- My Tidal Mermail Combo deck for performing cool synchro/xyz/link hybrid combos!
This water deck is on the experimental side, I wanted to get this out there to conclude my recent videos so I may progress with additional combos and builds featuring alternative more competitive builds
Always listening for ways to improve my decks, combos and everything there is about Water!

I loved playing friendlies with my friends after there was so many fusion based support cards in super or higher rarity in the set that Invokers came to America, cause I got to have my beautiful little fluffals absolutely stomping burning abyss and other anti otk decks of that era. I still have them and from time to time still play with them. Great video, felt nostalgic about seeing mermails in 2024 and love the concept of the deck. Plus the Extra Deck Top Loaders are soooo cute with the Sakura pettals falling! Keep up the good work and proud of you for making it through locals!

Fun !! I've been looking into water decks , since " WATER !" gdhshshs and i've been really enjoying the playstyle and art of these cards. + your deckprofiles/combo videos are honestly always entertaining and funny to watch !! I've been looking at Mermails recently and your videos have been really helpful! I played with them virtually over 6 years ago and really liked the water atlantean aesthetic they bring. I'll keep digging around, I'm considering buying the physical cards to have a more up to date fun deck. Keep up the great work and enthusiasm for the deck! For the sidedeck i 100% recommend white howling. You just need a single water on the field to stop your opponents spells for a turn after they get one in grave. Been playing it in ghoti and it just winds games by itself. Cool video!

The more I see this deck, the more I feel this is pretty much the water version of snake-eyes. I also have a sneaky feeling that Rage of the Abyss (next main set) will give something that might catapult this deck to top tier contention. I picked up the high rarity core at the begining of the year. It was just a matter of time for the lord and saviour Tidal to come back to us.

Idk how many people have said this before, but your voice/speech patter is very soothing
Have you thought about the ice jade package as they let you get into extra interrupts and bodies on board and is super consistent

Since the Ice Barrier stuff is getting ported over in the new set, have you tried messing around with any of it in your Merlantean builds? For example, Mirror Mage makes Swap Frog a 1-card Toadally Awesome, and is generally just a good discard target when you draw it.
Ice barrier stuff is good and I wouldn’t mix it with mermail/Atlantean cards.
I’d do what a really cool guy in my discord does and go Icebarriers with frogs/icejade

Is the deck worth playing without toad? I want to try it on master duel, everything else in the deck is legal except beaver
No moray of greeds? Also fishborg planter seems really good in this deck too.
If you need more consistency I like white stingray & icejade tremora. Also I love ice barrier (the trap card) in water decks like this.
All in all great deck profile, but I would have liked if you showcased a combo or two.

Actually, yes! That’s my plan eventually!
My first deck ever was Volcanic, then picked up Traptrix, then Harpies for Wind, settled on Lightsworns for Light, and Mermails for Water!
@@shireygo ooooooh. My first deck was a Jinzo/Gadget deck. Good luck with figuring out the dark one. I’d recommend a zombie world build with Doomking Balerdroch. So that way you could have a constant revival and negate or banish your opponents monsters with ease.
You could play an armored xyz engine although it could wind up not being all that great
Why do those neptabyss look secret, are they a special edition or something?
What would your build be like carrying Icejade Ran Aegirine, or do you consider that it is not necessary to establish your combo?
Ram aegirine is a very good card, my build using her is very different

I was watching but when you said beaver plays through shifter in this deck I started listening 😂. Been playing this deck since before toad came out shifter is so popular at my locals it just makes it not fun 😔
Yeah! I highly recommend you put in 1x Spright Blue, 1x Spright Jet, 1x Spright Double Cross. This allows beaver to make Gigantic Spright and then you spec summon Blue off gigantic, blue search jet, jet search cross, link Jet & Blue into I:P and set the double cross!
Alternatively, if you dont want to play sprights in main, you can play the melffy engine with 1x melffy catty, 1x melffy pinny (water monster) and play 1x melffy of the forest & 1x herald of the arc light in extra
I'd love to see more water stuff, especially if it is not focused on link monsters, i don't want to ever play links. The goyo combo i saw in the other video is so cool and would love to hear if you got anything interesting you could do with icejades, i am always looking for neat combos to boost that archetype with.

To me the fun was always using his summon effect, I was big into the cartoon back then, so using Poseidra’s ability to tribute 3 to summon and nuke my opponents back row gave him big egyptian god vibes to me, that and that one spell card that raises a water monster’s attack by 1000 made him my perfect boss monster. I guess having a big bad boss monster is still my preferred way to fight considering I play Galaxy-Eyes and Dark Magicians nowadays
