A lovely constellation of timepieces that reflects the thought and enthusiasm of the collector behind it! I’m looking forward to watching Part II and beyond!
I imagine someone touched on this in an earlier comment- All on straps. My collection - all on bracelets. Nice collection. Especially love the VC. Saw one recently at their boutique and want it.
Nice collection big man. The 21 is wonderful. That blue diver is a gorgeous beast. And very nice to see your appreciation of cheaper independents like Baltic
The VC is based on a drivers watch, many of which were made by various makers during that era. You could more easily read the time while holding onto the steering wheel.
@@justin_hast It was actually the watchmakers who converted them. They had large stocks of pocket watches, that were not selling because of the economic depression, uncertainties of war etc, and saw an opportunity to shift some of them. i have collected vintage watches for over thirty years. I mostly wear modern watches, which I also enjoy, but vintage/antique is where my main interest lies.
I absolutely agree on the IWC Portuguese chrono and ALS Lagne1 being neovintage icons. I’d say Omega SMP300 Bond watch is out there with them. And the three would make a terrific collection. It’s an interesting period when many brands were experiencing a rebirth after the quartz crisis. Lot’s of under-appreciated watches from that era. Given that everyone is into integrated sports watches originating in 70s now , the 90s watches should be hot in some 20 years.
It’s great to see a truly personal and therefor unique collection. It’s different, interesting, educational. A great conversation piece holistically and individually. I feel like many succumb to the media resulting in boring cliche collections. Where one must have a sub, a speedy, well, you get what I mean.
Wow, you are set with that collection. Great taste! Have not seen that AP before, and the VC has been a favorite of mine for years. I think my personal favorite would be the IWC for the splash in color and its sportiness.
Hi Justin, new scriber after stumbling in to a few of your videos. I really am enjoying what I have seen so far . The watches you cover are not in my price range but I can definitely appreciate each piece for its quality of design and workmanship . Look forward to watching more of your content .
I am sure I meet you once in Portobello Road. I was the guy that collected www and had a full set of the Dirty Dozen. Anyway I like your show. I did remember if it was you that your finance was with you at the time and you was convincing her the investment value of watches. Good luck with the you tube!
Beautiful collection just started watching your videos and really like them, I like the collection videos and like the one on ones you did with other collectors
Excellent video Justin. All your videos are very professional, engaging and informative. Just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to the journey! Thanks!
@@justin_hast ah ok thanks for the info, yea I have the 36.5mm version of this piece, and i'm wondering if the smaller scale of the watch overall might mean that the straight spring bars won't work so well... since you say that it's already snug on the 40mm version. i only recently got mine (about a month old) and been using the original strap that comes with the watch. i love it! but just been thinking of getting some straps to dress it down. maybe i should just check with Molequin if they've had any similar experience with customers...
Great collection and video. For part two it would be great if u didn’t show the whole collection off the bat and in the backdrop. Please for SUSPENSE reveal as you go.
I really like the video and your collection but there is one thing I don't understand. You said you couldn't afford the IWC Cousteau, which is around 6000€ but you have a Vacheron Constantin that costs 5 times more than the IWC🤔 Maybe I misunderstood you
🤣🤣 you’re absolutely right! The truth on the Aquatimer is that it popped up and I had that gut response that I wanted to secure it, but didn’t actually have the funds, so went rogue! 🤣👊🏼👊🏼
Kudos to you for putting together such a nice collection. Always enjoyable seeing one with a nice diversity and not overloaded with pepsi gmt’s, royal oak etc.
I have a soft spot for the 1921, incredible design. Also your grandfathers watch looks like it’s in incredible condition!
A lovely constellation of timepieces that reflects the thought and enthusiasm of the collector behind it! I’m looking forward to watching Part II and beyond!
Great collection look forward to the next instalment!
Thanks Neil!

I absolutely love the way that you tell stories... A wonderful collection, shared in a beautiful setting. You have a gift in what you're doing!
Very kind 👊🏼

Lovely collection there. Watchfinder brought me to your channel. looking forward to more.
Thanks MS!

Thanks for the comment! In fact, there was lineage before that to trench watches, where officers turned pocket watches to one side, and added lugs.

Also, the converted pocket watches did not have the crown at 1/2pm; drivers watches did ;)

never knew Clark Kent was into watches
I will take that! :)
Amazing collection brother 👏
Thank you for another great video
great, tasteful collection!
what a fantastic collection! quick question - how does the straight spring bars on your strap work on the VC 1921? doest it "rub" against the case?
Funny you should say that mate - I was just getting a new one made at Jean Rousseau. I find it’s ok - but certainly a snug fit!! 🤣🤣 you?

Non-Royal Oak APs are so underrated. Not just by customers, but also by the AP themselves.
Too right mate!
Lovely collection! Strange background noises though, heard a shriek and got startled lol 11:03
The AP steel watch was my fav.
Love it ! When is part 2 coming ??
