That R2 looks EXACTLY like R2 VC25, just with another paint job. The sculpt is identical. And i don't blame them for using it, cause it is by far the best looking r2 sculpt so far. Pretty cool figures these, but the card backs are awesome! Thanks for the presentation!

Getting ROTJ Boba Fett in this Droids color scheme so soon is such a wonderful surprise. The cards are so well done, terrific work Hasbro. I was able to order these with no problems today :)
I completely slept right through the exclusives, it was 6 am for West Coast, wish the the preorders were more like the last set of reveals, oh well, might get a restock

Really wish they would have put mando’s pulse rifle in with Boba. His ROTJ blaster makes no sense. Would have been an easy fix!

I was able to order 2 of each of the TVC figures yesterday, along with the Black Series Boba Fett. It was one of those rare moments where I got in an order before the typical quick sellout. The TVC Boba figure sold out in 11 minutes, but the others lasted quite a while, so hopefully everyone was able to get what they wanted. Hope all you friends outside of the US have a source for these too. They do look like fun card backs and figures. Cheers all!

I was absolutely amazed that I actually got all three pre-ordered, *plus* the unexpected Black Series Droids Boba Fett. The planets must have been in perfect alignment for me because I *never* have success pre-ordering on Target exclusives.
Speaking only for myself, I think it would have been neat to also include the Mandalorian Rifle with this figure (both TVC and BS), as a sideways nod to the animated Holiday Special Boba Fett, which shares similar coloring.
Hasbro has done a great job with these. Now just let people buy them without the exclusivity and instant sellout.

This Fett is not from droids he is really from “the faithful wokkiee” the cartoon inside the holiday special on tv, where he was all John Wayne Western!!!! As he was supposed to be!!!!

As I feared, realistic sculpts painted to match the cartoons. I was hoping for Hasbro to actually do some cartoon style sculpts. Ah well.
To me at least, Boba is the only one that looks realistic.
Not when they are a retail exclusive, will always be a repaint/partial retool.

Ordered today!! Costly $50 for three figures. I also went to a UK toy site and purchased the six clone figures that are Walmart exclusives which I’ll pay the 94 pounds vs Walmart garbage.

Right. I can’t understand how Hasbro doesn’t understand how they are screwing us by making these Target exclusives. Antoc Merrick’s X Wing was never on their site for pre order either.

Very nice, I'd really like to get my hands on that R2! Interesting that they used the older TVC R2-D2 mold (the ROTJ one with the drink tray) instead of the build-a-droid mold.

I got boba today mate! I didn’t know that it’s kinda expensive than the normal ones. Cuz I was just looking at toys and then I saw the only one boba fett hanging on a shelf, and it’s articulated so I bought it lol. But I won’t open him

Hasbro needs to do more of these types of figures for the vintage collection…. Bring back the POTF from the 80s with the coins repack and re releases with the coin and new VC number. I’ll gladly keep buying

Look at that GORGEOUS Boba Fett mold! Pretty disappointing that they're Target exclusives though. Target tends to have some figures in bad condition, so that's the only real downside to it
he looked sub par in my opinion- like the '90's style Kenner figures-
If it's possible, I would love for them to repaint that Boba white and release him as a Prototype Armour Boba Fett.

I am sure they will. That ROTJ Fett would have cost a fortune to make. All new with god knows how many paint ops. So they will make use of the mold as time goes on.

I really want that R2 it's got the sensorscope n everything. I need it. I have other R2's that are just plain Casual no special features to them but I been looking for sensor scope r2 for awhile & this will go perfect for my ESB collection.
Not another Target exclusive. Hasbro would make more money if other stores carried them.

That Boba does look wicked awesome. I've been dabbling into TVC, so I just might have to try and get Boba, but it'll probably be a mess.

The recently announced 2D animated 'Clone Wars' wave of 6 TVC was a real contradiction.. live action movie accurate figures on cardbacks based on the 2D animated series ?? the figures in my opinion should have been based on the animated 2D appearance to match the card art. On the other hand, todays announcement of 2D animated Droids figures is great to see. Star Wars retro TV finally getting a nod is a fine example of when a Toy company actually gets it totally right .. great job Hasbro. Keep this standard up and I will buy everything you produce in TVC. Cant wait to see a 'Rebels' line of VTC and 'Bad Batch' TVC and dare I say an 'Ewoks' animated line too? What does everyone else think?

Hasbro really makes me angry sometimes. Tried to pre-order these this morning, but target still not ship to Canada, nor will they ship to a forwarding warehouse. Since we're in lock down again I can't have them shipped to my friend's PO box either, as we're not allowed across the border. Why does hasbro make things like this exclusives?... They did the same thing with the death star droid and I'm still waiting on Walmart to process my pre-order from June. Although to be fair it's probably delayed by hasbro themselves. I hate exclusives so much.... Sorry for the rant, absolutely love your channel, keep up the amazing content. Just wanted to let you know how much of a struggle it is to get your hands on stuff like this living in Canada.
Target sucks and I live in the US.
They look great and the only drawback is that Sigh they are Target exclusives. Scalpers are going to have a field day with this trio ! I wonder if they will do the Whole Droids line even the cancelled 2nd wave (hmm Vlix?) I think this is a test to see the interest.

Those are beautiful looking. Being in Canada I can't purchase them. I hope I can find them later. I'd be willing to pay double price for a Fett. They should just make them exclusives for like a few months. With a wider release at a later date at other retailers. They'd still sell a ton. Everybody wants things as soon as possible.

Odd that they didn’t go with the Retro Fett mold and repaint it in the Droids colors. Still, I’ll be on the hunt for Fett. C3PO is fine, but R2 is disappointing. He just looks like a white vinyl figure colored with magic marker.
I really can't take it anymore with these exclusives... I haven't seen a brand new VC figure since 2019. I hope at least Americans will have easy access to these exclusives

These are gorgeous! Seems a bit odd in terms of consistency that they reproduced the original Droids packaging for TVC instead of scaling it up for TBS like they did for TPM, TCW, CW, POTF, etc. But hey, I certainly won't complain about more 3.75" being thrown our way!
Ugh, my Target had these for a while and I put off getting them. Once my finances were finally stable to get them, they were gone.
The GOOD: Great looking cards with coin, no faux weathering, leaflet or sticker. Paint apps look great and a re use of the excellent recent ROTJ sculpt. The BAD: Wrong weapon and no update to the sculpt in terms of correct holster and removal of pouches. The ugly: re use of that undersized C3PO and the fact that we probably won't be able to get a hold of these outside North America!!!! LOL
They arent pulse exclusives buddy, so IDT, SAF, C&C etc will all have them.
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed they didn't include the right gun. I wonder about sneaking the bubble open and sliding one in but if you are doing that much farting about, perhaps just repaint a more retro/vintage one and go the whole hog. I'll grab one (or two) and sit there and ponder it. 🤔

@@MightyEmperor Coincidently, I just started a Animated Boba Fett custom using a spare body from the most recent 3.75 5 POA Boba released in the 2 pack with Han solo. It's just missing the helmet/headsculpt. If i manage to get 2 of the new Hasbro releases carded, i'll open one of them and give him Mando's pulse rifle. Should look pretty good!
@@bikerscout7467 Yeah, I'd just had a nose and you can probably get a cheap Fett for a fiver (including that 2-pack one) but just swapping guns seems a lot less hassle.

Oh man I love these Bossk! I have been catching up with Droids on Disney Plus and I have really enjoyed those episodes.
I wasn’t a big fan of Droids as a kid really. But after watching some episodes 36 years later I must say it was a great show.

Nice but C3PO and r2d2 stan solo are more like the original ones from the droids cartoon line . Boba fett would the spear style weapon bit like the end of mandalorian rifle gun like the animated debut figure
