had a PO 768 code. Any thoughts of the PO 768 code? My goal is 500,000 on this Jetta. Right at 300,000 miles with limited problems. Take care. Your videos are more professional than most Thanks.
